Why the Owner Chose St. Croix
We visited Destin about 28 years ago and discovered it's beautiful beach, friendly people and many wonderful restaurants. In 2003 we stopped at Silver Shells for lunch, took one look at the view from our 8th floor condo, and bought it immediately. Silver Shells is an Upscale, Gated, Family oriented Beach Resort. It was the best family decision we have ever made.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
For us it is the Rest, Relaxation, walking on the beautiful beach, Spa, Fitness Center and the many wonderful restaurants we have discovered in Destin. We also enjoy breakfast, lunch and cocktails with a spectacular view from our balcony. Our children and grandchildren love the beach, huge pool, activities for kids and the many things to do at Silver Shells and in Destin.

We are Geneva and Frank Barnhill. We have been married 45 years, and live in Dunwoody, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta. We have owned condos in Destin for more than 28 years, and at Silver Shells since 2003. Our entire family, our children and grandchildren cannot get enough of Destin and Silver Shells. Geneva and I enjoy the Rest, Relaxation and Spa, and our family loves the Beach, Pool and many things to do at Silver Shells and Destin.
We call it our HOME AWAY FROM HOME.

We just returned from Destin, and this unit is just beautiful. It was very clean and very well decorated. Frank and Geneva were wonderful to deal with. I liked the little extras like make-up remover in each bathroom. Of all the places we have stayed in Destin, I can honestly say this is the most beautiful. Even the grounds at Silver Shells were very well taken care of. You will love the pool, the unit and the grounds. We plan to return next year. I would highly recommend this property and this unit.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

The condo was comfortable and in good condition. Frank and Geneva seem to have thought about all the little niceties like providing paper towels, dishwasher soap, etc. The complex is great for children with the lagoon pool, beach and beachside bar. We hope to stay again sometime soon! Thanks for everything!

We just got home from our "snowbird" stay of 2 months. Everyting about the condo exceeded our expectations. The pictures do not give justice to how inviting the condo happens to be. Silver Shells is a great resort. Mr. Barnhill is so nice in providing extra info about Destin. Looking forward to staying in Destin in the future. The Henrys from Maryland

Thank you so much for everything you have done. I really apreshiate it and you have a very good hotel! Also you have a big pool at your hotel. By the pool there is a hot tub. Well have you every thought of putting a sand box by the pool so you can have little kids play while there parents swim in the pool. That would be fun.
