Direct ocean front (not just ocean view, ocean side or 2 or 3 back like many listings) condominium at A Place at the Beach IV. Nothing is between this condominium and the Atlantic Ocean except a beautiful beach. This direct ocean front unit has additional windows in the family room for additional ocean views the other non ocean front units don't have and results in a much brighter unit. This two bedroom , 2 full bath condominium is in a premium Shore Drive location. Condominium is located on the top floor of the three story building but with only two flights of stairs since you enter on the first floor.
The beach has just been renourished providing an even larger beach area along with incredible shell hunting. There is no battling for beach space. The beach and ocean views are even better with this expanded beach area.
We are now booking for 2012 for this oceanfront condo. We update the condo every year. In addition, we added free password protected high speed wireless internet service along with new bar height deck chairs and table for the balcony. These bar height chairs offer incredible ocean and beach views. The kitchen was completely renovated and we just completed a major update of the rest of the condominium last year. The master queen bed and both twin beds were completely replaced with new beds, mattresses and box springs along with new comforters, pillows, blankets, etc. Both bathrooms were updated with new lighting, towel racks, towel rings, shower curtains, toilet seats, and medicine cabinets. New plumbing was installed for both bathrooms along with a completely new master shower. We also purchased a brand new dinette set for the kitchen along with new lighting for the master bedroom, hall and kitchen.
New door locks were installed along with a convenient lockbox. New barstools for the renovated kitchen bar were also purchased. All new blinds were installed in all windows. New end tables and a coffee table were added replacing outdated furniture. New art work was purchased and placed throughout. New deck furniture was also purchased. New coffeemaker, toaster, and kitchen utensils were also added. New pictures of all this work are up on this site now. This condo is in supreme condition in a superb location with excellent rates. This is a non-smoking unit and no pets are allowed.
My family and I have been vacationing in this area for many years, and it simply cannot be beaten for location and activities. This condominium offers a queen bed in the master, two twin beds in the second bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa to sleep a maximum of 6 people. No linens are included but can refer you to a rental agency if desired.
Check my pictures for the ocean views from the balcony, master bedroom and living room windows; you are high enough for great views yet only 3 stories high and no footsteps above you. Lifeguard service is provided by the County in the Summer which is an added plus for families and swimmers in general. They also rent chairs and umbrellas. The complex also has a nice swimming pool with deep end and sunbathing area, and the pool is heated in the Spring and Fall.
Additional nearby attractions include a new Ron Jon Surf Shop at Barefoot Landing, Bass Pro Shops, Dixie Stampede, Carolina Opry, restaurant row, Myrtle Waves Water Park, Downtown Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach among others.

This condo was wonderful! The kitchen is beautiful and you can't beat Ocean Front!!! The location is perfect...just minutes from Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot landing, and many other fun attractions. We hope to rent this condo again!! Thanks Richard and Monica for sharing your home with us!

What a FABULOUS condo. Shore Drive is the perfect location in the Grand Strand area. Quiet, dead-end street oceanfront. Walking distance to Apache Pier and Ocean Annie's - the BEST outdoor bar with live entertainment!! The condo has plenty of windows to enjoy the wonderful views!! The kids loved being able to spend a few hours in the crashing waves and then shower off the sand and play in the pool. The 2 bathrooms is SO nice when everyone wants to clean up after a long day in the sun. The views from the balcony can not be beat!! We would definitely recommend this condo!!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Stayed here on a family vacation. You cannot beat the location of this condo being right on the beach and the condo complex is very nice. The steps were a bit much for me but other than that this place is great. The pool is kind of small for the number of condos it services. The condo was very clean and well furnished. Close to Walmart and Kroger for things you need. Quick note: If you want to go to Walmart, go to the traffic light at King's Road and turn right this will take you right to Walmart. Taking this route will keep you from having to go to up to the highway and it's a nice little ride. The little roadside fruit and vegetable stand that was on the road in had the best peaches I have eaten all season. All in all, it was a good location but you do have to drive everywhere but it's not too terribly far from Broadway at the Beach, Barefoot Landing, Carolina Opry and the boardwalk. Would recommend to anyone.
Recommended for:Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

Spent time in this condo during the first week of April, 2006. The inside is bright, newly decorated with lovely furnishings and everything you need to relax and be comfortable. It's location is a big bonus.....near everything we wanted to do or see.
