Beautiful home built in 2005 overlooking the marsh and harbor. Nicely furnished. Free long distance and internet. Not your typical rental. It is located close to pool and fitness facility and the beach.There are harbor views from the back and ocean view from top deck. Super floorplan with a comfortable family area and an upper level that doubles as a fourth bedroom or second den area(private deck, full-bath, and large closet, as well a double bed and new pull-out sofa in this room).
Downstairs master has king bed,guest room with queen size bed both with comfortable pillow top mattresses and vanity/sink, 3rd bedroom with twin beds.3 full bathrooms total. Upstairs is a large 4th bedroom with full bed and a sleeper sofa that works as an upstairs den for kids too. It has its own private deck and tv area. There is plenty of storage room for personal items on the ground-level. Cable TV with DVD and VCR units in all bedrooms and family room. Family room cable comes with digital HBO channels. Stereos with CD players in family room, fourth bedroom and bonus room.

Why the Owner Chose Harbor Island
We looked in many different coastal areas and when we found Harbor Island we knew it was the perfect place for us. It is small, quiet and very relaxing. The beach is never crowded and we love the natural look of the island. Great opportunities to view nesting birds & other wildlife.
There's a pretty good selection of great paperback books for your conveneince, as well as lots of board games.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home is very comfortable. When furnishing it, we did so as if we were going to live there, not as a typical rental property. The beds have pillow-top mattresses and TV'S in all rooms. The sheets are high thread count and we do not use linen-service sheets. We changed the plan to add a vanity/sink in the 2nd bedroom, so large families would have more flexibility. It is truly a home away from home. We hope you'll feel that way too.
Owner's Map of Harbor Island
My family lives in Greenville SC and we love to go to Harbor Island to get away. It is quiet and relaxing....the beaches are wide and flat (easy for walking or biking) and the entire island is very well-kept and safe for children. It's a 15-minute drive from wonderful downtown Beaufort and there are lots of good resturants nearby. Charleston, Hilton Head or Savannah are within about an hour, so fun day-trips are easily scheduled. I hope you'll love it as much as our family does!

My family could not have been happier with the home. We found it very clean upon arrival and just as depicted in the listing. It's decorated beautifully and is very comfortable - felt right at home! The home has a great location within the community. It's very close to the street's pool and a brief walk to the community pool and beach. We were concerned about the distance to both and found the walks to be just a few minutes, not bad at all. As for the community itself, it's wonderful! With it beig gated, we felt very safe. Every night we saw security drive around as well. The community pool is large and well maintained. If you are looking for a great home and a place to get away from it all - this is it! It was wonderful being on the quiet little island. There's no tourist noise or crowds. But there's plenty to do and see in the charming little town of Beaufort. My family and I all agree that we'd come rent this home again!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.
