We were very pleased with this condo. Pictures are just as the place is like. Place has everything you need well stocked kitchen with George Forman grill, morning newspaper, and wifi. Owners are very helpful and work with you while making all arrangements. P lace is well kept as is the outside of the property. Sunsets are something only God could arrange they are without a doubt the most beautiful we have ever seen. Safeway food market is within w alking distance as is Walgreen and other places to eat and shop. Warren and Anabelle comedy magic show a must see. We have seen the whales straight out in the water. A whale watching boat trip is a must also. If you are use to sailing a trip out on the America Cup boat is something you will enjoy. Plan on getting wet it is the real deal. If you are not here for a long time we would recommend you not use a whole day for a drive to Hana, plus it is a very hectic SMALL road to travel. For a vacation of plenty of R&R, as is what we came for, this is the place to stay. Quiet and out of the way ,mornings if you are a light sleeper you may hear the morning traffic but it really didn't bother us. THANKS JUDY AND BUCK.

very nice location and condo building. Great access to Lahaina and the NW part of the island. Well maintained building and unit. Enjoyed the dishwasher and the in-unit laundry. Very quiet , few children. Wonderful view. Would recommend staying here and hope to return.

Recommended for:Age 55+, sightseeing.

Thanks so much for the use of your condo. It was just as described - in excellent condition, clean and organized, and offered everything we needed. Location was great - view spectacular. Owners were helpful and accommodating - thanks for letting us check out later in the day! We had a great week in Lahaina and surrounding areas. We would highly recommend this unit to our friends. (Didn't miss air conditioning at all - the breeze from the ocean was delightful and fans provided ample cool breeze!) Excellent place!

We just had new carpet installed, and completely painted the condo throughout. The tile in the bathroom is also a new feature. We try to accomodate our renters as much as possible, so their trip will be the best ever.

What a treat to get to stay at this sweet condo! It was a perfect size for our family of four! We could walk to nearby restaurants, had reserved parking, and were just minutes from town, beaches, shopping, and great food! The best part is the location. You cannot get ANY closer to the ocean, unless you were on a boat! While our friends stayed in condos that had no ocean view, or just a partial view, our entire view was ocean! We even had our own turtle family right outside! Since we kept the windows open to catch the breeze, we realized (with delight) that we had to actually raise our voices over the sound of the crashing waves! Paradise! The kitchen is well equipped, and had everything we needed. With 2 kids, I'm so happy we had the washer and dryer! It saved us! Any time we wanted to swim, we practically had the pool to ourselves as well as the BBQ! We will definitely return to Lahaina Roads, where we lived like locals on vacation!

If you're looking for a relaxing and peaceful week in paradise, Lahaina Roads is the answer! Wake up every morning to the waves crashing and the sun shining, and go to bed to the breathtaking Maui sunset! The condo is clean, comfortable, and the location is prime for afternoon walks to the beach or an evening bike ride into town where you can take your pick of hundreds of local shops and restaurants. This is the perfect vacation destination! Our honeymoon was unforgettable thanks to the Bucks and their beautiful condo by the sea!!

What an amazing time we had in Judy & Wayne's condo. I have been there on more than one occasion and it seems like it just gets better every time. They have recently updated it with new paint and carpet too! The views are breathtaking and the location couldn't be more perfect. Don't even start with us on the price. My wife and I can't believe the value. Forget about staying anywhere else. You definitely need to check the Bucks condo out. lahainacondo.com

We recently stayed at this property and were not totally satisfied. Yes the view is absolutely STUNNING and the property is in a good location (but we needed to wear ear plugs at night because of street noise). A walk able distance to the Safeway & Old Lahaina Luau and a short drive to the middle of Front St. and quick access to the highway. Upon arrival we were disappointed in the condition of the condo. The entire condo is in need of updating. The carpet is dirty and you can see the wear, the cupboards where well stocked but dirty around the handles. The furnishings (bed, bedding, and curtains) need to be replaced and updated as the wear and age is evident. The resident manager is very unfriendly you do not feel welcome on the property. The grounds were well maintained but like the condo some things need to be updated (the pool has tiles falling off the wall.) I was also hoping that the owners would be a little more helpful and accommodating. I asked for directions to the property and was told to google map it, we tried to contact them to arrange an early check in as we had groceries that would spoil in the car due to the heat and they would not accommodate that nor did they respond until an hour before we were supposed to check in. Due to our own personal experience we would not recommend this property to our friends or family in the condo's current state. If this condo were to be remodelled and updated I think that the stay would be much more comfortable and appreciated.

