Keywords:  Condo, keystone, ski-in ski-out, summit county, rental condo, ski condo

An incredible location in WINTER for skiing with lift access 60 feet away, our large quiet condo is fantastic in SUMMER with windows that open to catch those soft pine-scented breezes.

SUMMER: Well, gee, there's world-class golfing right at Keystone (consistantly ranked high in national surbeys), beginner to extreme mountain biking (on those same slopes we ski on in winter!), incredible paved & hard-track recreational bike trails, horseback riding, fly-fishing, white-water rafting, galleries and factory-outlet shops, gold mines nearby, and so much more (incluing SUMMER SNOW TUBING!!!)

WINTER: Our 3 bedroom condo at Keystone is located at the Mountain House base area. The condo is about 60 feet from the Argentine and Peru ski lifts. Sixty Feet, not yards! The lifts are "right there"! We tell people how close we are to the slopes who've never been there and they still ask "how far is the shuttle"? We're like: what? The ski lift -is- your shuttle! It's like... right over "there" (picture us gesturing out the window at a ski lift). There's no shuttle you need to take! Walk out the door of the building, cross the walk, you're on the slopes. It's that easy! Really! No Kidding! There are no cars or busses or shuttles or wagons involved! Just skiing! That's what you're here for, isn't it?!?

And the Peru lift takes you right to the top of the "Area 51" terrain park, rated, like, 4th in the country by Transworld Magazine. And it's also open at night! Area 51 is the largest Night Terrain Park in Colorado. It's very cool in the daytime too: a variety of rails, funboxes, and jumplines with multiple take-offs with it's own area lift.

Skiing? Oh baby, listen to this: skiing Keystone is one of the best kept secrets of Colorado skiers! You can come and ski like a local too! Keystone features 2,870 skiable acres (larger than Breckenridge!) on three mountains with 3,128 vertical feet from base (9,280 feet) to peak (12,408 feet), 19 Lifts, 230 inches of average snowfall, short lift lines and with 116 trails with the longest run being Schoolmarm's 3.5 miles of fun the kids will go crazy over! Our kids "grew up" in Keystone's ski school... with one of the nicest set of instructors you're going to find. The Keystone ski-school is second to none in getting new skiers of all ages and confidence levels up and going! No wonder Ski Magazine rated the ski school here as one of it's "Best Bets"! And the new Gondola at River Run with mid-station offload and onload allows for many fun top-to-bottom ski options!

PS: your ski pass will let you ski and ride A-Basin and Breckenridge, too! Arapahoe Basin is literally about 10 minutes away, Breck is maybe 20, but it depends on traffic and weather conditions. Keystone is a great central location!

ABOUT THE CONDO:
The condo has a full wood-burning fireplace, we provide the wood for you! Free Internet (wired & wireless), Free Local Calls, private gated parking... but I'm getting ahead of myself:

We have our own private six-person hot-tub. It's "in-unit" but not like buried away in the basement or anything... it's in it's own "solarium" type of room with windows that you can open, and with a door that opens onto the deck. So - you can get verrry relaxed without having to worry about dashing across some outdoor parking lot or a common patio or lobby when you're finished to get back to your rooms. In fact, you can go grab some nachos you have in the oven with cheese melting all over them, fix a drink, get back in the hot tub, and not worry about having to share it with some family from outer Mongolamia who's been waiting to get in for the last 20 minutes. This happened to me before at another place. It's distressing! Not here: It's all yours! Hog the hot-tub all you want!!! (And we have a guy check it about everyday for you!)

We mentioned an oven... it's in the full kitchen - next to the refrigerator where all those cold drinks are waiting! Do the dishes? Nah, put 'em in the dishwasher, let -it- do the dishes. You go on. Have a good time! It's a vacation, right?

Three bathrooms. Two with full baths with tub and shower, and since you're reading this, you're obviously going to be the one in the master bedroom where there's a brand new huge beautiful shower, new fixtures, and redesigned dressing area!

Ok, so your friends or family think -they- got the good rooms where the queen size bed and the queen size futon are in one of 'em, and the kids are all in that other room with the full size bed and the full size futon. But you've got the king size bed, and a full size futon, a private deck, a walk-in cedar closet, and huge (and intimate!) shower... it makes heading off to bed it's own mini vacation! There's a TV with a DVD player and a VCR in your room too, just like in the other two bedrooms. And yes, they're all on cable so even if it's snowing up something crazy outside, you can still catch 30 Rock. Or Law and Order. Or, ok: Deal or No Deal!

You can sleep a total of 14 in this condo, but 12 is probably more realistic as a maximum. We've had 15 in there. But it was pretty crowded!

Want some options on restaurants? This condo is right in the middle of Keystone, front and center, and so everything's within, like, a mile, maybe two at the most. We're talking 20 restaurants, with anything from Southeastern French cuisince to Burritos, Pizza, Buffalo Burgers, Steaks, Italian, high-brow, low-brow, whatever fits the mood of the evening! All in the neighborhood!

(Go ahead, just have fun, that's what you're here for!)

Ski-in Ski-Out, Sleeps 12, Chateaux D'Mont at Mountain House

Year Purchased: 2005

Why the Owner Chose Mountain House, Chateau d'Mont

This condo is located about 60 feet from the Peru lift straight out from the building, and 60 feet to the check-in of ski school, just down the main walkway at Mountain House; we had looked at about 20 condos before seeing this one which blew me away! This condo is all "location, location, location" with excellent ammenities. The fireplace and hot tub are icing on the cake!

The Unique Benefits at this Condo

It's been said by me and guests dozens of times: the location is one of the best you'll find at Keystone, and this is not just hype! Seriously: it's fantastic for kids because if they need ski school, it's very close for you to help them check into, if your kids are older, they'll be totally psyched at staying so close to one of the hippest terrain parks in the United States: Area 51. You'll love the convenience: be first on the slopes, come to the condo for lunch and a power nap or fun movie (hey, you're on "vacation"!) before hitting the slopes for afternoon and night skiing! The private in-unit hot tub allows you and your friends or family to totally kick back and enjoy life, and the fireplace? Fuggedaboutit!!! You'll l-o-v-e it! Gourmet kitchen for cooking great dinners, and easy access to 4 star restaurants, bars, tex-mex, chinese food, you name it, you got it!

I really enjoy talking with our guests and sharing with them all kinds of tips and things to do while they enjoy my condo at Keystone. I carry a cell phone you can always reach me on 24/7 by call my toll-free hotline (which I can't publish here); you can call with -any- question from where's Starbucks to where's a good place to eat to what do I suggest doing different level of experience for the skiiers and boarders in your group. I'll usually check in with you by phone at least once (if not twice) during your stay just to make sure everything is exceeding your expectations.

I totally believe in giving you service above and beyond! Read our testimonials and you'll see what others are saying.

Ps - my photo here was taken by my son at the top of Keystone Mountain!
