While searching for a house, we weren't sure if we could trust the property or property managers/owners but this house had a lot of great reviews. We were communicating with Laurie and she was very good at responding to all our questions. You can also use credit card which is a safe option for vacation rentals. The house was very clean, cozy and high quality! linens, towels and kitchen equipments were all good quality. We had 8 adults and 4 kids (4 families) and it was perfect. Upstairs is really really really nice! like a hotel suite. Overall our experience was great, we had an excellent weekend!

What can I say. The home was amazing. This was my families first visit to San Diego and we usually stay in 5 star hotels. Not this time. The cost if staying in this home was minimal compared to comparable rooms in even a three star hotel. The home was clean spacious and well furnished. My children walked through the front door and fell in love. The four adults in our group were equally pleased. The views from the yard ate wonderful. The location ideal fir easy access to everything. The home was ideal for having guests visit us so we didn't have to go out to entertain. This home is perfect for families and groups of adults.

Thank you Laurie for letting us stay at your beautiful home. We had 2 families consisting of 4 adults and 5 children under the age of 4 and it was just perfect for us. We all had such a wonderful time! The property is immaculate, and the area is perfect and close to all of the amenities and tourist attractions. We could not have asked for anything better!! Laurie and Van,The house was FABULOUS! Thank you so much for allowing us to enjoy your lovely vacation home. It was just the perfect fit for our family--my teenage daughter even grabbed her own private "room" by sleeping on the roll-away in the master closet which gave her some privacy from the younger cousins! Thank you too for allowing our special 50th anniversary BBQ--the kitchen and yard were ideal for cooking and serving everything we wanted. We had a very special family time together and the entire family kept commenting on how perfect the setting was!Thanks again for helping me to give my parents and family a celebration to remember!

Beautiful house in a great neighborhood. Vacationed in San Diego with a group of 8 friends (me and my fiance got the whole top floor). From the house you can literally get to just about anywhere in San Diego in 9 to 17 minutes! Thank you so much Laurie! Will definately rent from you again on next group visit.

We simply went down to SD, for the weekend, and tough it would be a great idea to rent a house instead of the traditional hotel, and we were right, now this house can fill 10 to 12 people just fine, and we were only 2, so we had the entire house to ourselves, and it was really nice.Having wifi also, was a great feature, because i often work, even on vacation, so this gave me access to get some work done.Great location, minutes from downtown, great views, great house.

What a great house. Our group travels about every weekend and we prefer to stay in rental homes over the traditional hotel. We do our research but you never know how the home is going to be until you pull in the driveway. This house far exceeded our expectations and there was plenty of room for our party of seven. Dear Laurie and Van, My mother wanted to enjoy a vacation with her whole family. We ranged in ages from 17 months to 78 years old. We rented your lovely home the first week in January and all had a fabulous time. The house is lovely and easily accommodated ten people. The kitchen was fully equipped. The master suite was amazing. We played games and BBQed on the patio, enjoyed the evening sunsets from the upper balcony, and had great conversations on your big wrap around sofa. We purchased Go San Diego cards and did all of the well known tourist activities and plenty of lesser known ones. The weather was beautiful. We would highly recommend this rental property. This is the way to travel with a group. I can't even imagine what we would have spent on food if we had stayed in a hotel. Thanks so much for letting us stay in your beautiful home.

A summer wedding in San Diego. Need I say more. With 4 couples and 1 single we had plenty of room and could not have dreamed up better accomodations or location. We toured around between functions and were close to everything. The house was a great base camp for all of us and was perfect for a group of our size. A hotel could not even begin to compare. Dinner on the terrace, early morning coffee on the swings. It was great. I wish we could do it once a year. Laurie and Van thanks again and hopefully we will see you again.

We were a group of 8 women from high school, who are now senior citizens. We take a trip together once a year. Your home was the most comfortable place we have ever stayed. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen fully equipped, the yard was a wonderful gathering place with a nice view. We couldn't have asked for more. Thank you.

We are a family of 7 and always have difficulty finding hotels to accommodate us. So recently we have been renting vacation homes through VRBO whenever we travel, this is our 3rd stay at a VRBO listing in 2 years. We have been happy with all of them, but this home in San Diego was the best by far. My husband and I, our 5 children and my father in law stayed for a week in October. The photos do not do justice to the beautifully decorated and furnished home: welcoming entrance, elegant tile flooring in the living room and downstairs bathrooms, luxurious bedding, ceiling fans in every room, spacious kitchen countertops, and a backyard set up perfectly for entertaining. The kitchen and backyard were so functional and enjoyable, we cancelled dinner reservations twice and had our dinner guests over to the house instead - it was a big hit with everyone. The upstairs is large enough on its own to accommodate a family. There is a bedroom with a king size bed, HUGE walk in closet, jacuzzi tub, and shower. The landing at the top of the stairs is so big there are 2 daybeds (with very comfortable futons and bedding), a sofa bed and chaise lounge in it with lots of floor space left over for playing. This is in addition to the second floor balcony with sunset watching seating just waiting for you. We lived in San Diego for 6 years many years ago and knew the location of this house would be perfect and it was. The house is literally 2 minutes from highway 5, and with SD traffic this is a big plus. We went to Sea World 4 days in a row just b/c it was so close and we had passes for the whole week. From the kitchen, from the backyard, and from the upstairs you can see the bay during the day and the lights at night, you will feel like you are on vacation to be sure. The house also has all those convenience items of a home which are always lacking in hotels, and frequently in rental homes: tape, scissors, matches, pliers, kitchen gadgets, DVDs, and our crew was especially delighted to discover Barbies, for the girls and Castles for the boys, nothing was left out. There are even "green" laundry supplies, and my favorite, Burt's Bees for the tub. I only wish we could've stayed a month! Michelle Sherer Ocean Springs, MS

