Leeward II unit I is on the first floor of a 9 unit building located in beautiful Seagrove Beach on the Florida Panhandle a few miles from the famous Seaside Community. The Florida Panhandle just got awarded the 2010 Frommers top 10 beach destination in the word. This one bedroom, one bath unit is located directly on the beach with a private walkway and only 5 steps down to the white sandy beach and emerald waters of the gulf. The ocean is so close you can see the shells washing up on the shore and dolphins jumping in the surf.
Our condo can sleep five with two bunks, one king size bed and a pull-out couch. Local art work is displayed in the hall and bedroom creating a beachy feel that immediately makes you happy to be at the beach.
OUR NEW KITCHEN was complete spring of 2009. Very beautiful granite counter tops and new custom cabinets complete with a new microwave, stove and conventional oven as well as a blender and coffee maker. Come see the new look at Leeward II unit 1.
The king size bed has new head board and white comforter and designer sheets. (no rental company sheets used).
The best feature of the unit is the private, spacious patio directly on the beach. Teak table, chairs and lounge with cushions are perfect for sunset dinners, sunning or dolphin watching. If you have children you can watch them build sand castles from the deck.
Leeward II is located near top restaurants and shopping as well as a coffee shop and wine bar. This is a real find. Shopping is 20 minutes away at Pier Park or visit the outlet malls in San Destin a 30 minute drive west. Seaside is 2 miles away and has the most activites for adults and children. Bikes are available to rent for the short hop to Seaside. Explore the 26 miles of bike/walking trail along 30A.
Ask about a fitness package and enjoy getting into shape while you vaction. Leeward II unit 1 is offering your choice of Yoga, Spin, or Boot camp classes at the Balance Studio a few miles from the condo. Hop on a bike and get those extra calories burned off. Ask about our fitness week.
If you visit us during turtle season, May-October, ask about joining the owner,Beth,on her walks searching for signs of turtle nest. Many of our vistors experienced turtle hatching.
Remember to take all your chairs and belongings up everynight and use turtle friendly flashlights at night keep the drapes drawn at night. This will be an experience of a life time.

Great attention to detail! Owner was great about working with us on early checkin/late checkout. We had a great time. Loved eating breakfast on the deck and being right on the beach was awesome! The private access beach door is right next to the bedroom wall and slams loud (people probably just aren't aware, not intentional)...if you're not an early riser this could bug you a bit.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.
Owner response: I did not realize the beach access door was making noise when shut and I am so sorry and wish you would have called while you were here and I would have had it fixed. I sent our builder out and happy to report it was a very easy adjustment and will no longer disturb our renters. Thank you for your great review.

I stayed in this unit at the start of Oct for a week with my wife and two boys (11y, 12y). The location can't be beat! Walk down a few steps off the back deck and you're in the sand - simply great. The weather was amazing that week - so lots of surf fishing and fun in the sand. The unit seemed to be very well maintained and very clean. We ate most meals in the unit - all appliances worked fine. Used the charcoal grill in the parking lot four times that week. The owner of the unit was really responsive to the few questions we did have. The only drawback for us personally - was the size. With our boys getting older (and bigger!) they won't fit in the hallway bunks much longer! But we will be back and just have to squeeze them in the bunks one more time :)Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We had a great time here. The condo was right on the beach and a simple walk from our patio door. It was very clean and very close to great restaurants. The patio was nice at night to sit and look at the stars. I would definitely come back and would recommend this place to my friends.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

My husband, our 3 year old, and I stayed in this wonderful condo, just PERFECT for the 3 of us! We ate on the patio, watched dolphins swimming & jumping in the ocean on Monday and before check out on Thursday! The beaches were perfect, we ate good food, made new friends, fished in the ocean, played in the sand & water, absolutely had the best time! Walk down 9 steps and you have sand between your toes! This condo is clean, nicely & colorfully decorated, and just perfect for a small family! Leeward II Unit I will be the top pick for this family! Seagrove is the place for us! Thank you Mrs. Beth for sharing your piece of paradise, we hope to be able to return next summer!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, girls getaway.

We arrived on a Saturday a little early for check-in, so we went and changed into our bathing suits and enjoyed the beautiful beach and water. The view from the deck is spectacular and the owners are super nice. We will definitely be coming back to this place!Recommended for: Families with young children.

Stayed at this property in April 2012. Fantastic place - nice, clean, updated, comfy bed!! On one of the more beautiful sections of beach. Beautiful views of the Gulf from the living room glass door. The deck size is great. You don't see decks of that size in other rentals. Owners are very nice and can recommend some things - if you ask (I inquired about fitness facilities and was given some great choices). Highly recommended for a nice, serene, getaway. Close to a lot of things.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+.

We stayed here for 5 nights back in May of 2011. We chose this condo because of its huge deck and proximity to the beach. We were married on May 21st on the beach right in front of the condo and had the reception on the deck! It was amazing! The condo is updated and has everything you need! It is decorated so cute as well! You will not be disappointed if you stay here! The large oversized deck with direct access to the beach is awesome! You will love being able to walk straight out to the beach! Meals on the large deck while looking at the ocean is the best! We will definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

We stayed here for a long weekend and had a wonderful time. The condo is clean, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The location is stunning. The kids exclaimed..." I can't believe we have a beach as our backyard!" and they loved the bunk beds too. The large back porch is the main attraction. Right next to the stairs that lead you within 5 steps to the beach. Great location in Seagrove too! Quite street and a bike ride away from a few great restaurants in Seagrove or take a longer bike ride into Seacrest and WaterColors full of shops and restaurants. The owner was accommodating and friendly and our stay was hassle-free. The price is well worth it. We will be back!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

I sent my parents here on their 40th anniversary. They were ecstatic with the accommodations. The place was very clean, very well kept and they had an amazing time. The location is close to everything you need, but quiet enough to not be bothered. It is exactly as it is pictured. The owners also went out of their way to make sure every detail was handled and I truly appreciate their efforts. They were available for questions and even gave me a list of nearby restaurants so I could shop ahead for gift certificates. They certainly did not have to do anything extra but they made sure their stay was incredible. We will be renting this condo everytime we come down if it is available.Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, girls getaway.

About the owner: My name is Beth and my husband and I own this condo. I continue to update and change the decor making it a fun and comfortable place to stay. We live down the street in Seacrest and love the beach, fishing, turtle walking,shelling and eating out. Being local I check after each cleaning to make sure the condo is ready for your visit.
Why the Owner Chose Leeward II:
We purchased this condo because of location to the beach and the large patio. You walk right out to the beach or sit on the patio and enjoy the beach from the patio. The condo is off 30A so visitors to our condo do not hear street noise. The beach is very quite at this end since it is private.
