The condo was recommended to me by a friend and we decided to take him up on this jewel of a recommendation. The condo was centrally located to everything, the Big Save grocery store, restaurants(we tried quite a few and loved all of them, including Brennecke's). It was cozy, cute, and so convenient and had anything you could possibly need, down to even the smallest of details. It was accessible to everything on the island(we drove all over the island and took in so many sights) and took it easy some days and walked over to Brennecke beach to relax. The owners were super at providing and coordinating information. We loved every second of our trip and had great accommodations with this condo!! Thank you Bill and Toby!!
Owner response:Thank you Maria and Michael for your wonderful review. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay, especially after all the challenges you had getting there! We would love to welcome you back again whenever you're ready for a little R&R!! Mahalo! Toby & Bill

This little piece of paradise had everything I needed for a wonderful stay. The kitchen is fully stocked, the bed is comfortable and it's the best location for the beach and touring the south shore. The furnishings are charming and it's a quiet spot to read and relax too. This is my fourth stay on Kauai and my second stay here....I will definitely stay here again next time!
Owner response:Thank you Harriet! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay and we look forward to welcoming you back soon. Toby & Bill

My husband, who has limited mobility, and I stayed here for a month over the holidays and it was the perfect location for us....a ground floor unit, no stairs, the tub/shower had a grab bar and bench and everything was easily in reach. The location is perfect and we were able to walk the short way to Poipu Beach every day, get coffee at Brennekke's and a quick sandwich to eat at the park. The kitchen had everything we needed to make meals when we didn't feel like going out. All in all, it was perfect. Even though we stayed for a month, we didn't have a car and foudn the public transportation to be great. We would recommend this place and hope that we can come back next year. Thanks for helping us make our Kauai dream vacation come true!
Owner response:Thank you Sarah and Bill. We are so glad this worked out for you and we hope you can come back again next year! Mahalo, Toby and Bill

This condo was perfect for our first trip to Kauai. It was literally steps from Poipu beach. We walked to the beach at least once a day and took full advantage of the kitchen to make lots of meals to cut dining costs. The apartment was so well equipped, it had everything we needed, and more. The AC was a plus, as was the laundry room on the premises (it's coin operated). The location was pretty central to exploring both the east and west sides of the island. The owners were super nice and made our first experience with VRBO a pleasant one. We hope to return to Kauai soon and would definitely stay here again. Mahalo!!

We had a wonderful two-week stay at this very clean well-maintained cozy condo. The interior and exterior appear to have been recently painted and looked very nice and clean. It's just a short walk to the Beach to swim or enjoy the sunset. The only bummer was that the Broadband Internet did not work. On an up note, make sure you eat at Keoki's Paradise located in the Poipu Shopping Village and get the Hula Pie for desert. Look for coupons in the tourist rags for a free one.
Owner response:Thank you LeRoy for your nice review. I am so sorry the internet didn't work. If you would ever like to book with us again, I will be happy to offer you a nice discount to make up for the inconvenience. Mahalo! Toby Hinson

I had a wonderful 5-day stay in Kauai, thanks in large part to this cozy home-away-from-home! The apartment was as-advertised, immaculately clean, had everything I needed for cooking, and ideally located near Poipu beach (as well as conveniently equidistant from West shore and North shore beaches). I can't wait to come back to kauai and would stay here again without hestitation! Mahalo to the owners! -Carl

My wife and I stayed here last Febuary. The condo reminded me of a cheep motel in the bad part of a big city. Not at all close to anything I have rented in Hawaii ever before. The cabinits doors were hard to open because they needed attention. The bathroom window was so rotten we had to buy a hammer to use as a window lock. The place felt "old". It was also very very hard to sleep. Every night the people above were walking around untill about 1:00 am When I asked the manager about it he said two girls in the end unit worked late, but would ask them to keep the noise down. Three nights later we found out it was the manager who was making the noise! When I asked him about it he said no, it was someone else.We also had to ask three other units to keep the noise down after midnight. I called the owner after the first night to see what they could do. I told her I would be willing to take a rebate and find another place to stay. She offered no help at all. I am a carpenter of 25 years, and I know a dump when I see one. Save your money. Pitch a tent on the beach if you want to be close to the water.
Owner response:I am sorry this guest was unhappy with our condo and quite surprised that he waited to post his review one year after staying there. We have owned and successfully rented this unit for 8 years and had many satisfied guests, as can be seen from other reviews posted on our vrbo site. We advertise a modest yet clean and comfortable place in a great location and at an affordable price. It appears this guest was expecting an upscale resort and our place was clearly not what he had in mind when he booked with us, despite the discounted rate he paid. We have two Kauai condos listed on vrbo and always try to ensure our guests' satisfaction but unfortunately that was not possible in this case and I am sorry that it resulted in a negative review.

We spent three weeks in this beautiful condo. The location is perfect – short walk to Poipu beach park and Brenneke’s beach. The condo is very clean and nice. There is everything you might need to cook and keep condo clean while staying. Thanks to the owners for the great vacation! One note for the future travellers – washer and dryer are outside the unit and you will need coins to use. Yulia

This is a great condo with a very central Southern location. It is really a very short walk to a great beach or should I say three beaches. As you leave the condo you walk right into the park.... facing the ocean, the beach to your left is a great body board spot. Great break not far off shore with mainly sand bottom. To the right is a miniature bay; the rocks create a barrier and the waters are calm, and it's a decent snorkeling spot. Further to the right is a real long typical Hawaii beach, one of the big resorts is right there. So you kind of get three beaches within walking distance. The other huge selling point was the A/C, the trade winds only go so far when you been active outside for a long while. Much of the Island goes without A/C, but if you can have it... why not? Brennecke's Restaurant, also within walking distance was very good. Service is top notch and food is quite good as well. If you decide to leave the beach, Spouting Horn is a short drive away. And the MUST SEE of Kauai, Waimea Canyon is only a hour away. (Travel time on island is much slower than mainland). So an hour is not very far distance wise. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend this condo anyone. Mahalo,

This condo is wonderful. It was the perfect place to stay for all of my adventures. I hiked the Na Pali coast and when I came home I could air out all my camping gear on the lawn and do my laundry. Having full internet access was great for communicating with home. When I was home, even for a few hours, I could wander down to the beach and enjoy the classic Hawai’ian beach experience. What a wonderful park, right at the end of the block! Cooking at home kept my expenses down, although there are plenty of great restaurants nearby. It’s nice to stay in a quiet residential neighborhood rather than an expensive resort. This will definitely be my little home next time I return!

Aloha! What a terrific place and so centrally located! The south shore is the place to be! The condo was perfect- and so clean. You never know what to expect but we were very pleased. Mahalo for the use of your condo and all the convenient extras. The snorkel gear was terrific! Again, Mahalo for your hospitality. Aloha 'til next time. The Doherty's.

My 2 weeks has sadly come to an end. Your little apartment has everything and only 100 steps to Hawaii's perfect beach. Sunsets at the Beach House Restaurant were spectacular, even saw the "green flash"! This is the perfect spot to stay to see all the wonderful sights of Kauai. And a great bed to rest up for the next day's adventures! Can't thank you enough and looking forward to next year!

Your condo was perfect for our 8 days in Kauai (not enough time!). We really appreciated the cable TV for quiet nights in and all the cookware, kitchenware and bathroom stuff was so nice to have here. Poipu is beautiful as is the rest of this gorgeous island. Mahalo for the hospitality!
