This home is recognized as one of the premier historic homes in Park City's National Historic District. Built in 1901 by the local newspaper, The Park Record, publisher Sam Raddon, this 100 year-old home has been completely renovated to take advantage of its stunning original design. The home recently received the Park City Historical Society Preservation Award.

Design:
With the living area and kitchen relocated to the 2nd floor to take advantage of the views, the time you spend indoors may be just as good as time spent outdoors. After a long day of recreation, shopping and eating, guests will relax in a 6-person hot tub and then rest easy on cozy leather sofas by the fireplace. Choose from 4 bedrooms for your night's slumber. With 4 full bathrooms, there is never a shortage of privacy. The master bedroom includes a connected master bathroom with a double shower and large jetted tub.

Unique:
Historic homes tell a story of the past. There are many unique discoveries to find in this home, from the Victorian style doors, to the stained glass windows, and the 100 year-old restored hardwood floors; there is much to explore. Come see for yourself the reason why this home is truly unforgettable.

A Perfect Location:
Just steps away from Main Street shopping and restaurants, and minutes from the ski runs. There is something for everyone in Park City. The 3 ski areas are anywhere from a 5 minute walk to a 7 minute drive. Main Street is just 1 block away with chic boutiques, fun clubs, coffee shops, and 5-star restaurants. Park City has events, events, events! Check out the Visitor's Bureau website to find out what concert, film fest, art fest, snow competition or "no event" will be happening during your stay.

Premier Historic Home Close to Main St - Beautifully Renovated

Why the Owner Chose Private Homes

This property was our home for over 12 years. I met my wife, who worked for Park City, while doing a remodel on the house, and we started our family here. So our attachment to the house runs deep. It is beautiful and unique, and we hope that when you stay here you will also know that special feeling of staying in a home that is truly extraordinary.

The Unique Benefits at this House

After living in the home 8 years, and planning the remodel for two, we embarked on preparing the house for its second 100 years. First built with 5 beds and 1 bath, it had a way to go. We found a picture of the original owner with his family from 1903 in front of the home. The exterior had been altered quite a bit from that time, and we resolved to bring it back to its original glory. From the street, the home now looks exactly like it did at the turn of the 20th century when it was known as The Raddon Mansion at the peak of Park City's silver mining boom. Inside, however, was a different story. We completely rebuilt the kitchen and living room on the 2nd floor to take advantage of the natural light and mountain views, and created 4 bedrooms with 4 baths to fit with the homes 2nd century as a premier ski destination home.

Owner's Map of Private Homes

We came out to Park City to ski 20 years ago and never left. The way to town then was a bad 2 lane road and there was only 1 stop light. You had to arrive 5 minutes before a Sundance movie to get a ticket! But the greatness that is Park City now was readily apparent, and we have loved living here in the mountains. Though the town has grown and matured, the sense of community here is still amazing.

We rented this house February 5 - February 10, 2011. It's in a great location, very close to the action and yet also on a quiet street. Historic home with lots of charm, plenty of space, and everything worked well.

Your home worked great for 2 families with younger and older kids. We live in a historic neighborhood so we really appreciated all the character and the beauty of the home. The main floor is so neat with all the natural light from the tall, beautiful windows and the great balcony. The kitchen is also really nicely updated. The amazing location was key too, we would walk to dinner which was really nice or just walk around the shopping area. We hope to stay here again, thanks again for sharing your lovely home!

We recently stayed in this home while in Park City on vacation. The location was wonderful - right at the top of the Main Street area - one minute walk to shopping and restaurants. We chose to drive the two minutes to the base of Park City mountain to ski, however, the Town Lift was probably a five minute walk down the hill. This lift takes you up higher on the mountain than the base where ski school, lockers, etc. are located. The house was big, cozy, and comfortable with every amenity I can think of. We slept 5 adults and four children easily. There are lots of steep stairs so probably not ideal for toddlers but our elementary age children loved it! The third floor bedrooms were perfect for the kids - there was a TV/DVD player which kept them occupied after a full day of skiing. I would definitely recommend this house!

We loved the house; it is so close to everything. The way the bedrooms are spaced everyone seems to have "their own space". Jennifer was so helpful on everything. Our children are planning on renting house next year for their annual ski trip.

This charming home has been restored with modern conveniences like central heat/air, modern plumbing, new kitchen appliances and a wonderful large hot tub on the back porch inviting you for a soothing whirpool after a long day of skiing. The owners are extremely attentive and accomodating insuring a pleasant, comfortable stay. The location can't be beat- it's on a quiet residential street but it is literally a short one minute walk (one block away) from all of the restaurants and shops in the heart of Main street.Just a few more blocks and your're at the Main St. transportation center where you can take free buses to all the ski resorts in the area and almost anyplace else in Park City. We really enjoyed our stay and all exceeded our expectations- highly recommended.

This home is truly amazing. The restoration work is beautifully done, and each room is lovely. We enjoyed being able to have the whole family together and still have so much room. The owners thought of everything -- we'll definitely be staying here again!
