This home was perfect. The photos do not really do the size of each room justice. There was so much space. The basement has not only a pool table, but gym equipment and three sofas. The kids were out on the dock and saw a sting ray and two dolphins... made their week!!! We were able to invite other family members over for some dinner and there was plenty room for all. Seating for 10! Overall it was perfect and we would definitely use this place again.

What a great time we had at you home. All descriptions and pictures are exactly what you get when you arrive. We truly enjoyed the evenings in the hot tub watching the sun sets. The dock area was great as we brought our boat. My son was moving to the area so it was a great way to get him acquainted with everything. Once again, than you for letting us use you wonderful home. I would recommend it to anyone visiting the Beaufort area.

Such a wonderful way to celebrate our son's graduation from Parris Island. A house big enough for 7 family members plus our new Marine. We were very comfortable and the location was excellent - only about 10 minutes to PI. We could all be together for cooking and sharing a meal or spread out and do our own thing. The front porch was a great place to read and the dock was perfect for my son to decompress and catch some solitude while he texted his friends back home. We loved the pool table in the rec room and the views of the sun rising and the moon rising were absolutely beautiful. The property was exactly as described - clean, comfortable, spacious, with great amenities. The instructions and maps provided by the owner were very helpful in getting us back and forth to the main event. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and the rest of the family (which is pretty big now that we're a Marine family). Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

So spacious and inviting. Many amenities. I would go back to this property for a number of different occasions. Convenient to Savannah and Charleston for day trips and ideal for Parris Island graduations. It was so special to be able to share a home with our family for this special occasion and not a hotel. We were able to cook together, watch TV and chat together in the evening and the 2 teens we had disappeared and played pool for much of the stay. Beds were extremely comfy and the hot water for showers was top notch. Communication with the owner went very well. We have no complaints, only compliments!!

We were so pleased with everything about this home and yes it felt like our home while we stayed their for our sons graduation from Parris Island. Ginnie made the whole transaction so easy and the listing was very accurate as well as the directions. All of the pictures on the website were 100% spot on and the front porch was the best, we loved the swing. The all time best is what we came to call the "Book of Knowledge" Ginnie has compiled a 3 ring binder with printed out map quest directions to Parris Island and key surrounding amenities. It was wonderful to be able to choose somewhere for dinner and know that the comments from previous renters were well thought out and accurate. When you are there please be sure to go to The Corps Store and dine at Gilligan’s both are outstanding. This was a wonderful haven for us to come back to and rest and relax, we will always remember our time spent with fond memories.

We stayed at this home while visiting South Carolina for my son's graduation from Parris Island in September/ 2011. The house was beautiful, the rooms were spacious and everything we needed was right there for us. We had a lot of family joining us for the graduation and we wanted a place we could all gather so that they can all spend time with our new Marine instead of traveling between hotel rooms. After the graduation, we all spent a great day at the house where everyone enjoyed fishing, playing pool and just relaxing. My new Marine thoroughly enjoyed being where it felt like home! We plan on staying there next year when we travel back there for another graduation. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to stay in your beautiful home!!

Thank you so much for making your home available for this rental. Our daughter was so surprised and happy that when she was finally able to leave Parris Island, she was able to spend quality time with family, in a beautiful and comfortable setting. With only a 10-15 minutes drive (and that includes the slow-downs for construction!) in a pretty linear direction to Parris Island, the house is conveniently situated for the family of graduating recruits or for family visiting permanent party stationed there. Our family came from Washington, Arizona, California, Florida and Texas for this event. Being able to enjoy Beaufort without hotel-motel drama truly lifted the weights from our shoulders. Rarely do pictures tell a true story about a place, but the photos and descriptions presented here are very accurate. The house is beautiful and well maintained, and carried that comfort that can only be found in a Home. In addition, the owners were pleasant and easy to work with and very responsive. We would happily rent from them again if our travels have us returning to the Beaufort area.

We stayed in the house for our son's October 2010 USMC Graduation at Parris Island. The house is very roomy and comfortable. The rec room downstairs was a big hit with our son's friends. The property is gorgeous and the location is very convenient to Parris Island and shopping. We've stayed at other vacation rentals over the years but everyone agreed that this was the nicest one.

My family stayed on this property in August '10 when we traveled to Beaufort for the funeral of our grandmother. Since ours was not a pleasant vacation, I wanted someplace homey and soothing for us. This house just felt "right". It was homey, lovingly decorated, convenient, spacious, and beautiful, and was exactly what we needed. The house seems to have an aura of family and happiness about it, clearly there were a lot of good times had here over the years by the family. Mema would have loved it, and it made us all feel at home. Thank you, thank you thank you for allowing us to rent your home, and please don't ever change it!

