This apartment is gorgeous. Very nicely remodeled in an ancient building. It made our 7 days in Florence perfect. Two couples can be very comfortable here. Luca is the perfect landlord and we all enjoyed visiting with him. The apartment is centrally located to all of the main attractions in Florence and you can see the Duomo out every window and sky light. The washing machine was perfect for four people staying 7 days. Luca has English speaking channels set on the television so we could catch a little news. The wifi worked very well. Staying around the Duomo is noisy at night on Halloween week. It was party central, however, I doubt that is the case year round. Also, if you are handicapped this will be a difficult apartment to get to as it is 88 steps to the front door. Well worth the climb though! The four of us highly recommend this apartment. We had an awesome time there!

Our stay in Florence was unforgettable because of the time we spent in the Flora apartment. The location is fantastic, and accessible to everything necessary for a memorable stay. From the well-appointed apartment you can almost touch the famous Duomo. There are cafes, shops, and supermarket directly nearby. Because of the prime location, in the city center, it is only blocks to all the popular city sites. Luca, thank you so much for seeing to every detail. We very much enjoyed staying in your apartment and I am sorry not to have seen you to thank you just before we left. Having waited a lifetime to visit Florence, it was thrilling to be there and to look out at the Duomo just across from your apartment. It was particularly magical at night when the Piazza empties and all you have is the amazing floodlit Duomo. Thank you for being so reliable and helpful - it made the visit very easy and organised. What a fantastic city Florence is! We also loved our day out in the countryside visiting Siena, St Gimignano and Monteruggiero. WOW WHAT CAN I SAY. PERFECT APARTMENT, PERFECT LOCATION, JUST ONE GREAT PLACE TO STAY. THE OWNER LUCA WE SO VERY HELPFUL. LOTS OF STAIRS BUT HE HELPED US WITH OUR LUGGAGE AND WE GOT GOOD EXERCISE THERE. EXTREMELY SAFE IN APARTMENT AND FLORENCE AS WELL...FLORENCE IS A GREAT CITY TO VISIT--- OUR FAVORITE SITE WAS THE PONCHO VECHIA BRIDGE, IT IS SPECTACULAR. I RECOMMEND TAKING A DAY TRIP TO AREZZO OR ANOTHER NEAR BY CITY. IT WAS VERY THERE ARE MANY CITES ONE CAN EASILY WALK TO BUS STATION AND GO FOR THE DAY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING HERE. IT IS BETTER THAN THE PICTURES SHOW AND BOTH BEDROOMS ARE LARGE ESPECIALLY BY EUROPEAN STANDARDS. BATHROOM AND APARTMENT ALL JUST REMODELED. LOVED OUR STAY. BEST PLACE WE STAYED AT WHILE VISITING ITALY FOR A MONTH. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING

We were 4 women traveling in Italy and stayed in Florence at the Flora apartment for 8 nights. The apartment was an adequate size for the 4 of us and VERY clean. The beds were very comfortable. The location was perfect - you will never get lost! Luca was a most wonderful host. He met us on time and showed us how everything worked in the apartment. He was very helpful with pointers as to where to go for groceries, shopping, dinner etc. He even reserved a taxi for us for our departure. He answered all of our e-mails very promptly. We felt very safe and comfortable in the apartment. Would definately recommend it to anyone traveling to Florence!

The Flora was a wonderfully unique and perfectly located place for our 1st trip to Florence. The apartment is modern, clean and very comfortable. Luca was welcoming and helpful upon our arrival. My husband and I and our 2 college kids stayed here for 3 nights in January. The building is incredible and we couldn't believe how close it was to everything we wanted to see.

This was truly a great place to stay as it is centrally located (literally feel like you can touch the Duomo from your bedroom window!), comfortable, very very clean, new appliances, beautiful decor, and alot of room. I stayed here with my daughter and sister while we were visiting my neice who is studying in Florence; and we made day trips to Venice and Sienna from the train station which is an easy 5 minute walk away. Taxi stand is also right around the Duomo. It is very close to Plaza Lorenzo shopping markets as well as the Accademia where David is housed. Equally as important was our host, Luca. From my first inquiry to our last goodbyes, he was accomodating, met us at the apt when we arrived and explained all the appliances, etc. He was also happy to give us local recommendations and was only a phonecall away if we needed anything. I would not hesitate to stay here again and look forward to returning to Bella Firenze with my husband in the future...we wouldn't stay anywhere else. Lucky you if you're able to book with Luca!

Fantastic Florence Apartment

My husband and I and our 14 year old son stayed here a couple of weeks ago and were absolutely delighted with this apartment. It looks just like the pictures, except that they don't do justice to the amazing view out the window in the bedroom facing the Duomo! The apartment was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. It had everything we needed--even umbrellas by the door in case of rain. Luca put a great deal of time and energy into making this flat comfortable and beautiful. He was wonderful to work with and so kind and helpful. We enjoyed getting to know him a little and would not hesitate to recommend him and either of his two Duomo flats. We hope to return to Florence, and this apartment would be our number one choice to stay! Thank you, Luca!

