  Myrtle Beach is my favorite place in the world to vacation. I have stayed in Ocean Lakes before but was never as satisfied as I was with this house. Everything was as advertised - very clean, well kept, and while you cannot see the ocean I could hear the ocean waves from the balcony in the early morning. The owner was great to deal with - I planned this vacation at the last minute and they never missed a beat getting everything reserved and in place. It was great to have the golf cart included and also to have the secure wi fi. The house is just a short walk to the beach. Great location, great time, I'll rent this house again!

  We have camped in Ocean Lakes for a few years but decided this year to try something different and look for a rental. What a positive experience. From the minute we walked in the door it was just like being home. It's so roomy and everything is so clean. We stayed for 8 days and enjoyed every day .... if only the weather had been better. Being a lighthouse collector, I personally liked the nautical theme of the house. There are TV's, VCRs and telephones in every bedroom and I can see how this would be a plus for people with children. It also came in handy for us a couple of times when we wanted to watch something different. This house is exactly as described The beds were very comfortable and the area very quiet. Although just a short walk to the beach is was nice having use of the golf cart to transport all the chairs, towels, coolers etc. Also a big plus for just looking around different areas of the park without having to use our truck. All the appliances worked perfectly and it was nice to be able to get some laundry done before returning home. The owner Deb was easy to deal with while setting up the rental and I was quite comfortable in knowing everything would have been looked after had we had any problems. We would definitely have no reservation in staying in this property again in the future. It was a very positive experience. Even the drive down and home was less stressful when not pulling a trailer.

  Nice clean house, well stocked with kitchen equipment and it is a short walk to beach access. House is also located away from the "main drag" where nightly cruising occurs, which is great... unless you like being stuck in bumper to bumper golf cart traffic for a couple hours. We were comfortable with 5 adults and 4 teens in this house. Owners approachable, good folks -- hope to visit one of their properties again someday!

  I brought my 2 kids, and 2 friends to stay for a few days. The description of this property was right on. It was clean, plenty of room for the 5 of us. The distance to the beach is a very short walk. There were ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms, and living room so the air could circulate nicely and not have to turn down the A/C so low for it to be comfortable. I would definately recommend this property!

  I am writing this review sitting in the livingroom of this unit. As I said in the subject line this unit is exactly as advertised. The unit is a great one for a family of 3 to 6, 2 bathrooms are enough for everyone to get ready to go out. The outside shower is a godsend when we come back from the beach covered in sand and salt. Unit is very clean, but will need new paint in the future. Everything in the unit works and there are fans in every room to make the central air conditioning even more effective. I would recommend this unit and property owner, who was great to deal with.

  We stayed in this house from august 30 to september 5th and had a great time, the house was small but very clean, everything worked as it should the A/C was cool and it has everything you could think of in the kitchen. I would say you could sleep 6 very comfortable or more but it would be tight. We were able to bring our 2 dogs with us but Myrtle beach does not allow them on the beach from 7 A.M to 5 P.M. till after September 15th so keep that on your list if you have a 4 legged family member. This would be a great place to stay if you are coming from another part of the country as you do not need a car, Ocean Lakes has it all, they have a store on the property, 24 hour security, the owner provides a Golf Cart and that is all you need to get around. They have a food stand by the Sandy Mart, a nice playground off the beach and lakes you can fish in inside the campground. There is a fishing pier just down the road, I would suggest the state park as its cheaper and you can enjoy the park in addition to fishing. the surfside pier cost about 10 dollars a person and you have to pay to park. Overall I loved staying here the owners are wonderful folks and we plan to stay in the house again next year.

  We've rented this house with our four year old daughter for a week the last two falls. Everything was in good condition and clean. The description provided of the property is accurate. The one time we had a problem, which was our fault, the owners took care of it. It's a short walk to the beach and Ocean Lakes Campground is great. There are indoor and outdoor pools, two playgrounds, a nice little nature center and as much beach as you could possibly want. Myrtle Beach offers several quality attractions. We've enjoyed the Aquarium, Brookgreen Gardens, a boat tour with Captain Dick's, Broadway by the Beach and visited both State parks nearby. We would definitely recommend this place to friends.
