Located in the scenic Hill Country of Texas, New Braunfels is truly one of the best vacation spots. It is home to Schlitterbahn, one of the worlds largest water parks, and known for having the finest tubing, skiing, and fishing rivers in the state. Two rivers flow through this area, the Comal and the Guadalupe, which supply an endless amount of fun, relaxation, and activities.
The house is located directly on the Guadalupe River 4 miles down river from the McQueeney area. Downtown New Braunfels is just 14 minutes away. Schlitterbahn is only a 19 minutes drive from the house. Shuttle service is available to and from the house. It is located on the Lake Placid portion of the Guadalupe River. This portion of the river is constant level and is not effected by the drought. There is public access nearby for launching boats and Jet-skis. A comfortable shaded outdoor setting is provided with 20 X 20 fishing pier/over the water patio.
A swim ladder provides easy access to and from the water. On each side of the dock is a wading area with shallow water depth starting around 2 feet deep. For boaters the house also has a covered boat lift. The large yard is shaded by huge 100 plus year old pecan trees and is perfect for outdoor gatherings.
The house is extensively remodeled and new. From appliances and fixtures to linens and towels, everything is new. The main part of the house includes two bedrooms, one has a Queen-size bed and a full bath. The second has a full and two twin beds that can be pushed together for one large bed, the third bedroom is located in the guest quarters that is next to the house.
The quest quarters has a large room with two queen size beds and custom built bunk beds that consist of 2 twin size beds. The guest quarters also has a full bath, a color TV with Cable and DVD player. Access between the main part of the house and the guest quarters is partially enclosed on the sides and covered completely by the roof.
The kitchen is open to the main living area that overlooks the river. The kitchen is also all new, it features granite counter tops, all new stainless appliances and is fully stocked with cookware, dishes and utensils.
The large open living area features high vaulted ceilings, a great view, all new furnishings, fireplace and Color TV with cable/VCR/DVD and Wireless high speed internet. .
Relax on the fully shaded patio overlooking the river, BBQ on the Gas Grill, fish, play in the river or just take in the view, its all here!
RESERVATION PROCESS: Email us for a rate quote and to confirm dates are currently available. Please let us know if you wish to include the guest house. When your ready to commit to your requested dates email us stating you wish to commit to your requested dates. At that time we will confirm your dates are still available and place a temporary hold on your dates. We will then email to you a questionnaire to get additional information needed. Once we get your reply we will extend the hold on your dates and email to you our guest agreement. We will ask that you print out the agreement and mail to us a signed original copy along with a check for the $500 security deposit. Upon receipt we will email to you a confirmation and receipt for deposit. Rent is typically due 60 days before arrival. Security deposit is refundable by mail following your departure. Reservations are taken by email only so that we both have a written record of all steps throughout the process. You are welcome to call anytime with any questions you may have. We are not set up to take credit cards. Upon request we will often work with you regarding payment arrangements.

We spent the weekend before Christmas at Turtle Lane for a family reunion, even during the winter months the house was awesome. It has something for everyone, we had ages ranging from 86 - 2. A real plus was that the house is one story which made it accessible for our grandmothers. Even though it was too cold to get in the water, the kids had a great time fishing and picking up pecans. The pictures are exactly how the house looks, pristine! Also, the property management was great, very attentive to our needs. Everything met our expectations.
Recommended for:Families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children.

A 5 star. We have leased this home the last 4 years. We always have a wonderful time. It has everything you need for a restful vacation. Our grandkids have a wonderful time being on the water - fishing and paddle boating and plenty of games in the evening. Shaded back yard with the hammock is perfect for R&R. Just an absolutely beautiful home with all amentities and comforts of home. The separate apartment is a real plus. The management is always courteous and helpful.

This property was great, It was just as described and as beautiful as the pictures showed. Very peaceful and perfect. The house was very comfortable and has everything you need. This riverfront property has all you could ask for and more, me and my family spent Easter there and celebrated my 50th birthday The best birthday I have ever had. Terri and Family
