Stay in one of the 4 Costa Rican homes featured on the television special 'Around the World in 80 Homes' on the Fine Living Channel. Our home is located in the heart of Manuel Antonio, not 'in the Manuel Antonio area.' Please see the map below for details.
Casa Mono Titi is a Spanish-style home with a Pacific Ocean view. The home is nestled in the jungle with visits from monkeys, sloth, lizards, iguanas, birds, butterflies and other exotic wildlife. However, you are near beaches, restaurants, shopping and other tour activities. Tour companies retrieve and deliver directly to and from our home.
You will have all of the comforts of your home. Amenities include a full modern kitchen with fullsize refrigerator, icemaker, dishwasher, oven, microwave, stovetop, coffee maker & grinder, blender juicer, toaster, dinnerware and utensils.
Our home offers a dining room with vaulted ceilings, a living area to relax with friends, 2 master bedrooms with private baths, 2 guest bedrooms with a shared bath, a den with cable TV and 8 ceiling fans throughout the home. We offer one king bed, two queen beds, one double bed and a day bed. Each bedroom has individual A/C units so you may control the temperature for sleeping.
Step outside of the home to enjoy your own private mosaic tiled pool surrounded by a beautiful large (1260 square feet) tiled terrace. You will be hidden away in our lushly landscaped property and enjoy total privacy as you listen to the Pacific Ocean and stargaze while you relax. Use the BBQ gas grill to prepare dinner or ask us to bring in a cook for an in-house dinner.
The temperatures are generally in the 80s during the day and 70s at night, but air conditioning is available in the bedrooms if you feel the need to use it. Local telephone service, a computer and broadband (high speed) are now available for our guests at no additional charge. We also provide WiFi capabilities from our computer to your laptop for emailing your friends from the pool or terrace.
Daily maid service is provided and a multi-lingual house manager is available to welcome you, assist you with tour planning or meet any of your needs. Laundry service is also available for a small fee to our maid.
Casa Mono Titi is located on a private side road but near restaurants, beautiful beaches, shopping and nightlife. When you schedule tours, they will pick you up at the house. If you rent a vehicle, parking is provided. Inexpensive taxis and buses are abundant on the main road, if you decide not to rent a vehicle.
Casa Mono Titi is also available for long-term rental (6 months or more) at a deeply discounted rate. Please inquire for additional information and availability.
Manuel Antonio is a 3 hour drive through mountains and oceanside from San Jose. Because of current bridge construction in Parrita (nearing completion as of Sept-09), we recommend flying SANSA. SANSA offers several flights daily from San Jose to Quepos, 20 minutes by air.
Casa Mono Titi is the perfect Costa Rican getaway. To complete your adventure, consider our All Inclusive Package. Book your tickets to San Jose and we take care of the rest, including domestic airfare, rental cars, tours, meals, spa treatments and anything else you may request. Make three easy payments via credit card to us and we take care of ALL of the details that normally would distract you from your vacation time. We will customize the package for your group. Ask for a quote for our All Inclusive Package.
For larger groups of 12-21, Casa Mono Titi may also be rented in combination with our other home Casa Mono Congo. See VRBO listing #170940 for additional details. We are the owners of these properties and we are not a 'here today, gone tomorrow' management company.

Our family stayed here for the 5th time this year and we are so grateful to be able to travel to this paradise each year. The staff at the house took such good care of us- like we were a part of their family. If you want to experience paradise is a beautiful home overlooking the jungle and the ocean- this is the place to go!! Pura Vida!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

Visited Casa Mono Titi with my 4 adult children for a last minute Christmas vacation and had a wonderful time. I always wanted to visit Costa Rica and my only regret was not staying longer. The owners were very helpful while making the reservations (especially with only a weeks notice!) as well as ensuring our transportation and tour choices were set. The house was neat and clean with plenty of room and the location was perfect for all our Manuel Antonio tours. (You want monkeys by the pool after sunset ... this is the place). We chose to rent an SUV but all the tour operators provide vans and our favorite place to eat was at the top of the hill with a grocery store just down the road so a car really wasn't needed. We used the tour providers listed in Trip Advisor and highly recommend Amigos del Rio for their rafting trip down the pristine Savegre River as well as the jungle zip line. When visiting the national park go early, hire a nature guide to see the wildlife (even sloths) and bring a picnic lunch to enjoy the beautiful beach at the end of the tour. Over the years we have visited many places and this was a favorite. I believe the owners also rent the adjoining home so this would be great for large groups. Bonus- no mosquitos- how do you go to the jungle with no bugsRecommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.
Owner response: David, Thanks for the great review. Please come and visit again. Terry & Pete

Casa Mono Titi offers a true Costa Rican experience. It is a very comfortable home with all the amenities. The views are outstanding, the pool is refreshing and clean, and the monkeys will make your stay. They come out to play every afternoon and will provide endless entertainment. The location of this property is great for Manuel Antonio. You can walk to dozens of restaurants, the market, and the bus stop. The kitchen is large and functional but you will need your own spices and other staples if you need to cook. Overall, a great house for your stay in Manuel Antonio.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

