This was our first time to Maui. My husband and I spent 9 nights at the Keawakapu condo this spring. We were impressed by the location: within a short walking distance of the beach, lovely sunsets from the lanai, relatively quiet and close to amenities. The condo was well stocked with kitchen essentials, and generally we found the condo clean, attractive and functional.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Excellent view of the garden! Owner provided lots of beach accessories and games. Nice and quiet, and very clean. Our designated parking spot was always available. Good price for the location. Jerry was very helpful in answering questions and giving us a welcome letter full of recommendations. We would definitely recommend this condo and would stay here again.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

This condo is half the price of others in the same south Kihei area near Wailea. The views from the lanai and the 2 bedrooms are exactly as shown. I am a light sleeper and was bothered by the noise of the traffic on south Kihei Road which only stops from about 2 a.m. to 4 a.m. My friend in the bedroom overlooking the parking lot was woken by the garbage trucks and other vehicles. The flights of stairs are full story and the laundry is at the ground level. If you have knee problems, like me, it's difficult. The screen door and the sliding shower doors need maintenance. My 78 yr old friend got stuck and had a real struggle. The vacuum cleaner over heats, so you can only vacuum for 5 minutes, then have to wait for 20 for it to cool down. You can pay for the cleaning service if you want. The kitchen is reasonably well-equipped except for scissors. The wi-fi and the TV were a little finicky but this is the fault of the service provider, not the owner. The bed was comfortable, lots of towels, the fridge is new, beach gear, toys & books are there. The living room & lanai are both pleasant and the drying rack on the balcony was convenient for wet suits & towels. The phone number the owner provided for his rep on Maui was incorrect and I had to email him when the screen door stuck open, to get the right number. The owner was a little slow in returning my deposit - I left the property on Dec. 11 and my refund arrived on Jan. 16 but there were no unwarranted deductions. The owner described the location & nearby areas accurately. Keawakapu Beach, a half-mile of beautiful sand is across the street. The bus stop is conveniently at the bottom of the street and runs every hour. I bought daily bus passes for $2 each. I needed to take the bus to the markets frequently since I couldn't carry much at one time. No a/c was needed because the condo is part-way up Maui Hill and gets a breeze. You can walk south up the beach to the Marriott & the shops at Wailea (Honolulu Coffee Co). The convenience store across the street has almost everything including a little deli at normal prices for Maui. Lots of good points here if you want to keep your cost down. On the other hand, if you like a high-end property, that will cost you about double in the same area. I would not recommend this property for seniors, anyone with difficulty on stairs or who like 4 star professionally managed properties. The owner has priced it fairly for what you getRecommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We stayed at the condo for 9 days and truly have enjoyed everyday of our stay. Located in a quiet street, it takes only 5 minutes to walk to the beach. Being on the third floor, there's a cool breeze that flows through the condo in the evening. The unit is also located away from any foot traffic, thus provided a peaceful and quiet environment. It has a beautiful view, as pictured, and lots of flowering plants to admire. The kitchen is fully functional; the microwave, oven and range all work well. We didn't eat out much so we were quite pleased with that. Some other things we enjoyed: Great selection of cable channels, lots books and board games to choose from, and especially the well-kept snorkling gear, bodyboards, and sand toy bucket for the kids. I found 301 a perfect spot in Kihei... It was comfortable and clean and had all the kitchen ammenties you can possibly need... Awesome sunset views and nice Lania for outdoor eating and cocktails... or just reading a book.. The complex is clean, colorful with flowers and as I mentioned in a great location...two restauants across the street both very good for breakfast, lunch and dinner and Palm five has a great happy hour.... Very close to the Wailea Mall.... The prettiest walk on the Island is steps away. Did some diving with maui dive shop and also thier Catermaran trip to Molakini, it was awesome, best food and crew ... Also got up to O'o Ranch for thier tour on thier oganic farming land next to the Lavaner fields these are both a must do.... awesome lunch provided at o'o ranch.. Also went to a new place for lunch in Kihei, Fabiani's on Lipoa,,, go and try this cute little place, the food was very good and best prices on the Island... Did not enjoy LuLu's for lunch at all. But a must do is the Kihei Cafe...for breakfast or lunch... THE best... I enjoyed my stay very much. mahalo Jerry and Vicki.. Aloha DaleDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

