Set upon the hillside of Montalto Tarugo overlooking rolling hills of olive groves, vineyards and grain fields, Ca le Cerque provides a relaxing holiday retreat for families and friends. Panoramic views take in the sea at Fano and the mountain peaks of Monte Catria. The home occupies the entire top floor of the house with its own covered patio and accommodates up to 6 people in two double bedrooms; one with en suite bathroom, and a twin bedroom with bunk beds.
Large oak trees welcome guests into the landscaped gardens of fragrant roses, mature trees and a pond. All outdoor areas can be used for relaxing in the shade, sunbathing and dining. Isola di Fano, a few minutes away, is the local village for necessities. The property is well situated for the trails of Trekking del Metauro, trips to the beach, or to heritage hill towns like Urbino and its museums. Market day is Monday in Fossombrone; ten minutes away, and Fano on the coast is famous for its seafood and antiques markets.
Ca le Cerque is located only 3 kilometres from the nearest village of Isola di Fano. The road to the house is asphalt, making easy access for all vehicles. You will find Trekking del Metauro signs pointing the way to local hiking trails all around the local area. The Furlo Gorge is only 15 minutes from the house and provides a pleasant spot for relaxing by the river and swimming.
Access to the coastal towns of Fano, Pesaro and Rimini and The Republic of San Marino to the north and Senigallia and Ancona to the south is fast via the E78 superstrada (four lane highway) and the A14 autostrada. Tuscany and Umbria are just over the border and, with only an hour and a half to Arezzo or Perugia, it is possible to easily visit many places in both regions; including Florence, Sienna, Gubbio, Perugia and Assisi. For trips further afield such as Rome or Venice, you have the choice of taking the car via the autostrade or the train service.

* Please note our availability calendar accurately reflects bookings as soon as confirmation deposits are received. We do not show the property as vacant when it is booked.
Rates quoted are for four people - for one couple using only one bedroom, deduct 20%; for five or six people, add 20%. Ask about discounts for multiple week stays. A deposit amounting to 20% of the total booking is required at reservation, payable by credit card via PayPal. The remaining rental fee is due in cash on arrival plus a 300 euro security deposit that will be returned to you at departure less any costs of breakages or damages. We aim to create a comfortable home environment at Ca Le Cerque. Please let us know any suggestions you may have for improvements.
* Prices include electricity, gas, water, final cleaning. Bed linen and bath towels are included. Please do not take bath towels for use outside or away from the house for swimming. Linen and towels will be changed weekly if your stay is longer than one week. Cot (crib) and high chair provided but please bring own bedding for cot.
* Please arrive after 4pm and depart before 11am to allow us to prepare the property for your stay or the stay of the next guests.

Wonderful week in Isola di Fano near Fossombrone at Ca le Cerque

We had a wonderful, unforgettable 12 days at Ca Le Cerque. It was by far the nicest place we have rented through VRBO and close to all of the areas we were interested in visiting. There are many hill towns within an hours drive and the coast with beautiful beaches is just 30 minutes away. Gubbio, in Umbria, is an easy hours drive, and the Sibillini Mountains are quite close. The house is well equipped for relaxing (tv, dvd player,) and cooking if one wants to bring back treasures from the weekly markets. And if you just want to read, the balcony and the garden are properly outfitted for a leisurely afternoon dozing and reading. The house is on an incredible ridge with fantastic views in all directions and in the evening, gentle breezes cool the house. We look forward to returning for another vacation, and also look forward to wonderful hosts. Suzanne and Earle are two very special people who make you feel like friends the moment you drive up.