Owner response:Dear Kim, Thanks for your review.The owners of the condo are my amazing parents & I'll try not to let that bias my response. I agree with you on something Kim, the view IS absolutely stunning and the location is perfect. A short walk to the Lahaina Cannery Mall & into the town of Lahaina. OCEAN FRONT: I've found (over the MANY years that I've stayed in the condo) that if I just shut the back windows, I don't hear street noise. Any condo on the main strip of Lahaina that is OCEAN FRONT WILL have the little 2-lane road behind their condo. I suppose if you don't want any street noise at all, you'd have to sacrifice & not have the direct ocean-front view, but simply closing the window-an easy fix. NEW UPDATES TO THE CONDO:My parents spend a lot of thoughtful consideration, time, & money to make at least one (or more) major improvements to the condo each year. In fact, brand new paint & carpeting going in this July as well as the recently completed new tilework in the bathroom.Not sure about 'the dirt around the handles' - perhaps the cleaning crew missed that minor detail this time. In addition, the wonderful Hawaiian-themed bedding, new furniture (dresser, side tables) & other furnishings are VERY nice and they replace all furnishings as needed. BEAUTIFUL PROPERTY: Our resident manager takes incredible care of the grounds, landscaping, building itself, and pool (by the way, the tile-work on the pool is beautifully done but I'll have him see if he can try to find which tiles you are talking about and are needing to be re-adhered). My parents gave you directions coming from Kihei (where you were staying prior to heading over to Lahaina) to follow the signs to Lahaina which are very visible and a short easy drive, but google maps is another simple way to find the complex. EARLY CHECK IN/LATE CHECK OUT AVAILABLE: My parents are very accommodating when their guests need an early check-in or late check-out. They DO however kindly request more than just a ONE day advance notice in order to arrange for the cleaning to be done in time. Kim, to their credit I know that they communicated with you back and forth more than 33 times to answer all of your questions prior to your visit to their condo to include offering you the LATE check out you requested. In the past 15 years of renting, my parents haven't had a single complaint & are proud of taking GREAT care of their guests! Hope you find something that suits YOUR needs better next time. Although I'm related to the owners (my parents) I will try to avoid being biased. Great location- short walk to Starbucks, Lahaina Cannery Mall, Barnes/Noble, and into the quaint shopping town of Lahaina full of fabulous restaurants; incredible view from the lanai and even whale watching in season (ocean front); beautifully decorated yet super comfortable at the same time to include board games, books, free wi-fi, DVD player, and CD player with a full stock of Hawaiian CD's; peaceful, relaxing, and the best place to relax in the warm tropical sunshine! Mahalo Tutu & Kane (grandparents in Hawaiian) for your incredible wisdom in purchasing this condo back in the day... and to my parents for allowing us to stay there for an amazing get-a-way!

We had a wonderful time at the condo. Beautiful view! Right on the water! We loved the short walk into the heart of Lahaina and yet the fact that it was not in the city either. Plenty of room in the condo for our whole family and a pleasure to be there from start to finish!

I have stayed here several times with my husband and kids and we ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!! Every time I go I am amazed at how beautiful the view is from this condo (which is located on 4th floor in the middle which means one of the best views in the whole complex). I also love the location...close to lots of fabulous shopping and restaurants. The condo is really clean and well maintained, also the owners were really easy to work with! I will definately be going back to Lahaina and staying in this condo again...Thank You!!!

.... We just got back from Maui and your condo. I had a hard time getting my wife on the plane as she wanted to stay there. We loved your condo and the view. We treated the place as our own, took off shoes and things like that. We liked it so much that we would like to come back next year for a longer stay, like over 22 days in May. .....

We love the view and the sound of the ocean ............ We are loving your hospitality as we are finding everything we need at the condo...... we have stayed in KoOlina and Oahu and at the Four Seasons in Wailea. My wife feels most comfortable and at home here at Lahaina Roads ..............

What a wonderful place .......... we had such a relaxing time that we did not leave 409 for a day. We really enjoyed the view, sounds of the ocean and of course Dr Tom blowing a shell (conch shell) at sunset. Everyone there was very nice!
