I cannot say enough about this cabin. I will never stay anywhere else in Gatlinburg EVER AGAIN! This was our third trip there and by far the best - mostly due to this awesome cabin. I am very uneasy in hotels and other places that aren't my own home due to my own crazy and irrational quirks i.e. germaphobe, neat freak, etc. I can truly say that I was never uncomfortable during our stay. I felt right at home. The cabin is beautiful and tastefully decorated. The furniture is modern and CLEAN. It may sound silly but those things are very important to me when staying out of town. We travel alot and this is by far the best place we've ever stayed. We go to places such Vegas, Tampa, Disney on a fairly regular basis and none have such great accomodations! And the price is very reasonable as well, especially considering how great the place is. The bed was very comfy too! We got some snow on the Saturday we were there and it was absolutely amazing. I could go to this cabin and never have to even go into town and still have an excellent time. Hopefully we will be returning in the fall for another fantastic adventure!! Thank you so much...and sorry for such a late review - I thought I had already done it until I looked up the website to recommend to a friend and realized I never wrote it! Oh and I almost forgot - IT'S PET FRIENDLY! I love to take my two little chihuahuas when I travel whenever possible and I appreciate the fact that I could bring them with us!

My family and I just returned from spending the best vacation ever at this beautiful home in Gatlinburg. The owners have thought of everything that you would need for an awesome experience. The location is perfect, just a few miles away from downtown but just far enough away to feel like you are in the heart of the mountains. Sitting out on the deck in the morning and evening was wonderful. Sitting in the Rocking chairs and a swing, over looking the Great Smokey Mountains was magical. We had a wide age range of kids that all loved the cabin. The 9 year loved the game counsel and jacuzzi best. The 13 year old loved the pool table and x-box best. Large enough dining room table for all 8 of us sit around for all our meals and play board games at night. Loved being so close to the National Park and the many times we packed a picnic lunch and found wonderful places to eat our lunch and then everyone would get in the river. Can't recommend this place enough!

Owner response: Thank you for your review of Black Bear Falls cabin. We spent a lot of time selecting this specific cabin. This cabin was a hit for us due to its convenient location to both downtown Gatlinburg and the Pigeon Forge area. The direct mountain views of the Smoky Mountains were one of our favorite features of this cabin. You see the mountains from both decks, the hot tub, the rocking chairs, the swing, and all three bedrooms. You can see a mountain view from the minute you open your eyes in the morning. Now thats a real vacation! We look forward to your return to Black Bear Falls Cabin.
The Best Vacation
The Best Vacation
We stayed in this beautiful cabin this past June, and I have to say, it was one of the best parts of our vacation. The location is perfect--out of the way, but still close enough to everything that you're not spending hours driving. We loved the porches, and spent much of our time reading or just talking and relaxing out on the swing or wooden rockers. My son, brother, and hubby spent most of their time downstairs playing video games on the wide screen tv, or the game table, and the pool table also got plenty of use. Although we planned something to do everyday while in Gatlinburg, we couldn't wait to get back to the cabin and relax. The bedrooms were large and comfortable and the decorations really made the cabin something we will always remember. Thank you Laura! We are planning a return trip next summer and hope to stay in your charming cabin again.

Owner response: Thank you for your kind and generous Cabin Review. We have included many extra features in the cabin that may not be included in your standard cabin rental. We have hidden surprises outside the cabin in the trees for the kids to track down and enjoy. There are also several National Park items and books to entertain the guests at the cabin. We look forward to having you return to Black Bear Falls Cabin.

Our family stayed in the cabin during spring break March 2012. We all had a great time. The cabin was exactly as described as well as clean and comfortable. We had a perfect location with just minutes from downtown Gatlinburg, but i far enough away from hustle and bustle as well. Thank you Laura for sharing your cabin with us.