We absolutely loved the Flora Apartment! We stayed here for 3 nights in July 2010 and it was our favorite place amongst all of the places we stayed while in Italy. It was a beautiful apartment. Very well appointed as had everything you could possibly need. While not overly large, it felt very spacious because everything was so well laid out. Luca was great and made us feel very welcome. The only downside is the number of stairs you have to climb to get to it. But, the trip up was well worth the effort because it was such a great flat. So clean and well lit. We would definitely stay here again and have already recommended it to a number of friends. You walk out the front door and there is the Duomo. What a wonderful way to start your day!

Great Apt in Florence

We stayed here March 30 to April 10. The apt. is beautiful, clean and very comfortable. Luke Was a great host, very professional and honest. He has prepared a manual That was extremely helpful information for getting around Florence. The kitchen is stocked with all the cooking supplies you need Would Including oil, vinegar, spices, and coffee. The Location is excellent with all the major museums, shopping and resturants close by. The resturants we found Were Not Good, But we found a grocery store on Via del Conad Servants about 5 minutes from the apt. with all the wonderful fresh veggies, meat and supplies you need at very reasonable prices Would. I Would Suggest Bringing a good supply of Any OTC meds You Might Need. The only place to buy Them is at the 12 pharmacies and Motrin cost over 8 euros. We enjoyed our stay very much and Would Recommend It To Our friends and family.

Luca was a very gracious and accomodationg host. Flora is a beautifully appointed apartment right in the heart of Florence. We stayed here with our two adult children and found the apartment spacious and comfortable and close to all the major sites. We fell in love with Florence and would love to visit again. Rented this apartment from March 7 to March 10, 2010. It is in a great location. The owner is a very helpful person who gave us hints on places to visit and restaurants to eat. We did not mind the stairs (the apartment is in in the top floor) after a while. We recommend this apartment highly.

My husband and two adult children stayed in Luca's apartment in Florence for 5 nights in May, 2009. The apartment could not have been better located! Looking out of our window and seeing the Duomo across the street was incredible. The place was immaculate and had all the comforts of home. The stairs are formidable but "when in Rome.....". Just don't pack extra large suitcases! I would recommend this apartment to anyone.

My wife and I stayed in Flora with our 13 year old son for four nights in early April. The apartment is ideally located, beautifully finished and immaculately kept. I also wanted to tell you that we went down to the duomo right after you left and saw the whole thing, the dove streaming sparks as it flew through the space and then the magnificent fireworks display from the carriage. Thank you again, Luca, for your hospitality! I can't say enough good things about this apartment or it's owner!! Great location, beautiful furnishings, modern conveniences. Even the steps didn't bother me!!! (They justified the gelato....)I would suggest that light sleepers bring their earplugs, though- especially on the weekends. My Mom, sister, Aunt and I had a wonderful time in Florence. Thanks again!

Wow! What a beautiful apartment in a wonderful location. We fully enjoyed our stay in Flora...including the steps! It was perfect for our family of 4. Close to the train station for day trips and within walking distance to most things you want to see in the city. As previously reported, Luca is a delight! Can't wait to return to Tuscany and Flora!!

You will not find better accomodations in Florence than the Flora Flat-period. The location is outstanding, the furnishings are perfect, and Luca will go out of his way to accomodate you. My only regret is that my family did not spend enough time there. Next time we'll rent it for the whole summer!! Luca and his family has a standing invitation to my home whenever he is in the U.S. Thanks Luca, for the perfect holiday in Florence.

This apartment is beautiful! Literally puts you across the street from the beautiful Duomo, the view and location are wonderful. All accommodations were there, it felt like our own home. They don't come any better than this! We had a specific need: two separate bedrooms, each with a door. That's the set-up at Flora. Luca's details within the apartment are charming and practical. There are a dishwasher, a washing machine, a large drying rack, an iron and ironing board, a hairdryer, and two umbrellas. The multiple skylights are delightful. The Duomo is actually right out your window.

My husband and I just returned from our trip to Italy. "Flora" was just perfect for us. The location cannot be beat. It is absolutely charming and very clean.For those who are sensitive to noise we would suggest earplugs. We used them and slept like babies! We are looking forward to staying there in the future.

The place was everything shown in the photos and more - absolutely beautiful, clean and in a fantastic location. Stairs were not an issue for us, but could be for those with lots of heavy luggage. Be sure to bring ear plugs as anyone should do when travelling. Also, be sure to schedule the time of your arrival to ensure there is someone available with the keys. I highly recommend this rental and will definately stay there again on my next visit!

A group of three stayed here in May '06, and it was wonderful. Very clean, well-kept, modern, totally updated flat, and the location can't be beat -- perfect for 3-4 people or a family. The only thing to keep in mind is that it's on the top floor (80+ steps) and there is no elevator in the 500-year-old building (not fun with heavy luggage, but day-to-day it wasn't a problem for us). The owner, Luca, was great.

This charming and immaculately kept apartment is well worth the climb for the panoramic views and super accomodations. It has lovely furnishings and nice added touches such as beautiful Italian linens. The owner was extremely helpful and gracious. The location was super and I would go back in a heartbeat. A total Jewel!
