My wife, four kids (17, 15, 15 and 15) and I spent a very relaxing week in the cottage in mid August. Fantastic weather, cottage, pool and gardens. A superbly refurbished original cottage with plenty of space and great gardens on three sides for stretching out. The pool was well used and set in its own well spaced enclosed garden. Autun on market day was well worth a visit, the local Caves were also worth a trip and apart from that we spent most of the time in the house or the pool. The photos available don't do the cottage justice. We will definitely go back.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

We had a great time at the 4 bedroom property for 2 weeks, making periodic use of the pool. The property is on a hill and has interesting and beautiful views across the valley to the mountain range and most of the villge of St Symphorien. The setting is very much rural with 2 working farms very close with livestock of all shapes and sizes to entertain the children. In addition, we made full use of the tennis court in the village, easy access we saw no-one else play whilst we there! In addition there is some fabulous running terrain from 2 to 12 miles. The property has a spacious kitchen and lounge ideal for large families. Whilst there we visited Autun, typical french town with nice shops, a good market and Roman ampitheatre. Le Creusot is bigger more industrial and has the nearest hypermarkets Carrefour and Geant. We travelled further afield to Beaune, interesting town with its Hospices and just had to go on a couple of trips to the vineyards. we went horse racing in Vitteaux (60 mile drive) a very rual setting and also went tree climbing in Givry (great fun for all ages from 7 to 40!). All in all a great time was had by all! Thank you!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children.

We spent a week in "la Petite Maison" this summer with 2 little kids ( 2 and 5 years) and enjoyed everything about our stay. The owners , who are super friendly, made arranging and paying real easy, the cottage was amazing, so nicely renovated, decorated, clean with everything you need. It was very safe for our young kids, with a walled in yard, farm animals all around us.Jumping in the nice pool with views of the burgundy valley after exploring cute little towns and sampling the local wine was perfect. We highly recommend this property and would love to go back!!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