When I woke up (at home in MD) on Monday morning, I realized I'd been dreaming I was still at your house - and I was sorely disappointed!! Yes, it was so wonderful to see our son after all these months. There was not a dry eye among us when we finally got to hug him! He is thrilled with his decision to join the Marines and we're so happy for him. I wrote in the Journal book on your coffee table, but I was tired and in a hurry, so I don't think I expressed myself very well. Your home and property are so amazing. The kids loved the dock, the pool table and the basketball area. The adults loved the hot tub and the front porch. And I could live in the master bath! We appreciated all the helpful info, directions and pamphlets in the binder, and the guest pass to Hunting Island State Park. We loved everything about our visit to SC. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. We were fascinated by the effect of the tide on the river, and the foliage, which is so different from our area. We even went to the beach on Saturday and had a great time. We couldn't believe how warm the ocean was! In Maryland, the ocean is not that warm - even in August! If we're ever in your area again, we will definitely contact you! (We have 3 sons who are younger than Tim, our new Marine, and they are all very impressed with their brother, so it's possible that we'll be going back!) Many, many thanks!

The front porch was nice but my favorite was the dock. I drank my coffee there in the morning. We had two boats and went out a bunch. Did some fishing but didn't have any luck, but didn't care. Your home was terrific! It has everything we needed and then some. It was just like being at home. The house was very clean and comfortable. The hot tub was wonderful and very relaxing after a long day at Parris Island Marine Corps Depot. I enjoyed it so much, that I plan to purchase one in the near future. We had no trouble finding it and it was very convenient to everything. The views of the river and pier were great. The front porch is awesome and the flowers are just beautiful. Out of all the places I've stayed before, yours was truly the BEST. We called our friends and family back home and told them how nice it was. I absolutely loved it. I would recommend your home to anyone visiting Beaufort or Parris Island. Should I plan to visit the Beaufort area again, I will definitely want to stay at Moore's Cozy Haven again!!! We enjoyed doing a little fishing on the dock and the pool table was a huge hit. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes and even had condiments, zip locks, water etc. We bought and left extras for the next renters. We did not have the opportunity to use the internet connection as we left our laptop at home ( but wish we would have brought it). The directions were great, and found the house with no problem. The Guest book with local info was super as well. We ordered out our first night there. We also appreciated the directions to Walmart, Parris Island etc. We used the front porch the most and absolutely enjoyed it as well. Thank you again for allowing us to check in early, even tho we didn’t arrive until nearly 4pm anyway. I will definitely recommend your home on the yuku website for Parris Island.Again Thank you

The kids liked the pool table and board games. The bird watching was great- southern bald eagles, wood storks, egrets, osprey, and the house woodpecker in the front tree. There were plenty of supplies to meet our needs and the checking in and out was very easily done. I appreciated the black book with all the directions in it. It made getting back and forth to Parris Island so easy. My brother did use the internet connection and he did not have any problems with that. Unfortunately with our limited time and busy schedule with graduation ceremonies, we did not utilize the kitchen for cooking. As far as the hot tub, my brother and his wife briefly enjoyed it one evening. They had no complaints and they seemed to really enjoy it. Thanks again for providing such a wonderful home for us to stay in. If we ever find ourselves in the area again we will not hesitate checking to see if the house if available.

we rented this house for to see are son graduate from the marine corp. what a place, i will never forget it also we seen flipper swimming every day off the dock. i will return again soon. thanks the clelland family.

Taken from email sent to homeowner: We have safely arrived back in Miami after our trip to Beaufort. PI graduation was great, and we very much enjoyed our stay in your beautiful home. Especially memorable was the view from the dining room and the sunset on the dock! The kids spent a lot of time in the basement and really enjoyed the pool table, and we all loved having room to spread out and relax during the down times from the graduation festivities. Everyone said over and over how much better this was than a hotel :-) Our new Marine especially liked how quiet it was, away from the city noise, and giving him a mental rest from the sounds of boot camp. Thanks again for making the house available. I would not hesitate to recommend it to other new Marine families for their graduation lodging.

We really enjoyed the convenience of the location. It was so nice to be able to cook and eat here instead of restaurants for every meal! Taken from guestbook at house: We really enjoyed the house, it was like on a postcard! It was in a great place, close to PI for my brother's graduation, and close to town. The kids really enjoyed the pool table and everyone loved the hot tub. We didn't fish on the dock but it was really cool. Second comment from guestbook: The family came together for my nephew's graduation. He made his family so proud and he looks so great in his Marine uniform. We spent the weekend in this wonderful house just listening to his stories about boot camp and catching up on all the family news. The family enjoyed everything about this house and made beautiful memories while we were here. The view is great! What a beautiful backdrop to our many moments of laughter and conversation around the BBQ. The young cousins enjoyed building a fort under the steps and playing "Marines". The big kids and "old" men played football in the front yard. What a hoot they were as the women watched from the front porch. When we leave here our family will go our separate ways and will cherish this time together forever. Thanks for the role you played in our moments together. Our prayer is that all of the young men and women that celebrated their graduation in this house, that they are alive and well today. Our thanks to them for their service to this great country!

Thank you so much for your hospitality.... it was so nice to bring our new Marine to your house. He was able to just relax (for the first time in 3 months) and enjoy family. We had dinner at the house and enjoyed the hot tub. We all had a nice time. The front yard was so pretty. Our only regret is that we didn't have more time to enjoy the house and the dock. My younger son (he's 14 years old) just loved the dock and really wanted to fish... we just didn't really have the time -- or the bait. Loved everything-- thank you again so much.
