This beautiful Narragansett, RI summerhouse beach rental is owner-occupied for 1/3 of the summer and is kept in excellent condition. There are many touches to make the vacation house feel like home.
The house is easy walking distance to Scarborough State Beach, basketball and tennis courts and playground/park. The property is located at 21 Summit Rd., Narragansett.
The house has 4 bedrooms featuring new beds, dressers and night tables. The house includes 1 Queen and 3 double size beds, with comforters and pillows. The beds were all replaced in 2006/07. Each room has large closets. Two of the bedrooms feature new "doghouse dormers" for Summer 2007, which allow enhanced ocean breezes to flow through the house.
There are 2 full bathrooms, 1 upstairs and 1 downstairs. The bathrooms both have ceramic tile floors. Each bathroom has a shower and bathtub.
The house features an eat-in-kitchen, remodeled Spring 2005. The kitchen includes new cabinetry, appliances, and ceramic tile floor. In February 2008, a minor renovation was undertaken that added a new sheetrock ceiling, recessed and pendant lighting, and crown molding. There are many cabinets and the kitchen includes all necessary pots, pans, plates, silverware, etc. so you do not need to bring anything!
The living room is furnished with a 27-inch JVC cable television, Onkyo component stereo and Samsung DVD player. New couches were purchased in June 2007. The dining area is adjacent to the living room and contains a large dining table.
The house will be provided with unlimited free local and long distance phone service. Free wireless internet service (wi-fi) will be available (bring your own laptop).
The laundry room/mud room is located next to the living room and is provided with a washer and dryer. The mudroom has been remodeled in February 2008 and features bead board wainscoting, crown molding, hanging pegs around the room, and storage benches.
The downstairs bathroom was renovated in February/March 2008 with a new ceramic tile floor, beadboard wainscoting, and hanging pegs.
The entire exterior of the house was painted in April/May 2008.
The house will be outfitted with all new windows in Fall 2009.
The entire house will be recarpeted and the interior repainted prior to Summer 2009.
Baby gates are installed at the top and the bottom of the stairs to protect your little ones.
The large fenced-in backyard boasts plenty of room for entertaining. The yard is outfitted with patio, enclosed outdoor shower, Weber gas grill, and table with umbrella and lawn chairs. A wagon will be provided to walk to the beach with your children and belongings. Enjoy a cocktail under the stars in the hammock!
Nearby attractions include Newport (20 min.), Roger Williams Zoo in Providence, Point Judith Lighthouse, the ferries to Block Island, Mystic Seaport and Aquarium, the Coast Guard House restaurant, Adventureland park in Narragansett (go carts/batting cages/bumper boats), Watch Hill Carousel, etc.
A beach wagon and pails, shovels, etc. are provided for your use.
