Our family of seven had the most amazing weather, food, and accommodations in Cayman. The owner recommended Calypso Gril Restaurant, which is five minutes away by car. We dined on the veranda, overlooking the stars, with five star cuisine. We snorkeled and dived in the back of our home, with groupers, sting rays, and huge angel fish up, close, and personal. Then, we went horseback riding just a three minute drive away, galloping on the secluded beaches east of CaymanBayEscape. Sitting and having a libation at sunset or java in the morning on the ocean bench was the unparalleled. When lazy, we drove five minutes down the road for meals to great restaurant on the water-at reasonable prices. When we returned to Chicago, we contacted the owner and booked next April, 2013-at a 25% discount. Best value after searching the internet extensively!!!

After working 2 straight years without a vacation my boss tells me to get out of town and go on a long vacation and dont take your cell phone or laptop. So, being the good employee as I would like to think that I am took him at his word and began to do my research as where I would like to go and de-stress. After a small amount of research on VRBO I continued to keep coming back to this house vrbo site. I contacted the owner with a few questions which he was very helpful in responding and at that point I made the final decision to stay at this home. Once my husband and I drove into the drive we bagan to leave all of the past behind back in the States and begin to unwind into a week of bliss. The home is very relaxing an has all of the amenities to provide a stressless vacation. We did not need to pack anything extra such as hairdryers or beachtowels or toiletries as it was all provided. We did stop at Fosters Food Fair and loaded up on groceries as I love to cook and had all of the utincils and such to prepare meals that were enjoyed each day out on the patio over looking the pool and the carribean. We also had dinner at Pappagallo, which this is a must for any guest staying at the home or on the island. Very nice atmosphere and the food was delicious. Found a great church we attended on Sunday (Calvary Baptist) and to our surprise the house keeper and property manager attend as well. Very sweet and wonderful ladies that I hope to maintain a friendship for years to come. Snorkeling is good behind the home, we spent numerous hours exploring there. And afterwards lounged in the pool on the rafts that we left behind for the next guest to enjoy. What we loved mainly about the home was the privacy and seclusion. No one walked around the home and it was off the main road where you did not hear any traffic or road noise you typically hear back in the States. The home also has a security system, but we never felt unsafe at any point. We will difinitly make this a place where we would like to return and stay again and also recommend to our friends for their stressfree vacation.

We took our four adult kids (20 to 29) to this spot for a week, and while we hoped to enjoy ourselves we never expected to have one of the best family vacations we've ever had. We have done cruises, we have stayed at all inclusive resorts, and we do enjoy them. But the trouble vacationing with older kids in a resort or on a cruise is that as soon as you arrive they go their way and you go yours, and you never see each other until the plane ride home. But this is a real home, in a real neighborhood, and it made all the difference. We loved the pool, loved lounging around the house, loved swimming in the ocean out back, and the young adults ADORED the Tiki Beach each and every night until it closed. We cooked in or BBQed on the deck almost every night, with lots of laughs (and photos. Then each evening, the kids took off for the nightlife just 10 minutes away on 7 mile beach while we sipped wine and watched the sun setting with the occasional local fisherman silhouetted on the distant jetty. We ate out at Alfresco's one night, and enjoyed the food and views. We also took a day trip to the other side of the island, to Rum Point, and spent the day there. Great fun and killer Blue Iguanas (curacao and rum). We went to the national park just up the road (literally) and met some of the park staff who told us about their conservation efforts and helped us identify some birds and lizards. We also did some traditional stuff, like the catamaran trip to stingray city, which should definitely not be missed, and a snorkel on the big reef. We tried to snorkel off the nearby beaches nearer to the wall, but to be honest, the snorkeling outside of our door, especially toward the jetty and into the old dock there, was great, and better than anywhere nearby. The kids did a sunset cruise, and they went horseback riding with Honeysuckle Stables, a five minute walk up the road. (He lets you take the horses on the beach, and into the water.) The photos, even the video, for CBE do not do it justice. We all agreed. The premises is clean, nicely decorated, and the layout is great for a group. Housekeeping came in once during the week to freshen up, which was nice. The owner called mid-week to check in, a terrific touch. Sometimes “Fred” the iguana suns himself on the TV antenna.. but hey.. it’s the islands! We have already recommended this property to friends.
Owner response:My wife and I appreciate all of the wonderful, flattering reviews that we have received from our guests during the last decade. If you are a prospectrive renter, as the review indicates, we shall call you from the United States to assure that you have an enjoyable, wonderful, and most memorable stay at our villa and cottage. The snorkeling and diving your backyard will be world class.! You have nearly a football field of oceanfront to share with your special friends and family. As an advanced diver, and all three of my children are certified divers, the 120 foot clarity of the oceanfront of CaymanBayEscape is stunning and breath-taking. My wife and I visit this property every few months to assure that it is well maintained and that the place is kept to the highest of standards. We take pride in the number of superior reviews on VRBO--but do not take them for granted. We shall continue to raise the bar of our amenities so that our guests have memorable vacations as the ones who have written the complimentary and flattering reviews above. We are truly grateful and appreciative and never underestimate the importance of guest convenience, comfort, and pleasure--The Caymanian style.

