We had a wonderful anniversary weekend at The Garden Suite. The property was very clean, well-laid out and began to feel like a little oasis in the midst of our busy lives. The kitchen had everything we needed (thank you for the coffee!), the bed was extremely comfortable and we thoroughly enjoyed the privacy. We are Jacksonville natives and are very familiar with the area, so we knew this property would be convenient to restaurants, attractions, etc. We spent an enjoyable Sunday morning fishing off the Jacksonville Pier. Mike was easy to work with and we felt well-taken care of. We will be back!

Quiet, clean, dog friendly, great amenities

We had a wonderful 3 days with our dog. The private outside patio was perfect for relaxing. The kitchen was fully stocked and clean. There was everything we needed and much more. The beach was very close and we could walk the dog before 8 and also in the evening. We found a dog friendly park called Hanna state park. That beach was dog friendly all day. We would certainly recommend this property for our friends and relatives. Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!

Great Location

My husband and I visited Jacksonville Beach for the first time and we really enjoyed our time there. Living in Florida most of our lives we have really missed out. The rental is private and in a great location. There is a lot to do in Jax Beach and the rental is close to everything.

I know the company you keep is a big part of enjoying a vacation (I had that part down) But the Garden Suite made it perfect. The kitchen facilities were well equipped, the bedding was plush and comfortable and the location is very close to beach with chairs and towels provided, . Our overall stay was wonderful. The private courtyard was perfect for us. At check in, I noticed a light was not working in the bathroom. I called Mike and it was fixed within 30 minutes. Amazing service!! Thanks for a perfect vacation! Would recommend and stay again....

Wonderful Time

My wife and I spent our 27th wedding anniversary in the Garden Suite. Everything was wonderful and as described. The beach was only a 2 minute walk from the house and if needed, you could drive and park for free at the beach. There was beach parking at the end of the street. It was also nice to have bikes provided which came in handy when going to dinner. Just a few blocks to the north were several places to eat which were within walking distance. Also, just a short drive to Atlantic Boulevard to the North were more restaurants and places to shop. Publics and Wallgreens were very close which made grocery shopping easy. Internet access was provided and it was quick. The private garden area was nice but we were not really able to enjoy it due to the heat. The only problem we encountered was we were unable to figure out how to get the DVD player to work. We were able to use the IPOD docking feature but could not get the video for the movie to come up on the screen. This was a minor issue for us since we spent most of our time at the beach or out in the evening. I would recommend Chicago for deep dish pizza and Bonefish grill for seafood. There were many other places we wanted to try but simply did not have enough time. We will definitely return and would recommend this The Suites to others.

Everything good that you read about this place and Mike is true. I reserved the Suite for my parents for July 5th through the 10th and they had the best time. Mike did in fact think of everything!!

Mike, we wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at LaPalmeraie.The unit was exactly what was pictured on vrbo. It was a nice layout, having a private fenced area for the two Jack Russell’s, along with the ‘general’ area where we could enjoy a bonfire and meet with the other tenants. We were fortunate to have great weather while we were in Florida. We enjoyed many long walks along the beautiful beaches and the restaurants and shops were within walking distance as well.Thanks for a great little hideaway. We look forward to next year.

The Garden Suite at La Palmeraie was perfect--fully equipped kitchen, even coffee! Our two-year old LOVED it. Beds were very comfortable and cozy. The courtyard was peaceful. It was close to everything, and far from nothing. We'll be back!!

Our extending family (our family, grandparents, sister, brother-in-law and nephew) collectively stayed in the Guest Suite and the Executive Suite, and we LOVED it! The accommodations were lovely, the courtyard was especially nice - beautifully landscaped, with hammocks, a fire pit and bikes! - and we really enjoyed our time away from home. We'll be renting again the next time we come to Jacksonville.

Just got home yesterday, the Garden Suite was great! We stayed with our young children and our dog. All the comments you read on this site are absolutely accurate! It was VERY clean, the all white linens were fresh and smelled fresh. They have payed so much attention to detail in making sure that your stay is comfortable, you almost can't describe it, you have to see it! All you need to bring are your clothes! We loved it, it was a very relaxing getaway. If we come back to Jacksonville, we will definitely stay here again and will highly recommend to anyone. Thanks Mike, great place you have there!

We stayed in the Garden Suite, it was more than we expected. It was very clean, cozy and near everything. We stayed for 5 days. We will be going back. Mike thought of everything. It was so much nicer than any hotel room I have stayed in. It was absolutely the best vacation we have had in a long time. I wouldn't think of going somewhere else. My stay at La Palmeraie was a great experience. Mike and Holly have created a space which allows guests to feel like they are in their own home away from home. The design of the garden and rooms has a very relaxing feel. They know the town inside and out, and you can explore all of it on the beach cruisers they provide. Mike even got me a hard to get appointment with a great tattoo artist in Jacksonville.

The Garden Suite is great! Super clean, convenient to the white sand beach, restaurants...The private patio was especially nice to hang out, even has a hammock! They really pay attention to the details for comfort and style. Mike and Holly are great hosts, pointed us to the right spots to eat and are incredibly nice. We will definitely return next year.

