A 13.5x6 metre pool was installed in the spring 2008. There are extensive gardens for guests on both sides of the building, as well as an orchard and courtyard animals (horse, ponies, sheep, goats, pigs, chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits and dogs).
The building faces south and has views out over our farmland, with a river and the Colli Berici hills to the west side, the Villa courtyard garden to the north side and our 15 acres of Vineyards to the east.
Places to visit: The historic town Vicenza is only 17km from the farm & there is a cycle track to the centre for approximately 9km. The Berici hills are only 2km from the farm, where there are many hiking & biking tracks as well as an area famous for climbing called Lumignano. The spa towns of Abano & Montegrotto Terme are only 25km away.

The apartment was very comfortable, perfect for a family with small children. The satellite TV, DVD player & stereo made life easier when it rained. The kitchen was very well equipped and there were lots of great places to go out for dinner, the Italians all take their children out with them which was a nice change and made our evenings much more enjoyable. There were lots of places to go and visit close by, we stayed for nearly two weeks and still didn't get to see everything. We had a great time staying over new year, we even joined in a local new years party which was great fun. looking forward to coming back soon. Henry, Caroline, Sarah & Freya Iddon. Blackpool, England. Comfortable, nice showers, enough towels, good beds, very complete kitchen. Nice surroundings, beautiful hills, well located to the A4 highway. We like the fire outside. You've been very helpful and kind. We like the fresh eggs !! Ambra Walstra & friends from HollandDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

My husband and I along with a couple of friends stayed at the Palazzo Rosso for one week. We were all so impressed by the cleanliness and location of the villa (nestled between very quaint towns that are accessible by bicycles that the Villa provides). The apt we stayed in was complete in providing the necessary day to day items we needed for a "home away from home". Our host Phil and Sylvy were aways available to give us information about local attractions and the directions to get us there...as well as recommending nice, clean restraurants within the vicinity. We will forever be thankful for telling us about the local wine cantina (about 1 mile away from the villa) -- a definite MUST for tourists and wine lovers to see! This has THE perfect location: 45 minutes from Venice, 50 minutes from Verona, 1 hour away from 2 lovely beaches and 1 hour from Lake Garda. What more can you ask for? Needless to say, my husband and I will be making a trip back there soon...it truly is like having another "home" in italy.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We (a family with 3 grown-ups) stayed for a week in the first week of april. The location was outstanding. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and there was everything you need for a fine holiday. Phil and Silvy were very helpfully and fix everything in a minute. Comfortable, washing machine, good beds, complete kitchen. Wireless LAN, Table tennis with a new net, bikes for everyone, wine. The pool was open for those who were brave enough. Nice surroundings,we enjoyed a bike trip into the beautiful hills with fabulous palazzi.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Sabine, René, Sophie, Maxime, FabriceRecommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, adventure seekers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Een echte aanrader!!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

About the owner: Hi I am Phil. My wife Silvy and I have owned and managed our 400 acre farm since 1992 when I moved to Italy from the UK. We started to rent out one apartment in 2002 and enjoyed having people around so much that we decided to restore a huge old 17th century barn and farm house which we turned into 6 holiday rental apartments.
Why the Owner Chose Vicenza:
We were lucky enough to inherit Palazzo Rosso Farm from my wife Silvy's family.
The Unique Benefits at this Farmhouse:
Our guests love to come and stay at Palazzo Rosso because they can enjoy the benefits of being close to many beautiful places such as Venice, Verona, Padova, Mantova and Vicenza and at the same time when they want to relax they can sit back and enjoy the farm location and beautiful surroundings at Palazzo Rosso.