We loved the accommodations at Geminis del Pacifico. The home, the view, all it had to offer was wonderful. We will recommend to others that may decide to go to Costa Rica and do plan on returning. Our schedule is very hectic so it may not be for a year or two. We had a guide for the week so did not call on the House Manager very often other than to see how to dial home. He was very helpful. Thanks and we will contact you upon our return Manuel Antonio. ThanksDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/2

This place was so nice, enjoyed our stay. The highlight was my son’s wedding on the beach. The sunset was so pretty for this great couple. The monkeys were so entertaining. We loved to watch them and have a ton of monkey pictures. The people were so nice and friendly and Thomas was just great arranging everything for us. The weather was such a nice change from the snow we left. My week here with all our friends will be a week I will never forget.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We’ve had a fantastic week here at Geminis. We came here for our wedding at Playitis and a reception here at the house. Thomas was very helpful organizing and the cook made an incredible meal & wedding cake. Everything about our stay was perfect. The zipline tour was fantastic, the guys spent a full day on deep sea fishing charter and caught 2 Mahi Mahi (Dorado) and a 150 lb. sailfish. The horseback riding trip was an adventure – make sure to ask for a horse that fits your disposition. We spent 2 days at the beach & had beautiful sunsets both times. Be a bit cautious of the little blue Portuguese Man-of-war, they sting. The monkeys here were amazing – we saw all 3 kinds anda heard the howlers welcome us the 1st morning and send us off our last morning. Thank you all for making our wedding a very memorable experience.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

What a wonderful place to relax and enjoy Costa Rica & Manuel Antonio with our whole family! We enjoyed your beautiful house and your gracious staff who kept the house spotless and us feeling well cared for and safe. The “hill” for exercise balanced our good appetite and wonderful food, especially in Quepos at Muchandos and aboard the Calypso. The poolside patio and grill were a bonus we enjoyed thoroughly as we viewed the beautiful Pacific and playful monkeys. We couldn’t have picked a better place unless it was one with a zipline through to the beach. Thanks.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Hola Pete and Terry. Wow, what a jaw-dropping place you have here. From the moment we touched down in this jungle-rainforest-ocean paradise, it’s been non-stop fun, but at a wonderfully relaxing pace. Here’s our favorites: Canopy safari – easy and loads of laughs; MA national park – awesome beach and animals; ATV tour to beautiful waterfall, lunch and shopping at Soda de Mango on the beach with great BBQ chicken; Pizza Nappoli – wine, great Caesar salad and pizza by the pool; Delicious rice & beans & plantains just about everywhere.Okay, enough about food. Just hanging around the pool at the casa, we saw howlers, about 30 mono Titis, the white-faced monkeys and even a 3-toed sloth right on the railing next to the hammock! Coming from the streets of busy Chicago, it’s hard to believe this is real and not a beautiful movie set. A mesmerizing view, comfortable accommodations, a lovely staff and ideally situated… it all added up to a perfect family vacation for us. Thank you so, so much. Of course, we’ll be back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Year Purchased: 2000
About the owner: Map is best viewed using Hybrid option. Our home is 400 meters off the main road and roughly 1600 meters (1 mile) from the beach 'as the toucan flies'. Prior to living in Costa Rica, we lived in Chicago and owned a residential rental property business for 12 years. Suffering through many Chicago winters, it was an easy transition from the residential rental business up North to vacation rentals in Costa Rica. We built a home near Puriscal in the mountains of Costa Rica in 2006 and sold our final property in Chicago in 2007 completing our permanent move here. Although, we live in the mountains about 1 hour from San Jose, we visit our beach homes in Manuel Antonio when they are available to us. We are actively involved in the communities of Manuel Antonio and Puriscal. We sponsored the purchase and installation of a 10-computer lab for the local elementary school in Piedades. We are currently providing full university scholastic scholarships to 5 local neighborhood youth. We have sponsored several local football teams with uniforms. We are active members of several ecological conservation groups. We love Costa Rica and believe in giving back as much or more than we receive from living in our new adopted country.
Why the Owner Chose Manuel Antonio:
We first visited Costa Rica Christmas 1997. We immediately fell in love with the country, its people and of course, its climate. Having traveled around the world, seldom had we returned to the same location but that was to change. We visited Manuel Antonio each year for Christmas from 1998 to 2000. In 2000 we purchased our first home and in 2005 we built our 2nd home. We share our homes with others so they may experience the wildlife and magic of Costa Rica in a private setting with close family and friends.
We chose Manuel Antonio because it provides more flora & fauna diversity than any other location in Costa Rica. The climate in Manuel Antonio is near perfection no matter what time of year you visit. Even in the driest month of April, the flora is green and fresh, unlike to the northwest area of the country. Guests comment that they see more wildlife from our terraces than from any other location during their vacations. Our guests are our best advertisers.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Like many homes in Manuel Antonio, our homes sit on the hillside between Quepos and Manuel Antonio National Park, overlooking the jungle and Pacific Ocean. However, unlike most other homes, we are on the very edge of the unspoiled jungle (see map) and your view has no other homes, roads, electrical lines or other obstacles to distract you. The monkeys, sloth & birds come right to our terraces & trees. The photo opportunities and memories are incomparable.
We hope you select one or both of our homes for your stay and have the experience we have had that led us to move to Costa Rica.
