We really enjoyed our stay at your mountain home. We had a fantastic time. It is so close to Sugar Mountain ski resort. The views were amazing and we were so thrilled that there was plenty of firewood on hand for the wonderful wood burning fireplace. The first night there we had a lot of snow and the kids went tubing at Hawksnest with the dads while the moms stayed in with the fire, cooked dinner and enjoyed watching the snow from the large windows in the living area. The next morning most of us went skiing and when we returned home we had Hot chocolate by the fire (Prepared by our friend that stayed home to study). We were enjoying the house so much we decided not to go out and ordered Pizza instead. There were plenty of games to play and the kids spent hours working one of the crossword puzzles during the night. All in all it was an amazing weekend and we hope to get back as soon as we can!!!! Thanks again!!

We were pleasantly surprised as we drove up the driveway to this modern mountain home. It had everything we could have wanted, and more. The house has large rooms, and a glass front all the way across one wall of the living area, which provides a panoramic view of the Blue Ridge Mountains. At over 4000 feet, it's breathtaking! The home itself was plenty big enough to accommodate the three couples, and the deck is HUGE! We used the gas grill, and enjoyed breakfast outside (on the deck) both mornings. At night, we were back on the deck, gathered around the chiminea to all hours. So much fun!

The house was just as described in VRBO. The deck was outstanding and the view from the master bedroom was awesome. There were a few minor problems in the beginning but Anne was a pleasure to work with. We were close to everything but seemed as though we had no neighbors. Could not see any houses except way way far away. Just had a great time and hope to rent this house again next year. Would recommend this house to anyone. Thanks Anne for sharing your house.

This vacation home was awesome!! It had perfect amenities for our family. The view of the mountains was beautiful. It was centrally located to all the activities we participated in. The house was well equipped and clean. Very "kid friendly" with the bunk beds and games available. The owner was very pleasant and always available to answer questions! I would highly recommend this house to a friend!!

This home was perfect for three couples. We enjoyed the beautiful view, the wood burning fireplace.. It was great to be able to cook and for the men to watch basketball. I was able to work on my lap top thanks to the wifi, but most of all we each had a comfortable bed and clean bathroom to use after all our wonderful daily excusions. We would definitely love to stay there again..

This was the perfect location for our skiing trip. I have three children (ages 16, 14 and 12) that had never skiied before so we planned a trip to Sugar Mountain. We could have not found a more perfect rental mountain house. The convenience to the slopes made it so easy to travel back and forth. The weather was perfect and the beautiful sunsets were simply breath taking. Plenty of fire wood provided for blazing fires every night. The morning sun rises were amazing, especially in the upstairs bedroom. Very private and secluded from other houses. We found the property to be clean and very well taken care of. I would definitely recommend staying here to a friend and hope to come back when it is warm to do some warm activities and enjoy sitting outside on the large front deck! Just a wonderful place to stay.

We had a great trip. The cabin exceeded our expectations. Not only was it in a great location, but it was very comfortable. We had a group of 6 adults and it accommodated us well. It was located just minutes from Sugar Mountain ski resort. We couldn't have asked for a better location.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is comfortable and well-furnished. We loved the fireplace during our stay because we had about 14" of snow and VERY cold temperatures. Be prepared with chains or 4 wheel drive in the winter. The house remained warm and cozy. We loved the wall of windows looking out to the mountains-long range views- as the snow fell. The listing photos and description are very accurate- no surprises. Anne, the owner, was easy to work with. Highly recommend it for skiing at Sugar Mtn.

This was a wonderful rental experience for our family of adults. We always spend a long weekend/week in the NC mountains in the fall. This is one place we would love to return to. It was well maintained and met our expectations from what had been described. The owner was accessible for questions & did a wonderful job in responding. The location is great--near hiking trails, towns, shopping, etc. Makotos in Boone, Story Street Grill in Blowing Rock, and of course, Fresh at the Lodge in Banner Elk were great restaurants. We would certainly recommend it.