Five Ladies and I just returned from a fabulous week at Cayman Bay Escape. The house is absolutely beautifully kept and very clean. The pictures are deceiving it’s much larger than it looks from the outside. The grounds and pool were well maintained. We had a lovely lady, Marlene, come in 2 days while we were there to clean and wash towels. There is also a pool maintenance person. Barbara the property manager was very helpful with any questions that came up during the week. The owners obviously pay attention to every detail of the property. The patio area down by the water is a great place to end the day with a cocktail and watch the sunset! Would recommend this property for a group of friends or a few couples. It’s private, clean has all the amenities you could ask for in a home away from home. Bring your IPod; there is a great sound system to plug into at the house. We did have an extra set of keys made for the Ladies staying in the cottage which worked out well. The house does have an alarm system which was nice. Would stay at Cayman Bay Escapes again! We highly recommend calling Native Way boat Charter Company. We had hired Native Way (owners Sharon and Eldon) 3 years ago and called them again this trip. For about the same price as the “tourist” outings we chartered a boat for just the 6 of us. The boat took us to Stingray City, another location for snorkeling and lunch at Rum Point. Another day we spent the afternoon in Georgetown shopping and having lunch. Would recommend Hammerhead in Georgetown for a local atmosphere, lunch and drinks on the water. We had dinner at Papagallo’s one night as well. Great week was had by all!

We stayed at CaymanBayEscape for a week in the latter part of January, 2011. This is the fourth winter at this amazing piece of real estate (Living in Michigan, we need to get away from the cold winters). We love the following features of Grand Cayman:Seven Mile Beach (which is only 5.5 miles); the following restaurants: Pappagallos, Calypso Gril, Luca, Regazzi, and the Wharf; diving and Sting Ray Snorkeling with Red Sail Sports (we get a 10% discount because we stay at CaymanBayEscape); horseback riding (only a few blocks from the home); and making a lot of great meals at this villa, with the barbeque. We feel like we are living there--not like tourists! The draw to this villa and cottage is that it is secluded, but not remote. We are a five minute drive to Seven Mile Beach and all the major restaurants. The premises are meticulous and the management is responsive. The romantic sunsets and sunrises can both be viewed because the property faces north. With our best friends drinking cosmopolitans at the wet bar, reminising, as we watch the purple haze sunset--nothing can be better--nothing beats it! Each year, we have a hard time leaving. We booked trip number five for January 2012--at a discount, of course, for repeat guests. The owner treats us like friends--friends that he wants to always make happy.

I have just returned from a one week stay at Cayman Bay Escape. My family and I were there over the Christmas week from Dec 25-Jan 1. With my group of 7, this lovely home provided the ideal amount of space with an ample number of bedrooms and bathrooms. We also had loads of space for sitting whether it be inside or out. The beauty of this home are the following amenities: dishwasher, supplies meant to suit a large group, access to a deserted beach for walking while having close proximity to Seven Mile Beach, grocery shopping, Georgetown and the airport. During our visit, we were able to invite three friends over for New Year's Eve dinner as we barbecued and dined outside listening to the ocean and viewing the endless number of stars. While there is an alarm system provided for security, a safe for guest use would be the only suggestion I could offer. Great family vacation destination!

We stayed at CaymanBayEscape in December, 2010 for a week. Booking was seamless. The owners are passionate about pleasing the guests. Michael is an advanced scuba diver, giving us amazing tips on where to dive inexpensively. He offered great tips for horseback riding, restaurants, happy hours, and car rentals. This place is spacious. With four couples, we had plenty of space, with multiple eating places--dining room, deck, and porch. Every bedroom, including the cottage, had an ocean view. This was an amazing value for all of us. We are booking for December, 2011.

Our family of six stayed at CaymanBayEscape during Thanksgiving. It was truly a remarkable property for our family. We had checked out the Ritz Carlton and the Westin. We saved over $6000 by staying at this home, not to mention not having to share beach lounges with dozens of other guests. We used barbecue grill every night, savings hundreds of dollars over the course of a week. Our kids snorkeled (with our supervision) in the back yard. We played games in the porch. The owner gave us hints such as bringing frozen food from the US and bringing duty free liquor before we left. The early morning sunrise and afternoon sunsets with breathtaking. The manager, Barbara, was great, helpful, and kept our place meticulous when she cleaned it. This was the only way to go--a luxury vacation and reasonable pricing. Thank you VRBO for helping us find this listing. We are going to book our family for next year.l

