Peace and quiet

My wife and I stayed at the Orchid cottage between Christmas and New Year's. Bill and Suzanne welcomed us, showed us where everything was and then we never saw them again, even though they were just the other side of the tennis court if we needed anything. The cottage was very clean and well maintained. There were plenty of towels and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, we cooked a couple of meals there and ate at restaurants in Coral Bay the rest of the time. Our favorite time of day was when we returned from snorkeling or hiking and sat on the balcony with snacks and cold drinks and just stared at the magnificent view below us of Francis Bay and over to Tortola. The good = the view, the quiet, tennis court next door for use (we both play, but never found the time between snorkeling and relaxing), the hot tub - very relaxing, and everything you need is provided in the cottage. The bad = not really bad, but the outdoor shower can be unnerving if you are shy about standing out in the open in the buff ( which is okay if it is just the two of you, but not okay if others are around) Also, the shower can be a bit brisk if there is a breeze blowing in from the north. Overall, our stay at the cottage was wonderful and we would stay there again.
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, sightseeing.
