Live like a real Argentinian - be surrounded by art, literature, music and film! This home truly feels like a HOME, but Buenos Aires style. You will be inspired just looking at the incredible art and book/music collection. Start your appreciation for art at home, then go explore Buenos Aires’ incredible museums!
The bed was incredibly comfortable, a nice touch was two firm pillows and two soft pillows for whatever your preference. We were greeted with fresh flowers, a bowl of oranges, chocolate, and coffee for the morning. The apartment was impeccably clean, the sheets were so fresh they may have been brand new and again, the bed was SO COMFORTABLE! The sunlight through the massive windows was so lovely - and a comfy reading chair invited me to sit there and relax.
The apartment is well equipped with two TVs with several English channels and all the soccer channels you could ever want. There are fans and AC’s in every room and the kitchen is well stocked with cookware, so we sometimes made our own meals. We loved the old fashioned keys (think middle age cathedral or library keys!) and a fun, old world elevator as well. We were greeted by a friendly manager who helped us book soccer tickets, made sure we had everything we needed, and even offered to get us extra groceries.
The apartment is centrally located, extremely safe with a doorman and keyed entry, with a NYC or old Europe type of feel. The street has tall trees and it is fun to sit in the chair and read while watching the dog walkers and passers-by. Just a few steps from the apartment are dozens of café’s, restaurants, shopping, and easy access to the subway and bus system.
If you like clean, inviting, artistic, authentic, friendly and an amazing location, then book here!

About the owner: My name is Flavia de la Fuente. I was born in Buenos Aires in 1959. I'm a film journalist. With my husband we directed a film magazine called 'El Amante / Cine'. Also, we directed for four years the Buenos Aires International Film Festival. Now, we live at the beach, and we run together a blog called “La lectora provisoria” where we write about films, books, life, etc.
Why the Owner Chose Palermo: My husband and I bought this apartment in 1997. We chose this neighborhood, because it's very convenient. You are near every place you need to go in town. Also, there is a subway station two blocks away, and buses and taxis are all around. Filled with cafés, restaurants, the Alto Palermo Shopping Mall and a safe atmosphere it’s a perfect place to be. We lived there very happily until 2004. Then, we decided to move to a town at the beach and spend only one month a year in Buenos Aires, in our flat. So, we decided to rent it during the rest of the year. In this way, we can afford having two homes with everything we need, one in Buenos Aires and the other in San Clemente. To manage the apartment in BA, the person in charge is my friend Mariana Ventureira.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment: It's a real Buenos Aires apartment with everything you may need in your home. Comfortable, full of light, with great beds, best quality linens, cozy, full of books and CD's, original paintings by Argentine artists. The location is great: two blocks from the subway and the Alto Palermo Shopping Mall. The maid comes twice a week.
