Lake views abound in 5 rooms: from a veranda style living room, to the great room with a high rustic beamed ceiling and dining area, to the fully equipped kitchen and the two screened in porches. Framed by many mature trees enjoy the lakeside stone patio, hammock, kayak. BBQ with real charcoal. Kayak across the 74 acre lake and enjoy a "spa" day at The Omega Institute for the tennis courts, beach, meditation sanctuary, café, dining hall, hiking trails, or a fabulous massage at the wellness center.
Less than 2 hours from Manhattan, our location is conveniently located just 15 minutes to Rhinebeck, famous for its restaurants and quaint shops. The train station is just another 5 minutes from there. However we recommend that you drive or rent a car because there are so many events and activities to enjoy near by. Where to begin? There are many published guides, menus and other sources are on the internet searchable by Hudson Valley, Hudson River and Rhinebeck, NY.
Fully equipped and up dated kitchen with dishwasher,
garbage disposal and compactor, toaster oven, microwave, gas stove.
IMPORTANT: There is no washer & dryer on site. Cell phone service is spotty.
There is no linen service so you will need to bring your own towels and sheets.
The change in services has been reflected in the new rental and cleaning fees.
Two smallish bed rooms with queen beds in each, plus a sofa sectional that transforms into a very comfortable double bed with firm solid foam. The bath is traditional with a tub/shower. Linens and towels are not provided, you will have to bring your own. A pet is welcome on a case by case basis. The property is not appropriate for very small children because the lake is not fenced off.

a magical and beautiful place to spend the summer! coming from the city --- the minuted we arrived we experienced deep relaxation by just staring at the enchanting view of the lake from the cozy living room and the lake-front garden. we took the small boat and traveled across the water to the Omega Retreat and swam by Omega beach, or sat by the dock, and had lovely cookout...we didn't want to ever leave! Steve is great! and gave us some tips and recommendation for outdoor dining ---- Great Place!!! Thank you so much Steve!

Steve, Your place was very nice with lots of unneccary, but extra amenities like wireless internet access, sound system, heated bathroom, etc. Thanks for the stay. We rarely get together with our kids, all at once and this was a fun and beautiful setting to meet. All the Best, Marvin

WE STAYED AT VILLA DE LA HOYA IN OCTOBER 2005. WHILE IT COULD USE SOME SPRUCING UP AND THE BEDROOMS ARE TINY, WE ENJOYED THE RUSTIC FEEL AND THE BEAUTIFUL LAKE VIEW. AN EXCELLENT WAY TO TAKE IN THE SIGHTS OF THE HUDSON RIVER VALLEY. IT WAS A MEMORABLE WEEK.

The house works out really well if you want to visit Omega Institute. An easy kayak, bike or car ride. The lake is beautiful, especially early morning. The house is clean and spacious. A great rental property.
