Come and spend some quality time with the ones you love in the Mad River Valley at uncrowded Sugarbush. Our lovely home will provide a setting for grand memories for family & friends. 4+ bedroom home at the base of Mt. Ellen (Sugarbush North). Large house sleeps 16-18 or even 20 in beds with 3 full baths, 3 separate gathering areas; 2 with couch/chairs, In media room a 37: LCD HDTV, stereo, DVD/VCR and computer. Large video library. Open Vermont Castings wood stove provides a great fireside experience in the downstairs living area. Dining can accomodate 16+ at table or be shrunk down to seat 4-6. Main floor living area has a 37" LCD HDTV plus new enamel gas stove and both can be viewed from kitchen/living/dining area. Library has double pull out and can be used as the 5th bedroom. It has exclusive bathroom access as well
Lots of natural light in all rooms with a ping pong table in garage. Deck with BBQ grill off kitchen as well as a charcoal grill for purists. WIRELESS DSL computer connection; Direct Sattelite TV. Great for a couple of families or group. House is very private, surrounded by views of woods and area mountains. There is a full view of the North Ridge Chair peak from the 8 person hot tub next to our fire pit (wood provided)! Very private (only 4 houses on cul-de-sac). Listen to the river each night on the deck and front living kitchen area. Parking for 6-8 cars.
While house is large, it has an intimate feel to it and one can get away for some privacy within the 3 living levels.Play ping pong in the 2 car garage (or on driveway in nice weather!) We are on the longest cross-country ski trail in Vermont, the Catamount Trail; right out the back door, signs lead the way to either Mad River Barn for apres` ski ultimate ski bar! Or south to the Chase River and go as long as you can, walking or snowshoeing or skiing!
Two outdoor fireplaces with log benches, beautiful, level-landscaped yard for foliage viewing, weddings, parties, etc. All new bedding (2007) linens and professional cleaning service prior to arrival. Caretaker available/ trash removal, plowing is included - they come every 4"..
Walk 100 yards to local ski buses on German Flats Rd or drive 1 mile to North (Mt Ellen) 3 miles to Mad RIver Glen, or 4 miles to Sugarbish South (Lincoln Peak)
Each floor has it's own full bath, and Master bedroom has heated floors - radiant heat in entire lower level that sleeps up to 11 people in three rooms.
Laundry room with large commercial grade washer/ dryer.

This is the very best valley in in Vermont! Better snow ( 300"+) from lake effect, NO stop lights, franchises, or cheesy motels for 30+ miles in Mad RIver Valley - VERY quiet year round, yet close to Stowe, Woodstock, Killington and 45 mins to Burlington! Montreal is 1.5 hrs drive

This was a fanastic house to rent. Me and 11 other people were more than comfortable during our entire stay. Everything worked perfectly, and there was plent of space to have group activites and a family style dinner. The house was a 2 minute to the town of Waitsfield, and there were plenty of trails and water holes to visit. We happened to be renting this house during Hurricane Irene, and the owners were gracious enough to let us stay an extra night, free of charge. I'd highly recommend this house and these owners to anyone looking to rent.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.