This was my second stay at La Palmerraie Garden Suite with my 8 year old twins. Very clean and plenty of space for the 3 of us. Grabbed a couple of boogie boards from Mike, and played in the ocean for 3 days. Parking spot was a nice perk. Full kitchen saved us from eating all our meals out. Shopping, movies, bowling, restaurants all nearby. Thanks!

My Husband and I really enjoyed our stay at La Palmeraie. We appreciated the beautiful linens and Egyptian cotton towels. Our unit was spotless. We were very surprised to see all of the gourmet condiments stocked in our kitchen and all of the cooking utensils. The owner was very courteous and was always around when we needed him. We had our own private enclosed courtyard which was great since we brought along our dog and he could roam around without having to tie him up. The beautiful sandy beach was only a 2 minute walk away which was very convenient since we could walk back and forth to our unit without getting in a car. And my husband who doesn't like to lie on the beach very long could leave when he wanted to and didn't have to wait for me. We are both avid outdoors people and did a lot of running, roller blading and cycling (the bikes were provided). Jacksonville Beach is a great vacation spot. We would highly recommend it!

The Garden Suite is FABULOUS! Mike has a secret paradise in this place. Mike himself is great and helped us with restaurants and other needs at the blink of an eye. As far as we are concerned, we always want to stay here when visiting Jax Beach!

Mike's place was very nice. It was comfortable and everything we could want was there. The kitchen was well stocked with enough extras that we were able to pick up main ingredients and cook our meals in. Mike is super friendly and goes the extra mile to make sure you have what you need. The space was well decorated. Big supply of movies for relaxing in the evenings. It was a very nice vacation for us and our 4 year old son!

The Garden Suite is a great little hide-away. Your own private courtyard for morning coffee or evening drinks. The Suite is cozy, but ample for a couple, their two dogs and a cat. (Special thanks to Mike for providing a litter box so I didn't have to bring one!) The location is great, the property is clean and well cared for. And it's really cute! Really enjoyed our stay.

The Garden Suite was a wonderful place to stay in Jacksonville. It's seconds from the beach. Mike is great and really helpful about getting around and pointing you to the right places in the Jacksonville area. The bikes were also an awesome bonus to the Garden Suite. We rode the bikes everyday to get coffee or just check out the beaches. The secluded garden area complete with a grill, outdoor table, and hammock was wonderful as well. Thanks, Mike! Hopefully we'll make it back to Jacksonville in our travels!

The garden apartment was perfect for our short break from the northern winter. We loved all the extra amenities, the location & especially the private coutyard. Mike was a superb host - attentive but not at all intrusive. We've rented vacation places around the world and this one was outstanding.

Although the Garden Suite is compact, it is immaculate, well equipped and comfortable. Landscaping for the entire property is very well done, and there is a lovely private space for the Garden Suite. We especially appreciated the satellite television access to Canadian channels. Mike is a gem- very accessible, friendly and helpful. There is a good safe bike path on 1st (St.? Ave.?) parallel to the beach and biking on the beach was fun. We enjoyed watching the surfers - maybe we'll try next time! Nice ocean-side drive from Jacksonville Beach to St. Augustine. Easily accessible and good variety of shopping in J. Beach. Excellent shopping in outlet malls in St. Augustine.

After 14 years, with our own vacation property, on the Gulf side, we decided to see what the Atlantic side was like. We found this property on the internet and it was a very pleasant surprise. The Garden Suite has all the amenities of home, without any of the hassles. The 2 TV's were great(I didn't have to watch hockey every night!)and having Canadian satellite was especially appreciated, as was the free phone service to anywhere in Canada and the US. We even had a private garden for our 4 legged friends. We were amazed at how many restaurants there were, right within walking distance. We loved being near the beach, good shopping was close by and there was a more than adequate police presence. There is a wonderful zoo in Jacksonville and we loved St Augustine. We enjoyed our experience so much, we've booked the Garden Suite for our vacation for next year! Thanks to Mike for making our stay an enjoyable one...

We had to stay in Jacksonville for a month while Howie did some training for a new job. We were lucky enough to find this great vacation rental right near the beach. What a wonderful little piece of paradise this was! I was skeptical about booking a place to stay for a week having not seen the property, but we were in for a terrific surprise. It was better than we could have imagined. The house was clean, cool and very modern. We were able to bring our dog with no hassles. We felt very secluded from the other units on the property because you actually have your own yard- completely fenced! Just a walk to the beach or some of the local favorite restaurants... you can't beat the location. Having grown up in the area, I felt right at home! I would definitely (and highly) recommend this property to anyone thinking of visiting the Jacksonville beaches area!

All i can say is " what you see is not what you get" at La Palmeraie! It is much better!! You will feel like you found yourself a little piece of paridise. The studios are lovely! With all the right touches. My favorite part was relaxing in the hammock in the most beautiful garden. The owners are delightful and so warm and welcoming. I can't wait to come back.