Dear Laurie, Our family had a wonderful vacation. We had 9 adults and had plenty of room and privacy. Each of the 4 couples had their own private bedroom, and with 3 baths, everyone's needs were accommodated. The kitchen, dining room and living room were all spacious, clean and inviting. And we loved the backyard, complete with a swing, barbeque and a great view. Thanks for your hospitality.

Dear Laurie, Thank you for sharing youre beautiful home. My family and I had a wonderful time.Its spacious and clean with awesome views of the mission bay. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets very soft.We had 4 kids and normally when we rent a beach house on the beach we are very uneasy with all the walking traffic, and keeping an eye on the kids running to the ocean and its not relaxing for all the adults.We dint have this problem this time. The location is very convenient its 5 to 10 minutes from everything. We really relaxed and even cooked wonderful meals.

What a wonderful home away from home in San Diego! It was the perfect spot to celebrate our anniversary with our children and grandchildren. Your home is conveniently located....just 5 minutes from everything. It is tastefully decorated, roomy, clean, and in a quiet residential neighborhood. Our family spent a wonderful week exploring San Diego and had the most perfect weather, saw the most amazing sights, and truly enjoyed all the beauty and history that the area has to offer. Dear Laurie and Van, Four generations gathered in your lovely home for a family wedding. We all appreciated the spacious interior with lots of light and the nicely landscaped outdoor spaces. Laurie, what an amazing home in a terrific location. We found your home to be very well kept, with nice open spaces and in a great neighborhood. The balcony off of the upstairs bedroom gave us a great view over the water and the fireworks show coming from downtown. The close proximity to the freeway and access to all that San Diego has to offer allowed us to be just a short trip from anywhere we needed to be. Our group of 10 had an absolutely wonderful time and everyone commented on the fabulous accomodations. We had never rented a place before, but really wanted to avoid the hotels if possible. We will probably never stay at a hotel again -- this was much better! The house was clean and well kept with comfortable beds. We especially enjoyed the patio and view. We were a group of 5 adults, 2 toddlers, and 1 infant, and everyone had a wonderful time! The location was absolutely perfect - close enough to everything, yet quiet and away from the crowds. Loved the ceiling fans in every room... the large kitchen with so much counter space... the quiet washer & dryer... the spacious living room... the grill... the movie collection we wished we had more time to watch... the upstairs balcony where we enjoyed wine and Sea World fireworks! This is definitely a home we would like to return to!

Thanking you, Laurie and Van, for sharing your beautiful home with us. We four couples, in our late 60's and early 70's, vacationing from California, Arizona and Colorado, thought it was the perfect place for our vacation/reunion. We were especially impressed with the beautiful linens on all the beds, and with the well equiped kitchen. It was first class all the way. The location couldn't have been better, an easy drive to all the tourist attractions.

This was such a lovely vacation spot. We felt quite at home and were pleasantly surprised by the well stocked kitchen! The layout was great, even with kids. The location couldn't have been better. We were only minutes from all the attractions we were interested in so it worked perfectly! We loved the fireworks across the bay every night. Thanks so much!

Our stay in San Diego was made that much more enjoyable by being in such a well maintained and comfortable home. We had a large number of family members in San Diego for a wedding and your home was a perfect place for entertaining, with the spacious living/dining/kitchen areas. We appreciated the courtesy you showed us by sending us brochures of attractions, maps, directions,etc. prior to our arrival and the complimentary wine upon our arrival. Your location is ideal and we enjoyed the neighborhood on our daily morning walks. Thank You!!

The layout of the house really lends itself well for a family vacation. The house is very nicely furnished, immaculately maintained, and so conveniently located to all the main attractions of San Diego. It was nice to return to the the comforts of this home after each day of busy sight-seeing. Our kids said it was much better than staying at a hotel (we agree). Thank you!

Our family enjoyed our visit to San Diego more than ever having this beautiful house to come back to each day. We rented this house for part of a recent family vacation and loved it. From the welcome bottle of wine to the well-stocked video library, the Millers seem to anticipate any need. The upstairs master suite is a tranquil get-away.The house location is central for so many San D. attractions with easy freeway access. Upon our arrival home, we received our damage deposit in a timely manner. We would rent here again.

Dear Laurie and Van, Our group really love the place. It's spacious enough for everybody, even for parking spaces, yet very cozy to have our retreat meeting and discussion, particularly the open space of kitchen - living - dinner rooms in front of a wood burning fireplace. The view of Mission Bay is gorgeous from the master + retreat area upstair. Its walking closet + master bath are very beautiful. We will surely come back; even other members of our church had already asked for your info in planning for their next retreat at your place.
