Set upon the hillside of Montalto Tarugo overlooking rolling hills of olive groves, vineyards and grain fields, Ca le Cerque provides a relaxing holiday retreat for families and friends. Panoramic views take in the sea at Fano and the mountain peaks of Monte Catria. The home occupies the entire top floor of the house with its own covered patio and accommodates up to 6 people in two double bedrooms; one with en suite bathroom, and a twin bedroom with bunk beds.
Large oak trees welcome guests into the landscaped gardens of fragrant roses, mature trees and a pond. All outdoor areas can be used for relaxing in the shade, sunbathing and dining. Isola di Fano, a few minutes away, is the local village for necessities. The property is well situated for the trails of Trekking del Metauro, trips to the beach, or to heritage hill towns like Urbino and its museums. Market day is Monday in Fossombrone; ten minutes away, and Fano on the coast is famous for its seafood and antiques markets.
Ca le Cerque is located only 3 kilometres from the nearest village of Isola di Fano. The road to the house is asphalt, making easy access for all vehicles. You will find Trekking del Metauro signs pointing the way to local hiking trails all around the local area. The Furlo Gorge is only 15 minutes from the house and provides a pleasant spot for relaxing by the river and swimming.
Access to the coastal towns of Fano, Pesaro and Rimini and The Republic of San Marino to the north and Senigallia and Ancona to the south is fast via the E78 superstrada (four lane highway) and the A14 autostrada. Tuscany and Umbria are just over the border and, with only an hour and a half to Arezzo or Perugia, it is possible to easily visit many places in both regions; including Florence, Sienna, Gubbio, Perugia and Assisi. For trips further afield such as Rome or Venice, you have the choice of taking the car via the autostrade or the train service. |
