Our family of 4 (with two girls aged 4 and 7) spent the first week of August in apt. 6 at Pallazo Rosso. It could not have been a better choice of place to stay. It is perfectly located in central Veneto which allowed us to do day-trips to Bassano del Grappa, Venise, Padua, Verona, Vicenza and Lac Garda. Our first impressions of Pallazo Rosso were great as the place is beautiful, peaceful and kept very clean. Although our apartment was not hugely spacious, it was fine for our purpose and the beds are very comfortable. This place has beautiful grounds and a fabulous pool (towels are conveniently provided) which our girls enjoyed very much either before we left on a day-trip or upon our return. What is great is that there is a BBQ at your disposal which allowed us to eat outside on the large terrase and converse with other travellers if we wished (we met very nice families from France, England and Germany) while the kids played on the grounds. The owners are extremely warm and generous and attend to all your needs in order to make your stay as enjoyable and stress-free as possible. They even made a point of being present on our day of departure to wish us well. As well, if your kids want (ours did), they will gladly take them on a tour of their farm to feed the various animals and to pick up the eggs that were laid by the chickens that day. In fact, fresh eggs are available to all the guests every morning. Another nice touch is that bicycles are made available to the guests should they want to tour the surrounding area by bike. There is also a laundry machine available for use by all the guests. Overall, I have only positive comments to write about this place and would recommend it to anyone wishing to experience a stay at a farm house in the Veneto region. On a scale of 1 to 10, this place is a definite 10! Kudos to Phil and Sylvia for all the time, energy and money that they've invested into this place to make it what it is today...a gem of a place that will provide great Holiday memories to all that have the chance to spend some time here. If you want a true Italian experience, you will stay at Palazzo Rosso! The owners, Phil and Sylvia, are on-site everyday, all day, ready to answer any questions you may have. They also provide a nice list of local restaurants, bars, ice cream shops and other attractions so the guests know the best places to go that they would never find unless a local had steered them in that direction. They are extremely friendly and make sure that they are doing everything they can so you enjoy your stay. The property is extremely clean, maintains excellent standards, and is environmentally friendly. The apartments have all the necessities of a normal house; it's the perfect home away from home. I would and will suggest this getaway to any and all friends/family. I definitely plan on staying there again!

We visited the Palazzo Rosso with three families (with babies each) this spring, and enjoyed our stay very much. We loved the perfectly equipped apartments, the garden and the pool area, and the huge roofed front court where we could play with the children when the weather was bad. Phil and Sylvie, the owners, were more than helpful and made us feel comfortable throughout our stay (don't forget to try their wine!). In total, we can very much recommend the Palazzo Rosso. Thanks again for the nice days!

We stayed in Appartment 6 in September 2009 for 12 days - and we did enjoy our vacation very much. The appartment is very comfortable, Phil and Silvia are always of great help and have a lot of good tips for having nice trips in the region. The region itself is overwhelming - Venice, Vicenza, Verona, and all the less known places which are as well precious. Many thanks to Phil and Silvia for their friendliness, for offering such a great property to their guests and giving so much service for a really good price. We will take the impressions we made to the German winter and will warm our heart by thinking of Palazzo Rosso. Best wishes to you, Phil and Silvia, we will come back to you! My wife and I have just spent 2 weeks at Palazzo Rossi with my daughter and grandson. The apartment was excellent and very well equipped. The whole complex was clean and well maintained with the pool being a real bonus. The owners Phil and Sylvy were on site every day and worked hard to make everyone welcome. They advised on local facilities and attractions as well as providing free "free range" eggs and fresh fruit from the orchard. Our only disappointment was that we missed the grape harvest. Despite the deteriorating £/euro exchange rate the apartment represented excellent value for money

Owner response: I will have to get a newsletter going so that our guests know when we harvest the grapes. By the way we harvested 18 tons yesterday. Phil and Silvy Palazzo Rosso Farm

We spent two weeks at Palazzo Rosso in mid summer, in glorious sunshine. When we booked in January during a wet Scottish winter we thought it looked pretty special. We were right - the conversion of the barn from a run-down farm storehouse into six modern apartments has been done with great sensitivity towards the original building. The honeyed stonework has been preserved and cleaned inside and out, with the magnificent timber beams retained to support the tiled roof over the barn and large arcaded courtyard. Our apartment was well furnished and equipped to a high standard, and most importantly had quiet, efficient air-con that kept us cool at night. Our days were spent taking trips to the many old towns and villages of the Veneto, alternating with lazy days lounging by the big pool with the other groups staying at the Palazzo. We could soak up the culture, and soak up the sun as well. It was never too busy around the apartments, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out. All of the above is reason enough to go there, but what made the holiday extra special were the two owners, Phil and Sylvie, who made us all feel part of their family. They were always on hand with tips on places to see (and places to avoid), local restaurants, beaches, markets – all the stuff that’s not in the guidebooks. They gave us eggs and plums from the farm (wonderful), and invited us to join in a huge pig-roast barbecue with several hundred locals in the Palazzo grounds. At no time did we feel like “just another customer”. A memorable holiday with two lovely people - you should go there.

Owner response: We also had a great time with Colin and Judy especially at the Pig roast with lots of great food and wine. It is very rewarding for us to know that Colin and Judy took the time to tell everyone (including us) how much they enjoyed their holiday. Phil and Silvy Palazzo Rosso Farm

Wir kommen wieder, Jürgen + Susi + (Bruno - neu) mit Timmy Mile Grazie - Thank you for all - See you again

The apartment was very comfortable, perfect for a family with small children. The satellite TV, DVD player & stereo made life easier when it rained. The kitchen was very well equipped and there were lots of great places to go out for dinner, the Italians all take their children out with them which was a nice change and made our evenings much more enjoyable. There were lots of places to go and visit close by, we stayed for nearly two weeks and still didn't get to see everything. We had a great time staying over new year, we even joined in a local new years party which was great fun. looking forward to coming back soon. Henry, Caroline, Sarah & Freya Iddon. Blackpool, England. Comfortable, nice showers, enough towels, good beds, very complete kitchen. Nice surroundings, beautiful hills, well located to the A4 highway. We like the fire outside. You've been very helpful and kind. We like the fresh eggs !! Ambra Walstra & friends from Holland

Clean, well maintained property with fascinating history. Owners were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. Wonderful to have English speaking hosts. Traveled with our 3 children (2 teens, 1 pre-teen), and we all loved the available bicycles and the laid back, casual atmosphere. Outdoor patio beautiful and relaxing. Easy train access to Venice. Enjoyed day trips to Lake Garda and some quaint mountain villages. Great pizza in Longare! Highly recommended for all travellers!
