We had the privilege to spend a week at this beautiful house for our daughter's graduation from the Citadel. The pictures were good but the place itself is even better. Thanks so much. We had a wonderful week and all the family members were thoroughly impressed. Thanks again. You have a beautiful, relaxing place.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

My extended, multi-generation family spent a week at this location. Most days we stayed at the house with reading, pool and socializing, or made beach bike rides (within 1.5 miles on flat roads with little traffic) with swimming and walking on the beach. While the surrounding area is nearly fully-built with beach homes and there were other people walking or swimming at the beach, it never felt crowded and other people present made a single walker feel safe while walking or biking alone. Clean house with comfortable furniture and small but good selection of recent books; openness of kitchen and living room area facilitated conversations but also large enough that people could settle into groups; loved the "feather bed" mattress pad although my sister removed hers because she likes less cushy bedding. Neighborhood is great- quiet, well-groomed, marina nearby. We drove to downtown Charleston (~20-30 minutes depending on traffic) several nights for restaurants, and there are restaurants nearer to the house. Did not do much sightseeing although have several places on my list when we return.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family had a wonderful week in this house. The house was well maintainde, beds super comforatble, kitchen well equipped, The house was actually a touch nicer than pictured on the web site (always a nice surprise)The pool was perfect for the kids (while we sat on the porch enjoying the golfers playing through) The golf cart is a nice additoin to the property - made it very easy to get around the resort. I would positively recommend this property (especially for those that want something a little quieter than those houses close to the Grand Pavilion)Recommended for: Pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

This house was super! We had a family group and it was perfect for privacy and for the comfortable spacious public spaces. House is well maintained and clean, the beds are comfortable, had all the extras we needed and the kitchen was well appointed. We would definitely return.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Lisa, Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful house with us. While it was a little too chilly (at least for me!) to use the pool, we certainly enjoyed the house. Having the golf cart to use was a real plus. It was very relaxing sitting oin your porch watchiong the golfers go (by while enjoying our 5:00 happy hour) We took advantage of a couple of the restuarants that Beth suggested (I have to agree that The Mustard Seed was really wonderful) That was a nice touch to send the "suggested list" Again, Thank youfor letting us stay in your wonderful beach house. I would highly recommend. Sarah AnnRecommended for: Age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

This home is not "Brand new construction", as stated in the description. As stated in the VRBO comments, this house is at least 6 years old and is in desperate need of a facelift. The rugs are worn out and coming up from the floors, which could cause a hazard. The "feather beds" need replacing. They are VERY SOFT (no support), sagging on the sides and a hump in the middle. I had guests that refused to stay because the beds were so terrible! The "gourmet kitchen" is far from gourmet. The Walmart brand pots and pans need replacing. The carpet is filthy with many stains throughout the house. The sofas are also stained and need a good cleaning. We rent property frequently through VRBO and this was the first place I have stayed in such bad shape. This home was definitely not as nice as it was advertised.Did you find this review helpful? We recenly stayed at this property and were very disappointed to find that the house has not been well maintained. This house needs a thorough cleaning and fresh paint. It feels very tired and dirty. This has the potential to be a very nice rental with a bit of work. Beds wee very comfortable, kitchen was spacious and the is plenty of room for many guests.Owner response: House has been freshly painted (October 2011) and issues have been addressed. We do appreciate your responce
