Enjoy a marvelous vacation at this family-friendly, duplex beach house with partial oceanviews. White sandy beaches are just steps away on this quiet dead-end street!
First and second floor rent separately. Top unit has three beds and sleeps seven (one queen, four twins, and one trundle bed). Bottom floor has four bedrooms and sleeps eight (two queens and four twins).
All bathrooms were completely remodeled in 2005 with design features including real shells bordering wainscotting of ceramic tile. Major renovations including new siding and windows, central air-conditioning and heating were completed in 2006!

This review is for the 2nd Floor only. Our stay was the first week of August, 2011. This house was our 5th rental experience at LBI and by far it was the best one. Granted, it was the most expensive of the 5 - but the price was worth the benefits: #1) It's 3 houses from the beach. You can't quite see the ocean, but even some of the 1st beach houses can't either due to the recent dune restoration in Harvey Cedars. #2) It's spacious. Very comfortable living room, a full dining room, full kitchen, and access to a large outside deck with a beautiful self-igniting grill (although we didn't actually use it!) #3) The house is within a 2 minute walk to Sunset Park - a great place for a stroll, complete with a kid's playground, weekly concerts, and gorgeous sunset views of the bay. #4) There are plenty of Utensils, bowls, mugs, glasses, pots, pans, etc. in the kitchen for cooking and serving - and the living room is stocked with board games in case it rains. (My 4-year old liked playing with the poker chips, though!) #5) Harvey Cedars beaches are nowhere near as crowded as those in Ship Bottom, Surf City, Beach Haven - and road traffic is manageable, especially now that the township has added 2 additional traffic lights on the blvd. About a mile north is the very convenient Neptune Market for grocery needs. All in all - this is a great value, worth what you pay for. Some recommendations/notes for the owner: 1) Shower head could use a new gasket or threading since it leaks badly. 2) 1 or 2 planks are loose on the outside walkway. 3) The Towel Bar in Bathroom #1 is loose. 4) The louvered closet door to the AC unit is heavily caked with dust - might impact airflow (not sure if there's a filter to the AC unit, but if so it should be replaced every 3 months) 5) The sliding glass doors do not lock completely (although this is no security concern because the deck is only accessible from the inside) 6) The clothes dryer vent is caked with lint and sand. There is still enough airflow to dry clothes, but it should be cleaned out to prevent fire and extend dryer life. 7) There doesn't appear to be any replacement vacuum cleaner bags in stock (although, the bag was no full when we were there) 8) The north railing on the deck is loose, which could pose a safety concern. (not imminently dangerous though) Hope these recommendations help!
