"Lamm's End Cottage" is a just a wonderful location on Folly Beach. A two-minute stroll to the beach. Just 5-blocks to downtown Folly. Folly's colorful-laid back restaurants, shops, and famous fishing pier are all within a short walk of the cottage. The island's only tennis and a darling children's park --complete with an old fashion gazebo-- a pirates ship--- and even a kid's version of our lighthouse are directly behind the Cottage.
The Cottage was redecorated this spring in a colorful "Maine Cottage" design with a great deal of emphasis on your comfort and relaxation. High thread count designer bedding, down comforters and linens. The Cottage is filled with artwork from some of our favorite Charleston artists. We also included delightful, historic photographs of our decorator's Charleston family enjoying Folly at the turn of the century.
Wireless, high speed internet available throughout the cottage and our numerous decks and porches. Bring along your IPOD.. the connections are there for you to enjoy your own music selection.
"Lamm's End Cottage" is modeled after our first home on Folly, the original "Lamm's End". We are a completely guest friendly, turn-key vacation.
Our keyless entry system allows us to effortlessly arrange for a quick rental in the fall, winter and spring. Simply check the forecast and call Beth.
Beautiful custom cabinets, granite counters, and stainless appliances in the kitchen which is well-equipped with appropriate pots, pans, & gadgets! New baths, pedestal sinks, slate floors and full-sized laundry.
Much was done during the massive renovation so the Cottage is now a completely modern retreat. Yet the charm and nostalgia of a by-gone era of old Folly remain. The original antique heart-pine floors, tongue and groove wood ceilings and a large front porch are beautifully restored. The Cottage is surrounded by a large deck which overlooks the gazebo & tennis court. So relax, throw some steaks on the grill, grab your favorite beverage and watch the kids play tennis or frolic in the park.

Due to the comfort and health of our family and guests, we do not permit smoking ANYWHERE on the premises. One extremely, well-behaved, well-groomed, preferably small dog pre-treated for fleas and ticks is welcome but MUST be pre-approved through Beth. We charge a pet fee--- it is however RETURNED after our housekeeper Joanne's inspection in which she determines that all dog rules in terms of clean-up and respect of our home and yard are followed. Why the Owner Chose Folly Beach
There is no place like Folly. The island includes an eclectic mix of people ... from bohemian artists, to 20-something surfer dudes, to wealthy retired boomers... to regular Moms, Dads and their kids. You can't tell them apart on Folly... tee shirts, flip, flops and shorts are the dress code. They all come to enjoy a beautiful, natural island and a laid-back island lifestyle. Likewise, Folly also has a wide range of housing from multi-million dollar homes to charming beach cottages that have been in southern families for many generations. Folly is a fresh relief from the manicured, Disney-like beaches that so many vacation communities have become. If a golf-gated community is what you're looking for, Folly is not the place for you.

Beth is a completely hands-on owner. No management company... just one on one with Beth. Lamm's End and Lamm's End Cottage are improved constantly. Beth pays close attention to creature comforts... comfortable beds, black out curtains to ensure a good night's sleep, high thread count all cotton bedding, down comforters. This is a turn-key operation. Everything --- from toilet paper, paper towels, laundry soap, dish & dishwashing soap, hand soap, spices--- is provided. The family loves to cook and the kitchen reflects that. The on-line reviews demonstrate years of happy, satisfied, returning guests.
Owner's Map of Folly Beach
Beth looked for beach property from the coast of NC to Georgia for 2 years. The minute she drove on Folly, it felt perfect. Relaxed, laid-back and only 11 miles from Charleston, SC! "Lamm's End" was the first home purchased in 2004. A year later, "Lamm's End Cottage" was added. It was an old, dilapidated yet charming mariner's bungalow that hadn't been lived in for many years and it required a ton of work. But to her, it represented the best of Folly and it was worth preserving. Over the course of the following year, the cottage was completely gutted and put back together. It is now a completely modern retreat, yet it retains the romance and warmth of yesteryear. The location is wonderful... 2 minute stroll to the beach, 7 minutes to the shops and restaurants of Folly and the most darling children's park is directly behind the house. The Lamm family loves to travel, they are pictured in Mendoza, Argentina.
