The apartment 'Flora' is situated in Piazza del Duomo in the heart of Florence’s historical centre, on the 4th floor without lift of a prestigious XVI century palace that once belonged to the Ghiberti family, one of Florence’s most important historical families.

Spending time in my apartment is to be accompanied by the shadow of the magnificent dome of Brunelleschi, the grandeur of Giotto’s belltower and the splendour of Vasari’s frescos, in an unforgettable dream that Florence will dream with you and bring you great joy and an even greater desire to return.
Flora directly faces the Duomo, giving you the sensation that you could reach out and touch its magnificent green and white marble facade.

The apartment has been completely restored in Florentine style, but with all modern comforts. Flora is a charming and elegant apartment comprising: a living/dining room with a comfortable sofa, a modern and fully-equipped kitchenette, 1 bedroom with a double bed (140x200), 1 bedroom with 2 single beds ( 85x200) that can be transformed into a double bed. 1 modern bathroom with shower, complete the description of the apartment. The apartment also boasts a splendid skylight with electronic controls that offers you a bird’s eye view of the famous Brunelleschi dome.

  • My husband and two adult children stayed in Luca's apartment in Florence for 5 nights in May, 2009. The apartment could not have been better located! Looking out of our window and seeing the Duomo across the street was incredible. The place was immaculate and had all the comforts of home. The stairs are formidable but "when in Rome.....". Just don't pack extra large suitcases! I would recommend this apartment to anyone.

I also wanted to tell you that we went down to the duomo right after you left and saw the whole thing, the dove streaming sparks as it flew through the space and then the magnificent fireworks display from the carriage.   • Thank you again, Luca, for your hospitality! I can't say enough good things about this apartment or it's owner!! Great location, beautiful furnishings, modern conveniences. Even the steps didn't bother me!!! (They justified the gelato....)I would suggest that light sleepers bring their earplugs, though- especially on the weekends. My Mom, sister, Aunt and I had a wonderful time in Florence. Thanks again!

  • Wow! What a beautiful apartment in a wonderful location. We fully enjoyed our stay in Flora...including the steps! It was perfect for our family of 4. Close to the train station for day trips and within walking distance to most things you want to see in the city. As previously reported, Luca is a delight!   • You will not find better accomodations in Florence than the Flora Flat-period. The location is outstanding, the furnishings are perfect, and Luca will go out of his way to accomodate you. My only regret is that my family did not spend enough time there. Next time we'll rent it for the whole summer!! Luca and his family has a standing invitation to my home whenever he is in the U.S. Thanks Luca, for the perfect holiday in Florence.

  • This apartment is beautiful! Literally puts you across the street from the beautiful Duomo, the view and location are wonderful. All accommodations were there, it felt like our own home.   • They don't come any better than this! We had a specific need: two separate bedrooms, each with a door. That's the set-up at Flora. Luca's details within the apartment are charming and practical. There are a dishwasher, a washing machine, a large drying rack, an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer, and two umbrellas. The multiple skylights are delightful. The Duomo is actually right out your window.
