"Les Olivettes", a spacious Provençal farmhouse converted into luxury apartments, is located just 700 yards from the centre of Lourmarin, widely considered one of France's loveliest villages. These elegant accommodations offer a peaceful,rural base for touring Provence.
All apartments have spectacular village and mountain views, and yet are only a five minute walk from the many shops, restaurants,
galleries, and cafés that help make Lourmarin one of the most sought-after destinations in Provence.
For many years this house belonged to a wealthy Parisian surgeon who used it as his country retreat. Recently restored with the help of a professional interior designer, it has a welcoming, elegant atmosphere. There is an olive grove, a large heated swimming pool and ample gated parking.
Each private apartment has a queen-size bed (some canopied or four-poster) along with a mixture of antiques and contemporary furnishings. The pool, the olive grove, the Mediterranean herb and flower gardens and sculpted fountains all combine to create a harmonious and restful atmosphere.
A center for fine dining, Lourmarin has fifteen restaurants, including two of which are recommended in the Michelin Guide: Reine Sammut's "La Fenière", and "L'Antiquaire"
In Lourmarin there is a remarkable Renaissance château to visit, and great opportunities for hiking, biking, and other outdoor activites. The village is ideally located in the Luberon Natural Park, within easy reach of Aix, Avignon, Arles and the world-famous antiques centre of Isle-sur-la-Sorgue.
Other nearby favorite attractions include the hilltop villages of Gordes and Roussillon, and the working Cistercian Abbey of Sénanque with its famous lavender fields.

Why the Owner Chose Lourmarin
We were so lucky to be able to buy this house! Les Olivettes has two remarkable advantages - it is within easy walking distance of our favourite Provencal village, Lourmarin, and yet has spectacular views of the village itself (officially classified as one of the most beautiful villages in France), the Luberon hills and the chateau.

We've been living in the Luberon for.....sooo many years. Twenty to be exact. In fact, our daughter who is just about that age now was born here. So was our son, Pierre, who is now 6'3" and over 15 years old. Anyway, we love the life we have in Lourmarin. We eat very well, drink good wine almost every day and we've made lots of wonderful friends from all over the world running our rental business here.

Our first visit to the Luberon area was fortunately centred on the charming village of Lourmarin, and we were delighted that our accommodations in the beautiful grounds of the "Olivettes"turned out to be a most judicious choice. Not only was the location very practical, but the various apartments, including the "Zidane" where we stayed, were comfortable, well-appointed and adequately furnished.On top of all this, we were very pleased with the warm welcome of the owners, Joe and Elizabeth who went out of their way to make our stay most enjoyable.We look forward to another visit in the future.

Thank you Elisabeth and Joe for another wonderful stay at Les Olivettes. We have really enjoyed our time at your beautiful Mas. This being our second stay probably already tells you that Les Olivettes holds a special place in our hearts. The location of your mas in the heart of the Luberon makes it an ideal "base camp" to explore all the beautiful villages that are situated in this area. Because of Les Olivettes and the hospitality of Elisabeth and Joe we have come to love not only Provence but Luberon especially.
