Come stay at this secluded log cabin with incredible views. Kick back on the oversize deck, relax in the hot tub after a day of hiking, skiing, or sightseeing, and enjoy the 50 plus mile views. This cabin is approximately 20 minutes from Boone and West Jefferson. All four ski resorts are 25-45 minutes away. The Blue Ridge Parkway is a stones throw away and we use it as the way into Boone and Blowing Rock. We are located at the end of a half mile gravel road at approximately 4000 feet elevation on six plus secluded acres.
There is a full kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, range, coffee maker and toaster oven. Two bedrooms downstairs (one king and one queen) each with private bath. There are two lofts. One with two twin beds and the other is set up as a reading room with a queen sofa sleeper. The Lofts overlook a vaulted beamed living room with a stone wood burning fireplace (firewood provided), and Satellite TV. New DSL Internet service.
Heart of Pine floors and beadboard panelling add to the atmosphere. Four french doors (two from living and one from each bedroom) lead out to a 900 square foot deck with patio furniture, hot tub and gorgeous sunrises above the fog covered valleys below.
We are very kid friendly with video games in the loft, Billiards, ping pong, and darts in the garage, and don’t forget Tweetsie Railroad is only 25 minutes away.

Heaven Sent was exactly that "Heaven Sent". My husband, two teenage sons and I enjoyed the cabin. It was everything we hoped it would be. It was cozy, warm, clean and beautiful. We enjoyed building a fire in the fireplace each and every day. The hot tub was a perfect way to end each day. The garage housed the pool table, ping pong table and wood burning stove and created hours of entertainment for the boys each evening. The cabin had everything we needed to feel like we were at home. The owners are the most helpful people and made sure our trip would be perfect by offering all their recommendations for shopping, dining and entertainment. It was a wonderful family vacation and I can't wait to do it again next year!

A weekend away from "the race"

We booked the cabin for a short, 2 night weekend away from the hectic pace of a life with 3 active boys! It was perfect - no schedules to follow - just whatever the day brought! The cabin has a great fireplace that we used both nights. The hot tub was a huge hit with the boys! The loft area was my 11 year old's "retreat" - I think he climbed that ladder 100 times! We enjoyed the surrounding areas - Boone, Grandfather Mountain, the Blue Ridge Parkway - all just absolutely beautiful! We'll be back for sure!

We rented Heaven Scent for a long romantic weekend (4 nights) in Oct. for the purpose of getting away, catching the beautiful colors of the fall leaves and joining our ASU daughter at a Appalachian State Football game. Our youngest daughter (15yo) and a friend joined us for a couple of nights via bus from Greensboro and we all had a fantastic time. The cabin is cozy and well appointed with plenty of room, a great hot tub and fireplace and fabulous views. We spent every night sitting out watching the stars and 1 morning drinking hot chocolate watching the sun rise all in the hot tub!!!. It was a wonderful trip and we hope to go back again. Thank you.

My family and I Loved the cabin! It was clean and cozy with a Fabulous view! Our stay was during the peak of the leaf-color change for fall, (highly recommended time to visit) and the huge back deck made a perfect place to observe and we had a nice cookout on the provided grill. The colors of the leaves were beautiful. And the hot tub was relaxing after long days exploring Boone and surrounding areas. We saw deer everyday around the property and they almost seemed "used to people" it was a sight to see! We plan on returning sometime in the spring. Thanks again for providing a great place!
