The Diamond on the Island is a home built and furnished for the traveler who demands the highest standards. It is located in the exclusive gated resort of Emerald Island which is only 3 miles from Walt Disney World. Two stop signs and two traffic lights separate you from the Disney property.
Your magical vacation starts when you see the dramatic palm tree lined entrance with the beautiful foliage leading up to the security gates. Following that, you see the dolphin fountain and the very popular Clubhouse. Then as you meander down the street past the preserved park area, you begin to understand you are in a different world.
The Diamond on the Island has 6 bedrooms and 5 ½ bathrooms with a maximum occupancy of 18. The 4 Master Suites with King Size beds and their lavish décor with private bathrooms allow several couples to have their necessary privacy. The two twin bedrooms are furnished as a boy’s room and a girl’s room.
The owners of this splendid home took every opportunity to give you and your guests the ultimate vacation luxury in your temporary home away from home. The entire house is decorated in an elegant manner with upscale furnishing providing a warm and homey atmosphere for you to enjoy.
As you enter the house, you are presented with a beautiful Conversational Burgundy Sofa and 46 inch square Balustrade Cocktail Table in the cozy Living Room. The floor here and throughout all downstairs rooms except the master bedroom is tiled that allows you and your guests to relax. A few steps in and you are at the elegant Dining Room with its Grande Balustrade Double Pedestal Dining Table and six Marietta Black Pepper upholstered chairs. In addition, the Grand Foyer Console with Marble top table provides just the right piece for the hallway going into the Kitchen and Family Room.
As you enter the Kitchen and Family Room area, you are overcome by the vaulted ceiling in the Family Room with its 18 feet long ceiling to floor drapes professionally made with the beautiful Waverly butterfly fabric and the 8 feet wide glass doors out to the pool deck from both the Kitchen and the Family Room. The two full size couches covered with comfortable microfiber cocoa fabric facing the 40 inch HDTV invite you to relax on their reclining end seats with your drinks kept on the optional pull-down center tables. The fully stocked Kitchen invites you to skip the fuss of going to restaurants and enjoy the pool and house.
You may want go out the door to the Lanai and spend some time soaking up the Florida sun. The covered 10 foot pool deck has ceiling speakers so you can enjoy music from the stereo on the Family Room Entertainment center without disrupting those inside. You could then step into the 15 x 30 foot crystal clear water of the heated pool or really relax in the 100 degree Jacuzzi or you can just lay back on one of our comfortable loungers. The pool and lanai are south facing which give you sun all day long. Of course you can stay under the covered deck if you already had enough sun. The pool has an easily removable safety fence providing extra protection for young children.
Sleeping accommodations at the Diamond on the Island are exceptional. The Cabrillo Wood Panel Bed, the Chaparral Sleigh Leather Headboard Bed and the two Montecito Iron Beds are fitted with high quality bedding sets that make sleeping a true pleasure. The Antiquity Low Post Panel Beds in the twin bedrooms offer maximum comfort for busy children. All bedrooms have Sony Trinitron TVs varying from 24 inches for the first floor Master Bedroom to 20 inch TVs in the three second floor Master Bedrooms to 13 inch TVs in the Twin bedrooms. All bedrooms as well as the Family Room have ceiling fans to provide the ultimate comfort. For those who need help in waking, each room has a clock radio.
And for the person who must do some work, the Loft has a beautiful credenza/hutch combination with a comfortable chair where any desk work with the provided computer can be done. Or you can use your laptop with the wireless Internet access.
Last but not least is the Security System that monitors and controls many different actions. If any first floor door or window is opened, a gentle chime is played to alert you. When it’s dark and you walk in the front door, the Foyer light comes on for a few minutes. The lights on the garage exterior come on after dark and stay on for a couple of hours to assist you in locating your home away from home. Several other things are monitored and if any threat occurs, an alarm is sounded and the owner is notified. The house and all of its guests are securely protected against most types of problems.
The exquisite Emerald Island Resort Clubhouse of 4,000 square feet has a heated pool and spa, fitness room, Sauna, Tiki Bar, gathering room, computers with internet access and Video game room. Outside of the Clubhouse are a playground and a volleyball court. Tennis courts and a basketball court are nearby on the Emerald Island Resort property. Across the street from the Clubhouse is the entrance to a walking trail that winds through the resort’s natural woodland setting in the center of the island.

The house was spacious and perfect for our group of 10 (7 adults and 3 children.) None of us ever felt crowded or were in each other's way. Not having been in this area for quite sometime, a lot has changed at the Theme Parks. We wanted to experience everything so we spent 2 days in Universal and 6 days at the WDW parks. Needless to say, we were exhausted every night. Coming back to the house and being able to use the pool and spa was like a slice of heaven! The body and feet were rejuvenated :) This gem of a house is in a great location. There was no shortage of markets or restaurants to choose from. I only wished we could have tried them all. Everything was close by. We didn't even need to fill up the tank until it was time to return our rental back at MCO. John was extremely helpful and thoughtful. If I had any questions, he was readily available to answer them either by phone or e-mail. He even contacted me the day before I left home and expressed his concern as we were flying down to FL right about the time Tropical Storm Isaac was approaching the Keys. I would recommend this house to families that have a large group. I will definitely rent this house again as I plan on returning to FL in 2+ years.Owner response: After renting out our home for more than 7 years, we know what the guest NEEDS and we provide that and MORE!

this house is the perfect location form any of the disney parks...10 min drivable, 5 min from urgent care centers, and numerous restaurants and stores. The area is quite so no hussle and bustle if you need to relax. We vacation in the Disney World area every year. We have rented countless houses over the years. We will re-rent this specific house from now on. It was complete and perfect in every way. I have rented five different homes in the Emerald Island community in the past few months and this was by far the best. This home offered all of the space we needed for our group. The adults and children enjoyed it equally. The location of the home is exceptional and convenient to shopping and attractions. The clubhouse is awesome and the gated community provides great peace of mind throughout your vacation. We are very likely to book this home again!Owner response: One more happy group!

What a great way to visit Orlando. It's tough to find a place to accommodate 11 people and spend quality time while the children are asleep. The Dimond on the Island is perfect, pool, spa, clubhouse, bar. And, all the Orlando attractions only minutes away. Hi John, Thank you so much for the house rental. We had a fantastic time at your house and could not have been happier with our decision to rent from you. Everything was perfect! We had our two families there with so much room we were not on top of each other and the kids really loved to unwind after a day at the parks in the pool. All of us adults really enjoyed the spa and pool as well after the kids went to bed each night! We will all be recommending your place to everyone we know that goes to Disneyworld. We had a fantastic time in this house earlier this year!! The decor and furniture is majestic and just being in this gorgeous house was a vacation within itself; it has everything you could ever want, high-end appliances, great beds, quality linens, etc. We have 4 children, from 9-17 years old. Initially we had plans of parks and attractions every day, but after enjoying our first evening by the pool on the lanai with the music playing, we decided to do the same thing the next day and just enjoyed the house and pool as we planned the rest of our week. We loved the house and will surely be back next year!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, people with disabilities, families with young children, romantic getaway.
