Location: Girdwood, Alaska, USA (35-40 minutes South of Downtown Anchorage.)

Accommodations:  Condominium, 2 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 6-8)

Our two-story condominium is located at the base of Mt. Alyeska, just feet from the lifts (Chair 3) in the beautiful Girdwood Valley; a short 35-minute drive along the ocean shores of Turnagain Arm.

Located on the top two floors of Alyeska North Condominiums, our 1,200 square foot unit has magnificent views of the Girdwood Valley from both the living room and bedroom windows. Just yards away are several restaurants, shops, and a bar/lounge that features entertainment, as well as the main ski lifts and ski facilities. The condo is equipped with wireless internet and a large flat screen TV with 50 channels of cable.

The unit’s first floor features a large fully equipped kitchen with a dining area. Just off the open kitchen is a carpeted living room which is centered around a fireplace. There is a long comfy sectional couch in front of the fire and TV and to enjoy the view -floor-to-ceiling windows with a deck. The entry into the unit has an area to take off your wet or dirty clothing and hang skis.

The second floor of our unit is where our 2 bedrooms and bathroom are located. The Master bedroom has a Queen log bedroom set and TV. The second bedroom, which is even larger than the master, has one full bed, 1 twin bed, two twin trundle beds, and a twin sized futon/couch and TV. Both bedrooms have vaulted ceilings. Our newly remodeled bathroom features a whirlpool tub, slate floors and a granite topped double sink vanity.

The Condo building has a rec room with a pool table, ping pong table, foosball table, men and womens saunas, and a ski waxing table with irons.

If you are looking for a comfortable place to base your south central Alaska travels (or skiing!) from in one of the finest communities in Alaska, Girdwood Valley is it. With its alluring ambiance and rainforest beauty, Girdwood has an appealing charm that is missing from the Anchorage metropolitan area. Surrounded by 7 glaciers, towering spruce and hemlock trees and snow capped mountains, and hosting an eclectic population of interesting locals, Girdwood will delight you and capture your heart forever.

NOTE: Our building has no elevator access and is walk-up only. Only one flight of stairs is necessary to access our unit.

  • We completely enjoyed our stay in Alaska and our week in Girdwood. Your condo was very convenient, clean and neat. The view was amazing. The location allowed us to visit Anchorage, Whittier, Hope and Seward in addition to fishing in the may local rivers. This was a truely great vacation for us.

  • We really enjoyed staying in the condo. The accomodations were very comfortable and there was plenty of room for our party of four. The unit was very clean and well stocked with kitchen items, nice bath towels, etc. The jetted tub was great! The location allowed us to explore the peninsula and have a nice place to come back to at the end of the day. It was a little difficult for us to find since we arrived late and it was dark (we couldn't tell the color of the roof, for instance). At times the refrigerator made a quirky sound that we first thought was a small dog next door. We were going to do laundry onsite, but we didn't bring detergent and there wasn't any for sale in the laundry room. Maybe there was some in the condo but we didn't find it. We ended up doing our laundry in town - not a big deal. All in all, this was a great place to stay and we would recommend it to anyone that wants to stay in the area.