We found the condo to be clean, well maintained and very well equipped. There was every kind of beach apparatus that one could want and a kitchen very well equipped for long stays such as ours with many meals to be prepared. The furniture, decorations and linens were very good. The beach is an easy walk away and the other beaches, whale watching, snorkeling and fishing boats are an easy drive away.Very good to not so good restaurants are a walk or short drive away. The Cafe O Lei was the best and the Kula Lodge Restaurant was a close second. Mama's Fish House was great but expensive. We recommend this condo.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Best location in Kihei! The condo is located within walking distance of great beaches and many amenities but is very private and quiet. Everything you need is there - guide books, beach chairs, boogie boards, snorkels/fins and the wifi was a great plus. We were a family of 4 with 2 teenagers and we found the condo very comfortable. Bring your binoculars for spectacular whale watching from the lanai! Thanks Jerry and Vicki.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Our stay at Keawakapu #301 was wonderful! I have to give it to the both of you.We found everything you had said about your place to be true to your word, in what I would have to say is a perfect location! Jan and I did some of the tourist stuff, walked miles of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. We did allot of snorkeling, and walked down to " the Moose" almost every night and had a couple of cold ones during happy hour with the locals. It was really hard to leave such a wonderful place, we are already talking about a return trip! Jan and I personally recommend Keawakapu #301 to everyone!Did you find this review helpful? Very pleasant condo, well-equipped kitchen, and charming decorations in every room. You can tell the owners really care about their place. The beach towels, ice chest, and other beach supplies that they made available were a very appreciated convenience. Note that you have to climb stairs to the 3rd floor, therefore not for those who need an elevator. Air conditioning is only in the master bedroom, but there are ceiling fans in every room that otherwise do the trick. No buildings between you and the unbeatable view from the lanai of the awesome sunsets over the ocean! We loved the impressive, huge plumeria tree in the garden. The condo is in a wonderful central location to see all of Maui. Beautiful beach was within easy walking distance. Great biking (if you're into long distance biking) and driving access to all parts of the island: West Maui, Hana Highway, and Haleakala. Quiet and nice resident neighbors made it a point to be helpful and respectful to each other, and to us as visitors. We did not feel like we were "just tourists" temporarily passing through. More than any place we've rented, it felt like home to us. We had a really enjoyble family vacation staying here.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

We stayed here in May of 2008. It was a very good time to be on the Island! The place was great for are family of four. It was a good location and had lot's of extra's for us to use while we were there. Very clean but not so nice we had to worry about the kids hurting anything. We would go back and stay there anytime!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

We certainly enjoyed our stay at Keawakapu #301. Jerry and Vicki provided us with all the things we needed to have a wonderful time a Maui. The weather was great and particularly enjoyed traveling around and seeing the different parts of the island. From beach to volcanos to tropical rainforests, we loved it all. Very good value for the price, all the small touches are there - wireless access, well used guidebooks, free local calls, cooler, beach toys. We would snorkle each day before breakfast, how can it get better than that??? Some great sunset photos right from the lanai, with Pina Coladas in the blender...everything a vacation should be. Tradewinds made the A/C unnecessary. As we parked in the lot, it felt like you were coming home after a full day of playing hard.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

Our stay at your condo in Maui was wonderful! The condo location is perfect-so close to such a beautiful beach and yet far enough away from the "action" of Kihei to be relaxing! The condo has all the amenities we could need, and was a very comfortable place to stay! Thanks so much for everything...Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Keawakapu #301 felt like home. It had everything we needed and more. And the location can't be beat, at the very southern end of Kihei just before Wailea - lots of beaches and reasonably priced eating places close by. We will definitely return, and stay longer next time. I highly recommend it.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Wow! The location here is incredible!!! 100 yards from the water's edge & miles of sandy, swimable beaches in either direction...we didn't even need the car for the first three days! Family-friendly South Kihei Town to the north and the laid-back luxury of Wialea to the south...picture perfect vistas at every turn... This place has a very comfortable feel to it...like staying in your friend's apartment while they are out of town! You'll want to stay longer...Did you find this review helpful?
