This is a very well maintained 1 story raised beachhouse that we own in the Holiday Inn section of Ocean Lakes.Our 3 bedroom, 2 bath raised beach house on stilts is a short walk 100 steps to the beach is located in "Ocean Lakes ", which is a family-oriented, 24-hour gated, security and patrolled community with a multitude of amenities. Ocean Lakes is located in Myrtle Beach and is the most complete Oceanfront campground on the East coast.
With nearly a mile of privately owned beachfront,it features eight fresh water lakes,a recreaction center with supervised activities for children such as day camps,fire engine rides,playground activities. Facilities on site in the campground include a heated indoor pool and outdoor Olympic size pool with three kiddie pools including the popular Splash Zone.,golf cart rental,three snack bars and a arcade with 80+ games,a outdoor theatre with scheduled events,playgrounds, basketball, shuffle board, miniature golf,Golf Privileges at Preswick and a full-time recreation staff, and a mile of beach all within the community grounds.
Our house is located on site 1159 in the very popular Holiday Inn section of Ocean Lakes which is closest to the ocean in Ocean Lakes and a 2 minute walk to the ocean .Don't be fooled by others that don't list their site number as they are farther back in the park and you would have to rent a golf cart to go to the Ocean instead of just walking and you might be next to Highway 17 business.
It is a one-story raised beach house that has a large deck that spans the entire length of the house. The living room, dining room and kitchen is a open floor plan design with a high vaulted ceiling. The sofa bed in the living room is a sleeper that converts to a queen bed.There is a 27 inch television with a DVD player located in the living room.
The fully equipped kitchen has a refrigerator with a ice maker, dishwasher, and microwave mounted above the stove.There is a blender,toaster,crockpot etc in the kitchen. There is also a washer and dryer located off the main hallway. This unit will sleep 9 people total. There are 2 bedrooms with Queen size beds and 1 has a Master Bath located off the bedroom and also has a outside door to the deck. The 2nd Queen bedroom has a 20 inch color television in it with dvd player. The 3rd bedroom has a bunk bed combo in it that has a full bed on the bottom and a twin bed on top. There is covered parking located below the house.There is also an outdoor shower and a gas barbecue.There is free high speed WIFI in the house so bring your laptop.
All you have to do is bring your linens and paper products.If you don't want to carry sheets and towels I can provide them for a additional $35.00.Cleaning products are provided to for you to clean at departure or a cleaning service is available at a additional charge of $75.00 DURING THE SUMMER MONTHS FROM 6/1-9/1 TAKING DEPARTURE CLEANING IS MANDATORY..I also have a Graco pack and play and highchair available if needed. Please note that because Ocean Lakes is a family-oriented community the rental of this house is intended for couples and families and not a group of young singles and you must be 25 years of age to rent this house.Upon arrival at Ocean Lakes you will need to register your vehicle and pay Ocean Lakes directly $5.00 per day for parking pass.
All summer weeks are weekly rentals Saturday to Saturday.

Check out time is 10:00 am
A $400 rental deposit that is counted towards your rental amount and a signed contract is required for booking and if current with your rental payments and you would have to cancel and I am able re-rent the unit then all your money would be returned except for a $50 administration fee.
Hurricane policy is if a mandatory evacuation is ordered your unused portion will be refunded.
Refundable damage /security deposit on the house and golf cart combined is $500 April-Sept and $400 Oct-March .This is not due till 1 week before arrival and is refunded back 1 week after departure and can be put on a credit/debit card as a hold the same way the major hotels do.

Nice clean house, well stocked with kitchen equipment and it is a short walk to beach access. House is also located away from the "main drag" where nightly cruising occurs, which is great... unless you like being stuck in bumper to bumper golf cart traffic for a couple hours. We were comfortable with 5 adults and 4 teens in this house. Owners approachable, good folks -- hope to visit one of their properties again someday!
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

I brought my 2 kids, and 2 friends to stay for a few days. The description of this property was right on. It was clean, plenty of room for the 5 of us. The distance to the beach is a very short walk. There were ceiling fans in all of the bedrooms, and living room so the air could circulate nicely and not have to turn down the A/C so low for it to be comfortable. I would definately recommend this property!

I am writing this review sitting in the livingroom of this unit. As I said in the subject line this unit is exactly as advertised. The unit is a great one for a family of 3 to 6, 2 bathrooms are enough for everyone to get ready to go out. The outside shower is a godsend when we come back from the beach covered in sand and salt. Unit is very clean, but will need new paint in the future. Everything in the unit works and there are fans in every room to make the central air conditioning even more effective. I would recommend this unit and property owner, who was great to deal with.

We stayed in this house from august 30 to september 5th and had a great time, the house was small but very clean, everything worked as it should the A/C was cool and it has everything you could think of in the kitchen. I would say you could sleep 6 very comfortable or more but it would be tight. We were able to bring our 2 dogs with us but Myrtle beach does not allow them on the beach from 7 A.M to 5 P.M. till after September 15th so keep that on your list if you have a 4 legged family member. This would be a great place to stay if you are coming from another part of the country as you do not need a car, Ocean Lakes has it all, they have a store on the property, 24 hour security, the owner provides a Golf Cart and that is all you need to get around. They have a food stand by the Sandy Mart, a nice playground off the beach and lakes you can fish in inside the campground. There is a fishing pier just down the road, I would suggest the state park as its cheaper and you can enjoy the park in addition to fishing. the surfside pier cost about 10 dollars a person and you have to pay to park. Overall I loved staying here the owners are wonderful folks and we plan to stay in the house again next year.

We've rented this house with our four year old daughter for a week the last two falls. Everything was in good condition and clean. The description provided of the property is accurate. The one time we had a problem, which was our fault, the owners took care of it. It's a short walk to the beach and Ocean Lakes Campground is great. There are indoor and outdoor pools, two playgrounds, a nice little nature center and as much beach as you could possibly want. Myrtle Beach offers several quality attractions. We've enjoyed the Aquarium, Brookgreen Gardens, a boat tour with Captain Dick's, Broadway by the Beach and visited both State parks nearby. We would definitely recommend this place to friends.
