  My husband and I have family nearby but we wanted our own space and privacy while visiting the family. This place was just perfect for the 2 of us! The house is well decorated and has all the comforts of home. We had fresh blueberries for breakfast right off the garden. The herb garden was very nice as well. The owners were very friendly and made the booking a very easy transaction. You can tell they love their lake home and care about the guests that stay there. We will definitely return again!

  Recommended for: Age 55+.

  Thank you for the opportunity to stay at your lake home. We had a great time. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the paddle boat and fishing in the lake while my husband and I relaxed on the dock and absorbed the beautiful lake views.It was very peaceful and relaxing. The place is beautiful even in the spring I can't imagine how much more beautiful it will be in the summer! It was also the perfect driving distance from Atlanta. We took the kids around Buford Dam to go bike riding, and found some good biking/running trails there. We hope to return again hopefully in the summer. Everything was exactly as you described it and even better.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

  Just wanted to tell you what a wonderful Easter we had here at your lake house with our grandchildren! We played soccer, baseball, catch and collected acorns both days. Looking back in your lake House guestbook, it was Easter of 2007 that we were here in the Lake house. Can't wait to visit again! Maybe sooner next time. Thank you again for letting us stay and form memories that will last forever. PS. We took 100 pictures in 2 days!!!

  With all due respect, I was less than satisfied with our visit to this lake home. The enterior of the home was charming and clean but beyond that, not only did we not have cable or internet for the entire weekend, (not a fun thing with a 12 yr old and chilly weather), but we also had to hook up the grill, couldn’t find a fry pan or a measuring cup and the general appearance of the grounds and exterior of the home was pretty rough. It appeared that the property hadn’t been rented out in a while. I rent quite often in the area-and have rented far better and bigger accommodations for the same amount. You may want to consider reducing your rates or ramping up the attention to detail. At the rate you charged, , I expected much more. Sadly the owners didnt even bother to respond to the email I sent regarding my dissatisfaction

  Owner response: We had the cable co. scheduled to come out and hook up the cable/internet after a tree fell and knocked the power lines out on the street. Unfortunately, they never showed up and we had no idea since there were no complains all weekend so we assumed the cable/internet was on. We did apologize by email to the guest for the inconvenience on Monday morning once we realized the Cable Co. never showed up. I guess he "forgot to mention that" we always respond. Our guests are very important to us, and they come first always. The cable and WiFi internet is on, there is a flat screen tv, DVD player and 10 family friendly movies, we also have a complete kitchen with everything including frying pans. As for outside, its a very natural setting. Lots of trees and birds and a beautiful lake to enjoy. The cabin is charming and comfortable. Compare our rates we are among the lowest in the area. We have a lot of happy returning guests. Thank you and happy Summer!

  Such a perfect place to have a family reunion. Less than 2 miles from my parents' home. Tranquil and scenic location. Comfortably decorated home. Very comfortable. Paddle boat was enjoyed by all, especially the kids who explored the nearby island. Only complaint...just one small bluegill!! but saw hawks and herons overhead.

  "The pictures do not the home justice; it is very clean and nicely furnished; we had a wonderful stay while our daughter prepared for the GRE; we were pleased with every aspect of the home; the kitchen has every appliance one could want; the porch is ideal for sitting or having dinner; the dock ideal for fishing; we will definitely return" Thanks again.

  What a great family vacation we had at your charming cottage! Thanks for everything. Our kids had a blast, they had the time of their lives jumping off the two private docks, swimming, fishing and building sand castles on the beach for hours. We loved the cove, explored it in the paddleboat, great leg exercise too. The cottage is beautifully decorated, it had everything we needed and more, beds were comfortable, furniture was new and of good quality, appliances were great, we barbequed a lot and we used the porch for all our meals. The cottage was the perfect place to end each day at the lake. Thanks for the great selection of DVD movies, board games, books and all the flowers everywhere. We were all sad to leave but will definetely be back again, the kids will make sure of that. Thanks again for sharing your cozy and lovely home and the wonderful memories.

  This is a wonderful getaway. It is so close, but you feel very far away from it all. It really gives you a feeling of peace. The covered porch was a great place to eat and relax without the bugs. We had a great time and even caught a few fish.
