Disappointing unit! Drapery rod in the master bedroom was broken, & would not close the drape. Worked with it until we got it closed and tied up the broken end with a wire tie. Maintenance came to fix the rod after I reported it to the office but could not do anything with it and said the rod was too flimsy to hold such a heavy drape. He also said the office attempted to contacted you but did not get a response while we were there. That drape stayed closed the rest of the week (so much for a view from the bedroom). The condo was very dusty, and the air filter in the HVAC unit was 1/2 inch thick with dust. Everyone was sneezing, eyes puffy, and coughing after sleeping the first night. I complained to the office, and they sent maintenance to change out the air filter and sent the cleaning ladies back to clean. We had to point out to them to clean the ceiling fan blades and dust the slats on the headboard in both bedrooms (caked with dust); however, they would not vacuum under the bed. We found a black box from Ray Ban sunglasses in the guest bed! I had to clean out the coffee maker as it was black inside the water reservoir. The ice dispenser is frozen to the point that no ice will come out of the door. The tray in the ice/water dispenser in the freezer door had mold collecting on it. The carpet needs cleaning or replacing as it is very dirty and stained. The sheer curtain in the guest bedroom does not seem appropriate as people walking by can see into that bedroom. The smoke alarm was going off during the night and day. The alarm company was "testing" the alarms during the day one day, too, which was unsettling. Our privacy was interrupted by the cleaning crew, maintenance people, the alarm company checking alarms, and the sprinkler company checking the sprinkler heads. We were not rested nor relaxed when we left. The unit should be clean and in good repair if it is on a rental program. You might also consider moving the items in the master suite closet (armoire, TV, stereo, broken stool) and put in some type bedroom furniture with drawers for clothing. You need to change the list of amenities on the VRBO listing to reflect that there is no phone, no internet service, ice dispenser does not work, and the DVD player in the bedroom is not hooked up. I have requested a refund of the cleaning fee and at least one night's rental as a result of all we had to endure during our stay, but the owner is not responsive!Did you find this review helpful?
