About this property

Farmhouse On The River

This is a 3 bedroom, 1 bath farmhouse that is located on a 30 acre certified organic farm within the Eugene city boundaries. The farm has over 2,000 feet of frontage on the Willamette River.
The farmhouse has been redone but still has the original wooden floors, a fireplace and it is on its own 2 acre lot. Note, it is a home from the 50's and is nice and spacious but is not a deluxe luxury accommodation. There's no DVD player, big screen TV etc.... but there is a beautiful, quiet setting for you to enjoy (and fast wifi for streaming).

Each room is decorated with furniture and items from the owner's years of living overseas.

Guests are free to walk to the river (about a 3-4 minute walk), see the horse stables, visit the organic farm (or even pitch in and help if they desire!)

Unique property with lots of possibilities! We were thrilled to find an affordable place to stay as Eugene was sold out for UO family weekend. Bring your own pillows if you are driving in. The house and furnishings are tired. It’s all very oddly decorated and old and not particularly comfortable, but a place to sleep which is what we needed. The pillows, bedding, drapes and living room furniture desperately need replacing. Hosts were extremely communicative and very thoughtful.

Very nice place
We really enjoyed our time and the place is beautifully located near riverfront access. It is a real farm-house clean but dont expect super modern. It is interesting to see the international ties. The people are very nice so recommend this place!

Farmhouse get away
Great location near Eugene, but sure felt like your miles away on a farm. Great front porch to sit and drink your morning coffee while listening to farm wake up. Fun to experience living on working farm. This is a true country farmhouse experience with acres of gardens, rosters, chickens, pigs, goats, horses, ducks, turkeys, dogs, cats etc, not a resort style accommodation. Fun to walk around farm, talk to farm crew and easy walk to river.

I am a "semi retired" educator who has had the great experience of living and working overseas for the 16 years. I ran the farm from afar and came and worked all summer each year to try and keep things up (it didn't work very well :>).

Now, I am home and loving being able to work the land and live on this beautiful piece of property year round.

I live on the property further back.. My son and my mother, who's 90 years young work here most days and we have Wwoofers (from the World Wide Organization of Organic Farms) who live here for various lengths of time to learn farming.

Why they chose this property

It's unique. It is a working certified organic farm and it has beautiful river frontage. I have also decorated the house with items that I obtained while living abroad. (Please note that it's about a 3-4 minute walk to the river's edge from the house).

Guests can observe a real working farm and buy fresh, organic produce right from the farm!

What makes this property unique

A person can bike from here easily and/or hike the property or the old boat landing at the end of the road. It's a unique opportunity to visit a farm and see all of the animals and crops.