Our family and friends, total of seven (four adults and three children) stayed at CaymanBayEscape during October, 2010. When we woke up in the morning, from all bedrooms, you can see the Caribbean vistas. At night, you can sit by the table by the ocean, watching red and purple sunsets. Star gazing on a clear night knocked our socks off. It was like staying at our own resort. The spacious deck, with eight lounge chairs and several cocktail chairs, and the bucket seats in the pool--along with perfect weather--allowed us to savor one of our most memorable vacations. We snorkeled several times off the oceanfront, seeing huge angel fish, parrot fish, and yellow jacks. Typically, one would only see such rich marine life off of a dive or snorkel boat. We liked how secluded and peaceful nature of this Caribbean compound. It's pefect for the seasoned traveler, who wants convenient shopping and restaurant, but wants to get away from touristy congestion. As we write, we are contacting the owner to book for next October--with a repeat dicount.

We searched the Internet for weeks to find the greatest value with spectacular Caribbean vistas. We are not divers, but the snorkeling in back of this home was world class. We could see amazing marine life and spectacular reefs typicaly only offered on boats. We swam 150 yards out and could see the bottom reefs. The owner, Michael, is an advanced scuba diver. He gave is great snorkeling sites besides this home, as well as five star restaurants and economical restaurants. Our family of seven had the most memorable time. Our chldren loved the snorkeling. The place was immaculate--not to mention the wet bar, with a panoramic view of ocean. We are seasoned travels and demand value. This exceeded our expectations. We are coming back in 2011!

This was a most memorable vacation for our entire family of seven. We always avoid Waikiki or Miami Beach crowds. We loved the seclusion of this villa and cottage-yet it was not remote! It took us five minutes to drive to Fosters Supermarket, which was excellent American standards grocery shopping. We saved tons of money by not having to eat out. The owner and manager were very gracious and helpful with dive sites, restaurants, and discount water activities. The ocean sunsets and sunrises were amazing! We have booked for next year (owner gave us a great discount).

I am happy to recommend this beautiful property in Cayman for your next vacation. I have taken friends and family to this beautiful vacation home for the last 2 years, and will continue to make it my regular vacation spot because its perfect! The beautifully decorated, extremely well maintained home is spacious with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms in the main home, and a small full guest house addition with full bedroom and bath. The view is spectacular, the pool and spa are clean and right on the beach in the back yard. You're close to all restaraunts, grocery, shopping, hotels. Anything you want to do is close. The snorkeling off the coast in back is fabulous and as a diver, there is no better place in the world. The best part is its so private. You really never want to leave. Breakfast in the morning with coffee overlooking the beautiful ocean, lazy afternoons in the pool, and snorkeling in the ocean right off your back yard. Amazing!!! I cant tell you how fabulous it is, until you see it yourself. And should you decide this is something you would like to try, I know you will be back. Hard not to miss this place and all it has to offer!!!

I recently stayed at this gorgeous vacation home and couldn't recommend it more. We spent countless hours laying out by the pool on an enormous and secluded deck with our extended family and also grilled steaks and fish a few nights and went snorkeling off the back of the house. The house is far enough away from the rush of tourists on Seven Mile Beach to feel as if you have your own home, but close enough to a few high quality restaurants (within 5 minutes driving was Calypso Grill and Papagalo's) along with two large supermarkets so you can stock up in the large kitchen for the week. The bedrooms comfortably accommodated our large, extended family and the house was cleaned throughout the week by professional staff. Compared to staying in a hotel during high season, for us, this is a no-brainer. We also used plenty of recommendations by the owner which turned out to be wonderful--and in a few instances received a discount as well using his name. We will be coming back to this house and Grand Cayman many more times.

Our family of six stayed at this villa and cottage for a week. We had amazing weather. The house was emaculate and more than we expected. With three flat screen TVS and WI FI, we felt connected but relaxed. As divers and snorkelers, we could not have been happier there. With an ubstructed view of the Caribbean, we had a hard time leaving! We will rent again.

We are seasoned scuba divers and snorkelers from New York. We traded our apartment in New York for a week in the Cayman Islands. This was the smartest thing our family did. The clarity of the water behind CaymanBayEscape allowed spectacular exploration of this beautiful marine park. We saw turtles, parrot fish, huge angel fish, and groopers during several dives. We rented tanks from Seven Mile Beach and enjoyed inexpensive diving that saved us hundreds of dollars on our vacation. Diving the North Wall from our backyard was astounding. We'll be back!

I have stayed at Cayman Bay Escape three times in the last couple of years. I've stayed with friends to family and we each had a wonderful stay. We enjoyed the privacy, spacious room, and the view. It was only a short drive to a beach and/or restaurant, but that's what made the trip fun. We really loved the freedom and enjoyed cooking our own food outside on the huge patio overlooking the ocean. My nieces had a great time playing in the pool and relaxing on the patio. I would highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to get away, relax, and enjoy the beauty of Grand Cayman!
