Welcome to Spyglass, a beautiful 48-unit oceanfront Spanish-style condominium, south of historic St. Augustine on Florida's Northeast coast. Each 3 story townhome looks over an eye-catching tropical landscaped courtyard which is centered around a large pool and private boardwalk to the beach. The property also features a newly refurbished tennis court and on-site property manager.
Spyglass Condominiums are located in peaceful Crescent Beach where you will find beautiful, pristine white sand. The area is quiet, with uncrowded beaches that stretch for several miles in either direction. You can stroll along the ocean's edge, or spend hours at the beach with plenty of room for the family to play. The intriguing city of St. Augustine (nation's oldest city) is a short 10 minute drive to the north. There you will find a range of activities from shopping on old St. George street to the gigantic outlet mall, touring the old Fort, climbing the lighthouse steps for a fantastic view of the coastline, marveling at alligators at the Alligator Farm, miniature golf, real golf, and of course, yummy dining options. Spyglass is a 50 minute drive from Daytona Beach and less than a 2 hour drive to the attractions of Orlando.
Spyglass Unit #36 has direct access to the spacious pool and beach. The private, furnished outdoor balcony off the living room is a pleasant space to dine or dive into a novel. All 1300 square feet are comfortable and spacious. In addition, there is a 2 car garage, complete with laundry facilities, which leads by spiral staircase to the living room, dining room, half bath, and kitchen on the second floor. The kitchen is fully equipped with microwave, ice maker, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher, cooking utensils, pots/pans, serving dishes, cutlery, plates and glasses. The living room features cable television, DVD/VCR player, radio, and telephone. A large Master bedroom with a King bed and a private bathroom, as well as a Guest bedroom with 2 full-size beds and full bath are featured on the 3rd floor.
Smoking is NOT allowed in the unit, or on the balcony. Pets are NOT allowed (owner and owner's children have allergies!) Check in between 2PM and 4PM. Check out by 10AM. Property manager will process rental agreement, check-in, check-out, and approved refund of security deposit.

Year Purchased: 2001
The charm of St. Augustine captivated me immediately upon my first visit there in 1972. The city has such a rich history and has been lovingly preserved, leaving the visitor to continually stumble upon new experiences. It is a fabulous place and we have vacationed annually there since our family was young. Now my children and their children enjoy visiting and doing the things we did as a family with their own families. The Tradition continues!
Why the Owner Chose Crescent Beach
We vacationed in St. Augustine with another dear family and as our families grew to 5 children each, it became increasingly difficulty to find rentals that would accomodate our large families. Finally in 2001, the decision was made to purchase our own little slice of real estate where we could come and enjoy as couples, or the entire family! My children have really enjoyed taking their own family to the beach and knowing that it is their own home while vacationing there has added a large degree of pleasure to the experience!
The Unique Benefits of this Townhome
Spyglass is located one of the most beautiful beaches in the St. Augustine area. The sand is pristine, soft white sugar sand and the outgoing tide leaves a large sloping beach to explore and enjoy. The area is very peaceful as some residents live there year round. The pool is easily accessible from our condo as well as the beach. Spyglass is a short 10 minute drive north to St. Augustine, as well as close to Daytona Beach to the south and about 90 minutes to Disney World. The location is perfect.

Last minute change in plans and Susan came through for us! The unit was better than expected, clean, comfortable, and relaxing! It was so nice to be able to pull our van into the garage when unloading our luggage and groceries. (especially on the rainy morning when we were packing to leave!) We went on Labor Day Weekend and the beach was fantastic! You get the beautiful soft sand with wide, flat surface, perfect for our evening strolls! The water was just the right temperature and the waves were the best! We were pleasantly surprised that the beach was not crowded at all! One word of caution; it is not a unit for handicap accessible. I really got my exercise climbing stairs; it is a three-story unit with the garage on the bottom. There is a private access door from the garage to the walkway to the beach; but there were steps to climb up and down on the walkover to the beach. The steps and stairs were not a problem for us! We joked that we were getting credit for a stairmaster on vacation! Thanks, Susan, for trusting your beautiful home to us! We really enjoyed ourselves!

This unit was great for our family of five. The two double beds in the bedroom made such a difference for us. The kitchen was well stocked with the appliances and cooking utensils that we needed. Susan was great to work with. She answered all of the questions I emailed to her and promptly returned a phone call that I made to her before our trip. Our children and 19, 14, and five. This location gave all of them something to do.

The condo was in a great spot. We were close enough to town- less than 10 minutes to get to the trolley stop, right on the beach, with a great view of the marshes also. If you've never been to St. Augustine, it is more than you can do in a week! Great stay!! Advice- be sure to take all necessities. The condo only had tp in the bathroooms and just enough dishwashing soap to run the dishwasher. We had to go after handsoap, salt, and more tp. Great value!
