  My wife and I and our 4 children stayed here for a week in Can Burgues. I can't say enough good things about this place. The kids had a ball, they loved the heated swimming pool, table tennis, pool table, football in the orchard, play park for the younger ones, feeding the animals, etc.. Josep and the Margenat family were very welcoming and friendly even having a wood fire burning in the house for us when we arrived. The little town has everything you need, supermarkets, chemist, restaurants, cafes, banks and various shops. The house had everything that you need, we cooked for about half the time we were here and ate out the other half. It is only about 35 minutes into Barcelona City and Santa Eulalia de Roncana is a good base for visiting other places such as Girona in the North and Figueres where the Salvador Dali Theatre/Museum is located- only 1.5 hours drive, I recommend going the mountain route through Vic. Don't bother with a Sat-Nav here as it doesn't work! The road system is good and it is fairly easy to find your way around with a decent map anyway. This is one place I would definitely consider returning to in the future. Adéu

  We visit Can Burgues during Easter 2011. It is a lovely place and friendly atmosphere with all opportunities for children to play and the adults to relax. The pool is very nice and heated (above 25 degrees). Josep and his family was very kind and helpful. The apartment was large, clean and fully equipted. The only thing that could have been better would be a longer stay :o) We will definitely come back one day. Best to Josep and his family

  We spent a perfect week at this property although it was too short. The house and surroundings were beautiful and comfortable. The facilities in the house were good and those outside were excellent. Everything was clean and in working order. The pool and surrounds were gorgeous. Lovely outside kitchen and eating area with barbecue. Also, the abiiity to stroll around the orchard and see the farm animals was lovely. The location was excellent for trips to Barcelona (local bus available) and the coast. Easy to get to beautiful national park and Montserrat. The owner was warm, friendly and welcoming. Very helpful with any queries. Variety of supermarkets within walking distance; also bakeries and an excellent restaurant. I would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone.

  Had a nice week, all four of us, in late September this year in Can Burgues in Santa Eulalia, Catalunya. Our host Josep Margenat recommeded close by places to visit - Montserrat, Caldes de Montbui and town of Vic to mention in addition to Barcelona where we spent for a couple of days. Josep even booked us a visit to famous Godorniu cava-house not far away from Santa Eulalia by car. Our accommodation at Can Burgues was perfect for us. You had everything you need at hand for daily life. In a near by restaurat, the name of which I unfortunately don't recall - just the opposite of the main street when coming from Can Burgues, a young chef served us, when asking, a real full local menu at a very decent price. After that I felt I'm not able to take anything for a couple of days. But miracles happen and in the morning it was quite ok to start with a good breakfast made in our well equipped kitchen. The Margenat family was taking good vare of the guests and certainly can recommend Can Burgues for anyone who like to shuttle from there by car into different places in Catalunya or to stay by the comfortable pool area of the house.   En vacances pour une période de 15 jours chez Josep, nous avons été chaleureusement acceuillis, tout nous a été expliqué pour que notre séjour se passe bien et ce furent 15 jours de repos et de bien être, la grande piscine éclairée pour les bains de nuit, la possibilité d'y faire des BBQ, du ping pong entre deux baignades, badminton, volley, vélos mis à dipo etc. Nous allions donner à manger aux animaux de la ferme et nous avions la possibilité d'acheter des oeufs frais et des légumes. A proximité (5 min.à pied) il y a tout ce dont on a besoin avec des magasins d'alimentation où l'on trouvait de tout, pharmacie et autres boutiques et restaurants. Josep et sa famille ont été très disponibles pour que l'on ne manque de rien et ont toujours été très discrêts. Quand à l'entretien du gîte et de la propriété, il n'y a rien à dire, c'est très soigné et propre. C'est un endroit qui mérite d'être connu d'un grand nombre de touristes qui veulent passer des moments au calme en famille tout en étant à proximité de la mer et de Barcelone sans avoir les inconvénients des grandes villes. Que du bonheur, nous y retournerons et surtout, nous le conseillerons à tout notre entourage.

  We had at Can Burgues a great holyday. The place is beautiful, the main building dates even from the 13th century and the atmosphere is very cosy and relaxing. The flat we had had everything that we needed, from the smallest things in the kitchen up till washing machine and clothes Dryer. All of the things are very clean; you’ll feel very comfortable comparing with a hotel. Directly to the pool that by the cold weather was warmed, there is a little place where one can play billiard, another one with tennis table and a great grill place. For somebody that wants to relax in a quiet place, especially for families with little kids I can strongly recommend the place. The kids can come there close to many animals by the farm, from horses and the funny pig up till fishes and a lot of species of birds. The Family Margenat is very friendly and open; they help with a lot of information about all you want to know about the Catalonia. In the same time they offer a lot of intimacy and respect, you will feel in their home like in your own one. A lot of materials about the neighbourhood (in English, French, Spanish) you’ll also find in the flat: maps, guides, newspapers. For the young people that mostly come to see a lot from Barcelona and have fun by the clubs in the town, the place is a little far. Due to the crowdie town you need time in order to reach important points. In this case is great if you are by car. licriti

  Accueil chaleureux par Josep et sa famille, toujours prêts à répondre à vos questions, à vous renseigner sur les sites touristiques, très serviables. Le gîte et la propriété sont très bien entretenus. Le gîte est grand, avec tous les équipements nécessaires. A 100 m du gîte, vous trouverez tous les magasins nécessaires, ainsi qu'une ligne de bus pour vous rendre au centre de Barcelone en 40 mn, ultra pratique. Nous y retournerons avec plaisir mais cette fois-ci en été pour profiter de la piscine.