Great family vacation getaway!
Great family vacation getaway!
My family stayed in the Black Bear Falls Cabin for our spring break. It was me, my husband, our 2 kids ages 7 & 4, my brother and his son age 12, my mom & her fiance, and my in-laws! We had a blast! We all enjoyed the hot tub... especially the kids! We played tons of pool and the Xbox 360! We had ample space and cooked a lot in the cabin instead of eating out. There was enough sleeping space with using the 3 beds and the 2 sofa sleepers. It was just amazing! Gatlinburg has become our home away from home so to speak...we have spent the past 3 spring breaks there looking for a bit of snow! We are all from Florida! We always go to Ober to ice skate and ride the alpine slide... this year some of us snow tubed too... we hike up the Newfound Gap trails and play in the snow we find there. There is always eating at Applewood in Pigeon Forge... the best restaurant! We played mini golf quite a bit... and have won several free games. Our trip concluded with an intimate wedding in the Chapel in the Park for my mom and her fiance. Gatlinburg is just a lovely and relaxing place. We spend hours on the swing or rocking chairs just admiring the views. The Black Bear Falls Cabin was a fantastic escape... we look forward to a future visit. Oh, we always bring our dog on vacation and he was so much more relaxed in the Gatlinburg setting. The cabin was great for him too!

One Perfect Vacation!
One Perfect Vacation!
Our vacation to Black bears Falls was wonderful! The cabin has the most beautiful views of the Smokey's. Looking out the large window's and balcony's you could see the leaves still changing on the mountain and in the community. We can not say enough about the cabin itself! The beds were extremely comfortable, the game room a blast, and the hot tub was a great ending to your day! Black Bear Falls has a primer location, not too far from any of the attractions. It helped to create a perfect vacation for us and our family!

Perfect Home Away from Home
Perfect Home Away from Home
Our stay at Black Bear Falls was absolutely wonderful! We had some car trouble early in our vacation and if we had all been crammed into a hotel it would have been a nightmare. Instead it was an opportunity to stay at "home" and enjoy all the ammenities this fine cabin has to offer. We loved walking in the lovely community the steep hills and gorgeous views are both excercise and reward. The kids loved the pool and our little girl adored the giant bullfrogs and carp swimming in the multiple ponds. The cabin was clean, cool and beautifully decorated. They kids loved the pool table and there were enough tv's that we could all watch whatever we wanted. Everybody enjoyed the video arcade, but I sheepishly admit that I couldn't get enough of Ms. Pacman. Now we are completely spoiled and will never stay in a hotel again. Laura is the most attentive host. Not only did she call us to make sure we arrived safely and had everything we needed, but she also made valuable recommendations for shopping, car repair and fun things to do. If you have been looking at cabins in the Smoky's, you know that after a while they all start to look alike and you need to base your decision on some fairly small details. Trust me when I say that with Black Bear Falls your search is over, you will love your stay and this will be your home in Smoky's every time you come back.

All we can say is "WOW" !!!
All we can say is "WOW" !!!
We had a wonderful trip to your cabin, Laura, combining work and pleasure. The description of the cabin does not do it justice! It is beautifully appointed, and having 3 separate master bedroom suites gave everyone the privacy they needed after a fun filled day/evening. It's so conveniently located to either Pigeon Forge or the Park, and we ventured into both, enjoying the great shopping at Five Oaks and a breathtaking drive through the Smokey Mountain National Park. We were lucky with the weather too! We loved the SPECTACULAR VIEWS from both decks, and starwatched at night. We will definately be back!

My family and I rented this cabin over spring break. It was a great vacation. The cabin was roomy, clean and the game room was the icing on the cake. My husband and son competed all week on the multicade. Although we did go to Dollywood, Dixie Stampede, horsebackriding and several other activities in town, we loved just sitting in the hot tub looking at the view. For a family who generally goes to Orlando for spring break and needs a vacation after the vacation, it was probably the most relaxing sping break we have had in years.

Why the Owner Chose Black Bear Falls:
We love the Smoky Mountain National Park. The next requirement was the convenience of the cabin to the surrounding attractions; this cabin is a short 10 minute drive to downtown Gatlinburg and a scenic, 20 minute drive to Dollywood.
