This is a very nicely remodeled and decorated condo right on the beach!! It felt safe to be on the third floor, and the balcony overlooks the beach. I came to Oahu to snorkel and found it just feet from the unit. Other great snorkeling sites are nearby. The snorkeling equipment was included with the unit. The unit was very clean, and the property well-maintained.Jill was very responsive to my questions, and provided excellent directions. Haleiwa is low-key and quaint with nice restaurants. I would absolutely recommend renting this unit!

Time well spent on the North Shore

What a great place to kick back and enjoy the piece and quiet afforded by the North Shore. Right on the beach this unit is well kept and within a short drive or reasonable walk to the local restaurants.

Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

Haleiwa perfect hawaiian small town

On our week stay we decided to stay away small the hustle and bustle of the city in Honolulu. We chose Haleiwa based on this condo and the owner Jill's hospitality. The condo was beautiful and clean. Perfect view of the ocean. Steps from the beach. The location was central to the small town and all the shops and eateries Haleiwa has to offer. The plus sides for the condo - The bed was super comfy. Plenty of blankets and towels for two. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking at home. Complimentary beach gear. The minuses for the condo - No a/c (we didn't need it, but you can imagine those summer nights). The building light is right at your front door and bedroom. No way to hide from its illumination. Voices carry from the front building into the bedroom if you open the windows even after quiet time. The futon is firm, as they tend to be (tried to sleep in living room to get away from light). All in all, this was a great stay. The grounds were clean and well kept. The neighbors were nice. The beach was close. Jill the owner made the stay easy with they way the reservations were handled. I have window coverings on order that will take care of this. I'm glad you thought the bedroom mattress was comfy. The newly purchased futon is "interspring" so that it doesn't get too soft with use. This tends to make it more firm, which some guests prefer. Also, the temperature on the island does not change much between winter and summer (10 degrees at most). The condo's location directly on the beach allows the ocean breezes to keep the unit cool year-round. There are also overhead and floor fans throughout. I hope you are able to make it back soon. A Fairytale Visit

The condo was beautiful in the photos and the decription was very inviting. When we arrived it was even more than what we expected. The photos of the views were spectacular and in reality they could never capture their magnificence. The property was spotless and maintained daily. The owner was more thn helpful and responded to our inquiries quickly. We intend to return regularly and wouldn't stay anywhere else. The local restaurants were all wonderful, and the market was close. We went horseback riding on the beach and we would highly recommend that.

Great Ocean Front Condo in Haleiwa

My husband and I LOVED our stay at this charming little condo in Haleiwa. The place was plenty of space for the two of us (my husband loved having his own bathroom) although I think it could easily accommodate a small family--just make sure to call dibs on the front room where you can fall asleep to the sounds of the ocean right out your door. :) The decor and recent remodel is the perfect mix of modern, beach, comfort and taste. Most importantly, we found the location to be outstanding. Besides the lovely beach just out the door, which included lots of honu (sea turtles!) in the water when we were there, it's also in close proximity to some of the most amazing beaches on the island. And when we weren't at the beach(es), it was also nice to be close to all the little shops and restaurants in Haleiwa town. I personally thought the shopping was great for such a small town--all cute local places, some surf shops, some botiques, a couple very cool art galleries. As for the restaurants, I thought there was plenty of variety at very reasonable prices. I've passed the info on this little gem along to family and friends who have inquired about places to stay, and my husband and I are hoping this place is available the on our next visit to Hawaii. Two thumbs up, for sure!

My husband and I stayed a week in this condo after a week in Waikiki getting our daughter settled in to the University. Such a nice, peaceful, relaxing change from Waikiki! The condo itself was very clean, well stocked and nicely decorated...very pleasantly surprised! Do note that there is no AC which on one hand was nice not having the hum of the units, but since you have to keep the windows open, noise can be an issue. The bedroom windows face the entryways and other buildings balconies so you here people coming and going and the chatter of people enjoying their balconies...also bird and rooster noise in the mornings. Because of this we slept in the living room on the futon and had the waves lull us to sleep which was actually quite nice! Loved the location and the little town of Haleiwa. We had a car, but enjoyed just walking into town. Haleiwa Joe's was our favorite restaurant. We love to snorkel and this location was the best! We had already taken an expensive snorkel/catamaran trip and it didn't compare at all to what we saw here. In fact we also had plans to go to Shark's Cove and decided against it since we had the best here. There were turtles everyday in the water and on the beach. We will definitely recommend this condo to any family and friends making a trip to visit our daughter and we hope to return ourselves! Thanks Jill for the great experience!

Me and my husband stayed in Jill's "Slice of Paradise" on our weeklong vacation in Haleiwa. Jill is so great to work with and the condo has everything you need for a relaxing vacation. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed having coffee every morning relaxing on the balcony. We went to Foodland to stock up on food and also enjoyed eating the Shrimp Scampi at Giovanni's Shrimp Truck and the Shave Ice at Matsumoto (a short walk). The condo was equipped with snorkeling gear so we snorkeled at the beach right in front of Foodland, which has great snorkeling, weather permitting. I can't recommend this condo enough, falling asleep listening to the waves every night was priceless! Thank you Jill!!

