The place is beautiful, it's decorated wonderfully and fully stocked. The layout was great and allowed plenty of space for the 8 of us. The location is great too, we were close to everything. And the driveway is great for sledding. We really enjoyed our weekend there, the only problem was it wasn't long enough, we look forward to staying there again next year.

Our family of 10 (6 adults and 4 children) enjoyed our recent stay - 12/26-12/30/10. Cabin was great and exactly as pictured. Cara was most helpful and provided lots of good information about the area and things to do locally. Loved that it was pet friendly and that our four legged family members got to come to the mountains too.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend getaway in Sept. We LOVED this house and all it has to offer! The actual house is beautiful and the kitchen is very well-stocked. The location also can't be beat. We loved the local coffee shop (Trader's Coffee Shop) and also had an incredible meal at Mountain State Brewing Company (pizza is to die for!). Cara, the owner, was wonderful to deal with and I wouldn't hesitate to rent this house again (and plan on it very soon!)

The home is very nicely maintained, beautifully decorated and inviting. The owners were excellent to work with. Very informative on the surrounding and activities in the area. All my questions were answered promptly. My family and I enjoyed it very much. We did alot of running around to get lots of activities in, but would like to return just to enjoy the home and spend more time there relaxing. I would recommend this property to friends and familly. Look forward to returning. Thanks again to the owners for there generosity.

We had a wonderful family vacation in the woods at Bear House. Everything was clean, photos were accurate, communication with the owner was great. I couldn't have asked for more. We have 3 adult children who joined us with their spouces and partners who could come for varying lengths of time. One night we had nine people in the house and there was plenty of room for everyone to spread out and have privacy when they needed it. Close to Swallow Falls State Park for some beautiful hiking by the creeks and Huntingon Mannor State Park for swimming in a nice quiet lake. Next time we go back to Deep Creek we will stay here.

We had a wonderful experience at this home! Vacationing with 3 young boys and a large dog is always a challenge but we didn't feel any strain at all on our visit - the boys didn't want to leave! The cabin is perfectly tucked into the woods and warmly decorated. The owners make sure that you are stocked with any items you would need (kiddie utensils, paper products, family games, movies, etc.) Swallow Falls is a beautiful spot nearby. Highly recommend a stay at this gem of a home.

My husband and I recently took a short spring break trip with our two girls to this quiet cabin in the woods. We loved it! Its very clean, and holds true to what you see here in the listing. Its a gorgeous place! Plenty of things for the kids to play with, and a great place to unwind for a few days. It was nice to get to spend some quality "fam" time away from everything else (Internet, cell phones, etc.) We had a great time. :) Thank you Cara for opening your home to us. I would highly recommend this rental!

We had a wonderful stay at the cabin. Every imaginable amenity was included. Nicely decorated and well planned. We particularly loved the deck on three sides of the house. Very relaxing. Our dogs were in heaven having us with them 24 hours a day. Swallow Falls was incredible.

We had a wonderful time at this cabin. The cabin is in excellent condition and it is extremely comfortable, especially with kids. The cowboy theme in the bunk room was a hit and it was really helpful that there were plastic plates and cups for the little ones. The cabin is situated in a very quiet and relaxing area. However, everything is close by, including Swallow Falls State Park, which was a perfect outing for the kids. We look forward to returning in the future.

Thank you so much for allowing Tony and I to stay in your beautiful house. We had so much fun at the Wisp, horseback riding, and all the sightseeing we did. You just can't beat coming in from the cold and sitting in front of the big fireplace. We also really appreciate all the information you provided us prior to our trip (i.e. restaurants, stores,and must-see places). This was my first time to Deep Creek and it was a great experience.
