If you love vacationing in a beautiful large home that has all the comforts you need to relax and unwind, you have found your destination here at the Crooked Lake Retreat. You will reside in a home with beautiful wood floors, cheery walls, and a fabulous feel of openness and warmth. Your home is positioned on the most beautiful view site of Crooked Lake.
You can sit in the window-walled family room and watch the sunrise over the lake, or often watch swans swim by in the evening. In the winter you can look out over the snow-covered, iced lake and see cross-country skiers go shushing by. You can also sit on the deck and relax with a cool drink, or a snack, or a morning hot cup of coffee.
If cooking is your love, you have two complete ranges, three ovens, two microwaves, two double kitchen sinks...and two dishwashers to clean up the provided dishes and utensils. You will find yourself well-equipped with kitchen gadgets, a food processor, a blender, a mixer, and ovenware. You can serve your meal on a beautiful, new, mission style 20' table...or serve your loved ones on the deck.
Before and after dinner you may want to relax in the family room, and prepare your drinks in the wet bar. Here you have both the space needed, and a full-size refrigerator and icemaker. All that is needed is you, your beverages, and your imagination.
During the dark hours you may want to gather in the TV room and see the large, high density, digital, satellite TV...or watch a movie on DVD. Here too, you have another wet bar to have the convenience you want an arm's reach away. If you are in need of always being 'connected,' you have the convenience of wireless high-speed internet access.
The downstairs has two full baths to give you the cleanup convenience needed for the family to prepare for dinner. There is one king bedroom downstairs. Upstairs there are 4 bedrooms with either a queen or king bed. Another bedroom has a double/twin bunk. Another oversized room is your bunk room... a room our children-guests love....It has 5 twin bunks so there is bedding for 10. Your children will love the opportunity to watch their own shows, or play their games or DVDs on their own Satellite TV in this room. This room has its own large bathroom. For the other upstairs guests there are two more bathrooms upstairs.
Outside you may want to wade into the gently sloping sandy bottom water right in front of the house. You may want to barbecue your meal or a snack outside. You may want to enjoy the firepit in the evening hours. Whenever the children are not in the water, they may want to play on the lawn of our over-sized lot.