My wife and I stayed in this condo the first week of March. Wonderfully decorated and newly remodeled. And having coffee on the lanai overlooking the ocean was a treat every morning. We didn't have the best weather but had an enjoyable stay in large part because of this very comfortable condo. Highly recommended for anyone wishing to stay on the North Shore.

Brilliant stay at Haleiwa

Loved everything about this condo, location right on the beach was superb. Spent each evening sitting on the lanai, then dining out in one of the many local restaurants. Surf was pumping and got to see huge Pipeline Masters, swam/snorkelled out the front of the condo where there were turtles everywhere. Haleiwa is a beautiful town away from the hustle and bustle of Waikkiki, we are planning to come back here and could not recommend a more delightful place to stay.

Perfect vacation

My husband and I are mid-50's, professors, very active but not athletic, curious but not particularly adventurous or in need of constant entertainment, and always looking for places as close to crashing waves as possible-- we love to walk on the beach, read while listening to the surf, explore, and be within easy access of nearby coffee shops and restaurants. Jill's surf condo provided all this and more- a lovely, peaceful interior cooled by sea breezes and underscored by the sound of the ocean. Easily visited all nearby North Shore sights, especially enjoying the wilder beaches and watching surfers. From Turtle Bay to the Waimea Valley to Haleiwa town, we enjoyed 7 days of relaxation and fun. For those who want more- snorkeling, boating, parasailing, surf lessons- these are right there, too- either on-site (you can swim next to turtles right outside the condo) or down the road a little bit. We spent our last 3 days in Hawaii in Waikiki, a huge contrast to the North Shore, and for first-timers, especially those who don't love crowds, I highly recommend doing things that way- unwind at the condo for several days, then spend a little bit of time in the circus of Waikiki, just to say you did.

We had a great time at Jill's place in Haleiwa. Relaxing, Snorkeling , Grilling by the ocean while watching the Sunset!! Convenient to lots of great beaches or swim and snorkel right in front!!! Thank you so much! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and everything was just as pictured. The closeness to the beach, was ideal and many of the friendly neighbors we met said it was one of the best kept secrets on the North Shore. We saw sea turtles each day popping their heads up to say hello - and the beach gear including snorkel equipment allowed us to swim just out the reef and get a closer look. Thanks again so much for a great stay and we look forward to coming again!

Jill’s condo was great a vacation rental; it was so quiet, pretty, comfortable, and cozy. We didn't want to leave. Centrally located on the N. Shore and just a short walk to the historic town of Haleiwa. Don’t forget to try the Pad Thai at Opal’s.

Good beginning...

Location was great! The kitchen remodel was lovely and clean. The only negative thing I must say is the bathrooms are sorely in need of an upgrade. Rusty and badly stained showers and sinks were a bit of a letdown after the lovely kitchen. The shower caddy actually fell off when I put my shampoo on it! The mattress on the bed could also use some attention. My husband has back issues and was not comfortable. We enjoyed our stay nonetheless and really loved the view from the lanai! Had a great meal at Breakers. Walked down to the marina to enjoy watching surfers every morning. Really great beach right in front and beautiful drives to the far western tip and Waimea Bay.

Incredible Place to Stay

I don't think you will find a better place to stay on the North Shore, or all of Hawaii for that matter. The condo is in the front building right on the beach. We could see dolphins and turtles from the lanai. The decor is tropical and the bamboo floors make it feel very warm and comfortable. The complex is charming and the beach is very private. The condo itself was also very quiet except for the sound of the waves (which we enjoyed!). It is obvious that the owner cares about the condo. Everything felt new and clean. I highly recommend this property for anyone wanting a relaxing, "easy" vacation in Hawaii.

What a gem

We stayed in this condo for our honeymoon in late August to early September. I can't really find any words to do it justice. We hired a car and saw plenty of the rest of the island, and we couldn't believe how lucky we had been in finding a place like this. Situated in a lovely town it was so beautiful. A stark contrast to the high-rise buildings and crowded beaches in Waikiki. It was an absolute paradise. We loved sitting on the lanai while the sun was setting each evening or being in the water just outside. It was so lovely to stay in a 'home from home' rather than being in a hotel sitting in 1 room. I have such fond memories of our time in Hawaii. The weather was a lot warmer than we are used to, but we could easily cool down in the sea. This condo is situated in such a great location. We loved going to Scoops of Paradise in the town and sampling their ice cream and mochi. Throughout the honeymoon we both kept saying how lucky we had been in finding this place. I found Jill to be very helpful and prompt in her correspondence - she was a delight to deal with. We don't know anyone who is planning a trip over to Hawaii anytime soon, but if we hear that anyone is we will definitely rrecommend this condo.

