This was the perfect rental for my family's recent week together in the beautiful community of San Miguel. We (six adults) were visiting San Miguel for the first time and could not have had a better experience with the friendly owner and his staff. The owner was always available to provide advice, recommendations, help with trips in the area, and transfers to/from the airport. The food was out of this world delicious--take all the suggestions offered on the menu! The home is much bigger than we expected. The patio and terraces were lovely and private. We hope to return!

Staying at Jack's house will be a different experience for each person. The warmth of his character stays with you even after you have left the beautifully appointed house, the 2 house pets (which remain outside the main house at all times) and the gentle, ever accommodating housekeepers. From the welcoming award-winning margarita cocktail, through the carefully prepared (delicious) meals and the comfortable environment, one may not feel like ever leaving. My wife and I will not forget our wonderful December holidays away from home and the privilege of having met Jack. When the opportunity arises, we will go back to a newly found friend and the wonderful environment he created..

We've stayed many times in SMA and love it. This house is so large and comfortable, well located, and the owner and staff could not be more accommodating. We felt right at home! Thanks Jack, Benita, and Blanca for a lovely, relaxing and peaceful vacation. We look forward to returning next summer.

We spent 10 days with friends in February 2011. The home is spacious, very well maintained and the location is excellent. The set up of the bedroom wings is ideal for couples or families. Having a cook and a maid was a real treat and they looked after our every request. The owner provided us with escorted tours which were informative and enjoyable. The staff and the owner made the vacation totally relaxing and stress free. We would definitely recommend this property.

The location and home cannot be beat - a close, flat walk to everything important, as well as a welcome retreat to truly relax. The inclusion of a wonderful cook and maid, and your personal attention to our care, made this carefree holiday a real vacation. Your personally chauffeured / guided tours of the colonial towns around this area enhanced our appreciation of Mexican culture and history. Can't wait to return for our fourth annual visit. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at during the 2010 winter season. The house is spacious and well appointed -- one of the nicer haciendas in San Miguel. The cook and housekeeper were great. This is the only place to stay in San Miguel because: 1.Your hospitality! A 10 out of 10. You were there to take care of all our needs; especially when I lost my cell phone. When Nick got sick, and your explaining of some of the politics, culture, and traditions of San Miguel. 2. Dolores- who cooked delicious, big, authentic Mexican meals. We only ate in Restaurants twice. 3. Location- We could catch a cab or a bus right outside the gate, or easily walk wherever we wanted to go. We felt very safe in your home—a quiet, airy, light, large place. We were as comfortable as we would be in our own home. Where do I begin? Your home is amazing and so beautiful-thank you for opening it to us. We couldn’t have picked a better place for our family. The ping pong table made for many a wild game. My family hasn’t left me much to say, except perhaps that I really appreciated how you were the opposite of an absentee owner—there for the pickup in the rain at the bus station (and the 7:15AM drop-off!) there to relight the pilot light on the water heater, there to crank up the hot tub, to provide tips on where and when to get fresh rolls.
