  This vacation rental was located in a great location and the facilities were wonderful! The pool was perfect for our small children and the walk across the street to the beach was no problem at all. The condo was nice with an awesome view of the ocean. The only thing I would mention that could pose a problem for vacationers with small children, was the size of the rooms. We didn't find a good place to set up the pack-n-play for our baby... he ended up in the bathroom :) However, everything else was great and we enjoyed our vacation!! I would recommend this unit!

  There was plenty to do in the area for our family of four, including two teenagers. We enjoyed going to restaurants on the beach, golfing, fishing, shopping, and recreational activities such as go-carts and mini-golf together. The condo was as promised and the views were spectacular. We really enjoyed being so close to the beach, but also spent a lot of time at the main pool just relaxing. My family's only complaint was that we could not stay longer! We will definitely be back!!

  We haven't even left yet and I need to write my review!! The condo had everything you would think of needing. Chad and Kim answered all my questions with prompt e-mails or phone calls and were very friendly. The grounds at the condo-PERFECT! The pool-AWESOME!! Condo staff very friendly! The road to cross to the beach was just an access road with very little traffic. As for eating, you wouldn't think of Italian at the beach, but there is a place called La Famigla (take a left out of the condo and go down until you see dip n dots, it is right there on the left hand side of the road) food, service EXCELLENT!!! I highly recommend this condo for your vacation! Thanks Chad and Kim! We had an awesome time! Oh and bad weather for only one day the Friday before we left!! :)

  We had a great time in this condo! we have been coming to Destin for years, and have not stayed in Sterling Shores before this vacation. We will defnitely stay here again. we loved the proximity to the Back Porch and the beach, and the beach bar and beachside pool were awesome! at night there are fun activities for the kids at the pool, and the grill poolside meant we could gather, eat, and watch the kids swim! great family atmosphere!! The owners of this condo were extremely easy to work with and have a wonderful place!

  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sterling Shores last week! It is in great location - close to shopping centers, many restaurants (Back Porch and Candymaker shop in walking distance), the Track, and the beach. The condo was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Plus it has the most awesome view of the beach from the 9th floor!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

  We had an amazing time at this property last week! The unit is clean and well stocked, and the size was perfect for our small family of three. LOVED the grounds and lagoon pool! Although the beach is across a low-traffic street, it's very easy to access (even with a one year old in tow)...we had no problems hauling our gear back and forth. Sterling Shores' location is excellent - close to Walmart, behind The Back Porch, and beside a candy/ice cream shop. Thanks Chad and Kim for an awesome week - it truly exceeded our expectations!!

  This was second stay in this beautiful, comfy & clean condo! The only difference was this time we stayed 26 days! What a super beginning to retirement! Getting away from Illinois winter weather and looking at & hearing the Gulf of Mexico every morning after rising & every night before retiring to bed was a phenomal experience. The condo was very easy to "live in" for a longer than usual stay. Plenty of drawer/closet space. The kitchen was well equipped for the person who wants to cook & good food restaurants are plentiful for the ones who don't! The dolphin, pelican, boat & helicopter watching is a delight. Bring plenty of batteries if you are a photographer...sunsets, ocean waves,beaches,dolphin & pelicans will keep you clicking. The 9th floor views, ease of keyless entry,the super friendly Sterling Shore staff & fellow residents & neighboring condo dwellers made our stay very smooth & RELAXING! Needless to say, THANK YOU for having such lovely "home away from home" for us to settle into! WIFI & flat screen tv's were a plus, too as my husband conducted his business through his computer & cell phone. As Clint Eastwood says, "I'll be back!".

  This condo was great. On 9th floor of Sterling Shores Resort with great view of the Gulf. Large pool with bathroom/changing facilities and grills. Heated pool across the street had a snack bar which was quite reasonably priced (Beers-$2.50). The unit had a very comfortable queen bed, a single-over-double bunk bed, two baths with showers, and a large living room/kitchen. Deck had room for several people. Recommend flying into Ft. Walton Beach (VPS) and using Priceline for a car rental(scored a Mazda 3 for $165/week). We played miniture golf across the "busy" Scenic 98 Hwy and rented a wave runner(Jet Ski) for an hour or two from Dockside Watersports (tell them you've been before and they'll knock 10% off your rental). There are plenty of restaurants, we ate at the Back Porch(across the st, next to beach) and Pompano Joe's(about 3 miles east of the condo on old Hwy 98, by the beach). Both have good seafood and Happy Hours, try oysters on the half shell, yummmm!!!! Also there is pleanty of candy and confections at the Candy Store next to the complex.

  Our family absolutely loved this condo and Sterling Shores. The unit was very comfortable and clean. It had all the comforts and amenities of home!! We have a 5 year old son and Sterling Shores is very family oriented. He made lots of friends at the pool. We also enjoyed family fun night at the pool playing Mario Cart on the big screen. We love the fact that this condo is near The Track and our favorite restaurant, The Back Porch. We could ask for a nicer place to stay! We will be back again and again!

  With this being the second visit to the Sterling Shores, we knew the ins and outs of the property so our family of four got comfortable right away. I was enjoying a dozen oysters at the Back Porch restaurant (3 minute walk) an hour after we arrived! For the money you cannot beat the location and amenities of this property. The beach, the Back Porch and now a candy/coffee house all within a three minute walk. We went through the Sterling shores last year to book the room so this was the first time I have used VRBO. I can say with out a doubt that dealing with this owner was simply the best expierence I have ever had in booking a room. Through the whole process the owner was always there to answer questions promptly, offer advice and suggestions and just checking in to make sure everything is OK. The unit was everything advertised. No surprises. We are definitetly going stay here again. The view is absolutly fantastic! Thanks CC for sharing your second home with us and hope to speak with you next year!