Charming North Shore Condo

My wife and I have done the Waikiki thing on previous visits to Oahu. We were ready to experience the more relaxing side of this beautiful island. Your condo provided the perfect, relaxing get-away. Steps from the beach, we could hear the calm summer waves lapping on the shore in the morning and evening. The sunsets were breathtaking. The long sandy beach made for great walks and the shallow water for great snorkeling. The condo was in a great location. It's off the highway that runs through town and provides a secluded almost private beach experience. The condo was beautifully decorated and had all the amenities we expected. The lanai made for a great breakfast location when we chose to eat in. Haliewa offered a nice array of dining experiences and numerous charming shops. And, of course, shave ice of Matsumoto's is an absolute must on your visit. You are just minutes away from some of the world's most famous surf beaches and from some nearly pristine north shore beaches with few people using them just to the west of Haliewa. Don't miss the beautiful Waimea Valley park a few miles up the road. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would definitely rent this condo again on future visits to Oahu.

What a great site to see as you walk in the door. The condo sits right on the ocean. We spent a lot of time on the lanai. Going down every evening for the sunset was great and we talked with other guests and found out what they had done and told of our adventures every day. We walked to town almost every day or took the one minute drive!! Great shops and great cheap food. It felt very local and relaxed although we were in Hawaii for 2 weeks and could have stayed a month!! I will find a way to come back here again asap!! If you are looking for the shopping mall-with-the-beach-as-an-afterthought vacation experience then, by all means, stay in Waikiki. If you are looking for peace, quiet, gorgeous ocean views (and sounds and scents) stay in this condo on the beautiful North Shore. I recently spent 2 weeks in this condo and really, really didn't want to leave. It was spotlessly clean when I arrived and was so comfortable and convenient I couldn't imagine staying anywhere else. The gorgeous pictures don't do the condo and the beach views justice. Also, the North Shore is a great place to stay. Not too far from Honolulu but quiet and fun, too. I loved watching the surfers on the big waves just up the coast, I loved snorkeling on the beach in front of the condo and seeing sea turtles, fish, etc. I also think I sampled every single shrimp truck on the North Shore. Oy. The owner, Jill, was always a pleasure to deal with. Don't hesitate to spend any or all of your vacation here, it was a wonderful experience.

What a great place! This is probably the best deal on the North Shore with the killer location next to the park, boat harbor, turtles, snorkling,surfing, surfing shops and golf courses. 3rd floor highth and trees makes it private too.

We just can say enough about this place! The waves lapping outside, the great ocean breezes...so romantic. In fact my husband proposed on our first visit! We have been making an annual trip ever since, the unit is so nicely decorated and great location on the North Shore. We really enjoy being able to sit on the lanai, watch the waves and run down to the beach anytime we want. I highly recommend this Condo. We truly enjoyed our stay. We spent our mornings having coffee on the beach, our afternoons swimming and watching the turtles (which their was plenty to watch) from the beach. To end our day we had Sunset Cocktails at the picnic tables which was great. If you have a chance to stay at Haleiwa Surf this is a great Condo to do so.

Positive 10/02/2009 I highly recommend this Condo. We truly enjoyed our stay. We spent our mornings having coffee on the beach, our afternoons swimming and watching the turtles (which their was plenty to watch) from the beach. Our family has stayed in Haleiwa every summer for years and we are so happy to have found this condo. It is the only place we want to stay from now on. We stayed here 2-6-09 to 2-13-09 What a great site to see as you walk in the door. The condo sits right on the ocean. We spent a lot of time on the lanai. We have stayed at the condo a few times and love every visit! Being in the front building and top floor adds to the privacy and "away from it all" feeling. The condo is clean and decorately beautifully. It is so nice to have the beach right in front. We loved snorkeling in the reef-protected water and even saw some whales out in the distance. We cannot say enough about this wonderful spot in paradise!

I have stayed at this condo twice and plan to return again! It is wonderful. I especially enjoy the oceanfront location, being able to walk to town, the cleanliness & decor, and access to shopping and the Sunset Beach School Farmer's Market. I highly recommend it!

Perfect escape on the North Shore

While the weather was less than perfect during our stay on Oahu, we loved Jill's condo. The decor is beautiful and the unit is extremely well maintained and clean. The kitchen is very well stocked. The property manager lives on site and is knowledgeable, friendly and does a fantastic job of making sure that things are in order. We highly recommend sleeping on the futon in the living room at night, with the lanai doors open, so you can fall asleep and wake up to the hypnotic and romantic sounds of the surf! If you enjoy the North Shore, the location of the condo can't be beat. You're a short walk away from Haleiwa town and all of the great restaurants and shops there. Jill is very friendly and extremely easy to work with. This was our first experience renting a privately owned condo and based on my interactions with her, I would absolutely do it again. We highly recommend renting this property, as we will certainly look into renting it again whenever we return to Hawaii. Many mahalos!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful home with our family. We had a great stay! The beach was perfect for my 5 year old son. We had a great time snorkeling & watching dolphins out front. We really enjoyed every day of our stay. The neighbors were very kind and friendly. The North Shore offers so much variety in shopping, restaurants & activities that we recommend it to all!

I highly recommend the condo. We loved the view! We saw so many fish and turtles in the beach out front. The North Shore is so beautiful!

Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
