Wine Down is a privately owned and loved home located in Seacrest Beach. (you deal directly with the owners, no rental companies).
Some things that set our home apart --
*open floor plan - large living room and good size bedrooms.
*short walk to the great 12,000 square foot pool with waterfalls (a favorite with kids)
*within walking distance to several unique restaraunts and shops in Seacrest, Rosemary and Alys Beach. Don't miss the Sugar Shack, the playground at Alys Beach and La Cocina in Seacrest - great margaritas!
*wireless internet - so if you have to work on vacation, this is the perfect house for you. Just bring your laptop :)
*baby items at the house include graco pack n play, a baby gate, a child bed rail, and a baby booster seat for the dining room for your convenience. Traveling with little ones is tough so this is four less things you need to bring!
*2 adult bikes - bring your own helmet and ride up and down the miles of sidewalks and trails along 30-A.
About the neighborhood: Seacrest Beach is known for its 12,000 sq. foot pool, sidewalks and friendly neighborhood feel. The pool offers 2 sets of bathrooms, lounge chairs that surround the pool and tables for a picnic lunch. There is a FREE shuttle service to and from the beach that can can pick you up with one phone call.
About the house:
When you enter the house, you'll see 10 foot ceilings and an open floor plan that leads into a living room that is comfortable for watching TV or reading a book. The spacious kitchen is equipped with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances and is great for large parties. Beyond the kitchen is a back deck perfect for grilling out or rinsing off in the outdoor shower after a day at the beach. The dining room provides seating for 6 plus 4 more seats at the bar adjacent to the dining room table. There is also a game table with checkers and other games to enjoy with family and friends. The first floor also offers a bedroom at the main level with a queen size bed and private bathroom (perfect for family members that cannot climb stairs).
The second floor includes a master bedroom (king size bed) which opens up onto a private porch great for reading a book or watching the susnset. The master bathroom includes a jacuzzi tub, large private shower and a large vanity. Bedroom #3 includes 2 twin beds a large open porch and a TV/VCR and is great for kids. Bedroom #4 includes a full size bed and shares a bathroom with bedroom #3.

There were a few very minor glitches like a little key challenge, a few litebulbs out, the complimentary bikes had chain n seat problems, and the remotes needed batteries BUT... the home, the neighborhood, the pool, and the weather more than made up for the few minor inconveniences. PLUS our Host/ owner was very helpful w/ th key dealio. We rented 2 bikes for near 30 hours at $15 each! Also, I bought batteries and litebulbs to help out. We will go back for sure as my family says WOW to this vacation area calld 30A !!!!!!!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children.

Wine Down was the perfect vacation home for our family with 3 generations and our mini schnoodle, which made our vacation even better! The wide front porch had ample relaxation space as well as room for strollers, boogie boards, and sandals. The railings were the perfect place to hang wet towels to keep the sand and water outside! The bikes were an added plus, and the many TVs kept the boys entertained when we weren't at the awesome pool or the beach. Your home was very comfortable and had all the amenities we needed to just relax and not get into a car for a whole week. Thanks for sharing your lovely home with us - can't wait to return!

This is a very nice house which is kid friendly. We enjoyed riding the bikes and pulling the kids around in the wagon we brought. It is about a 4-5 minute walk to the pool. The resort's beach tram did run after Labor Day - you just had to call them. Thanks for a great time!

Thank you Ann for so easy to work with. Your house was exactly what we were wanting. Your house was very clean and decorated beautifully. We could not have asked for a better price. Although we have never met, I feel like we know each other. We rented for 5 nights with another family. We will definitely be back soon.
