Beautiful house right on the beach. We stayed as three adults and two 4 year old kids; plenty of room for everybody. Kids loved the house and the beach and did not want to leave when it was time to go back home. The view on the second floor master bedroom is priceless. Beach is just metres away from the house and outdoor showers are awesome. The little town (Laie) is very quiet, yet full of amenities. A supermarket and fast food places is in just 3 minutes walking distance. Wonderful breakfast place in 10 minutes walking distance. Only half an hour drive to the sunset beach (where you can watch the huge waves and surfers) as well as the beautiful town of Haleiwa. The only problem is... You will certainly want to go again... We are already planning for our next visit for next year.

We just spent a few weeks at this home. It is unbeatable. The view is spectacular. The location is superb - right on the best beach for snorkeling as well as boogie boarding. The beach felt safe and family oriented. The home is charming in architecture and decor. The beds were extremely comfortable. The home was clean with beautiful linens. There are 2 outside hot water shower rooms along with the inside bathrooms which was great coming off the beach. We used the deck and BBQ a lot. The air conditioners in the bedrooms worked fantastic. We really can't say enough. We would stay there again and hope to many times in the future.

Recommended for:Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

We had the best time here, the house is wonderful, great size for the 6 of us, 2 outdoor showers, great lanai, wonderful views and the beach is feet away. You can swim and snorkel directly in front of the house and have lots of ability to stroll down the beach to Hukilau and even further. You can see kitesurfers cruising by and neighbors walking their dogs. The place has a very relaxed vibe and there is no hustle an bustle here, just relaxing. You are near a few small towns to get things you need, and you are a short but beautiful drive to the north shore. This is a perfect place if you want a great beach house away from it all, but it also served us well as a hub to relax at while we planned which north shore spot to check out. Also, the house is located perfectly along the coastline for swimming and exploring. All and all, I had no complaints about the place, it's pure paradise.

A Dream Location

We have rented many beach front properties in Hawaii over the last 15 years and this is by far the best! The deck/lanai really makes this place and is just what you would dream about for a stay in Hawaii. It is comfy and roomy with a view to die for and has sun and shade to make everyone happy. I spent hours out there in the sun reading a book in one of the very large lounge chairs while my husband relaxed in the shade. The beach has something to offer the entire family too; body surfing, snorkeling, swimming or just taking a nice long walk. The house is incredibly stocked and furnished. We felt at home and comfortable right away. We slept so well there in the high-end beds with the wonderful trade wind blowing over us. Turtle Bay resort is fifteen minutes away with un-crowed golf right on the ocean and a fun restaurant where you can have a delicious dinner sitting out on a sandy cove. Grocery shopping is very close as well as some other cute restaurants. What a wonderful, relaxing vacation we had in Laie. We can't wait to return.

What a wonderful location to spend a special vacation. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The home and furnishings were very comfortable, the deck awesome and the beach out front very peaceful. The snorkeling was terrific. It was amazing being able to find so many different fish and sea turtles. The home is located very near the north shore area which has many great beaches to visit . Thank you Beth for all your help and patience.

Peace, Quiet and Seclusion

I arranged to stay in this home with my 60+ year old siblings. We we delighted when we arrived and found everything as beautiful as on the website. The home has multiple sitting areas as well as a lovely veranda - plenty of space for everyone to gather or for privacy. The home is very secluded from the road, adjacent homes and the beach. The view is spectacular. The beach is beautiful and you can walk for miles and hardly see another human being. We would all definitely return to this home in the future.

Private Beachfront Paradise

The most relaxing vacation ever! Having never traveled to Hawaii before, we had no idea what to expect. Since we were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, we set the bar rather high. This house and location were ideal! It was an easy drive to North Shore or down to Honolulu and Waikiki. The beach in front of the house was mostly deserted making it perfect for our romantic getaway. We saw sea turtles every afternoon and watching the kite surfers was amazing. The eastern side of Oahu is much prettier than the west side. We are so happy we chose to watch the sunrise rather than the sunset. We've always lived in a home with air conditioning and were a bit uncertain about the lack of air conditioning in the main rooms of so many Hawaiian homes. There was absolutely no need for concern. The trade winds blow constantly and provide all the natural air conditioning we needed. Of course, in this house, they have air conditioning in the bedrooms assuring you of complete comfort during your stay. What you see in the pictures on the web-site is absolutely what you get - plus so MUCH more. You can't effectively describe the full impact of this home. The lulling sounds of the waves, the songs of the birds, or the feeling of ocean spray. You are staying right on one of the most beautiful beaches of Oahu. You see little, uninhabited islands right off shore. At the end of the beach larger waves break into a cliff face - it's absolutely stunning! Mary and Beth were great to work with. Our flight here was seriously delayed and they made sure the lights were on and the house was prepped for our unexpected late arrival. Our 10 days went by so fast and I'm sorry to leave. I highly recommend this home for anyone - couples or families!

We as two couple's stayed in the wonderful beach house Feb2-Feb14th. What you see is what you get! The house has everything you would possibly need. The deck is private, the beach is quiet.We enjoyed our morning walks on the long stretch of the soft sandy beach. The BBQ works great, we used it almost every night. We loved our stay, and will stay here when we return to Oahu. Mahalo

We had an amazing week staying in your very comfortable home! Our 22 month old daughter had the time of her life playing on the beach and chasing waves. We just finished our second annual visit to Hale Wolale and I am booking our week for next year also. We plan on making this a long term annual retreat for our family of 5. The house, setting and surroundings are wonderful and a perfect vacation location for us to get away from the stresses in our lives. The house is perfectly situated right on the beach where we can sit and read, play cards or eat on the deck and watch the sun rise and set or just enjoy the ocean. We take long walks along a fairly isolated but beautiful beach and play on the beach and in the water just beyond the back door. The house is well maintained with an incredible gated yard that is the perfect combination of private but accessible to the beach. The owners clearly put a lot of care and thought into everything about the house. It's fully furnished with all the household tools, dinnerware and cooking utensils necessary for a great time. Also, the house has the extras with games, TV (with cable), DVD, BBQ, beach toys, towels and much more. There's nothing we long for while at the house. Finally, we've found Laie and the surrounding beaches, food places and local culture completely comfortable and inviting. Our hope is to make this a regular vacation retreat and our home away from home.

This “cottage by the sea” is truly a dream vacation spot! Such a charming house design, so tastefully decorated, and thoughtfully equipped, Down to the last detail! This is a place where you can walk in and immediately feel right at home. Later, as we lay on the upstairs bed, looking out at the magnificent ocean view, hearing the soothing sounds of the waves and feeling the soft tradewind breezes, we were certain we were in heaven! Thank you for a wonderful week in March in your lovely house. The location of the house right next to the beach was perfect.
