Large 3800 square foot stone and wood luxury contemporary at 3500 foot elevation; ideal for extended family get-togethers. Two large stone patios and a sunroom. Landscaped for summer shade and winter sun through large picture windows. 500 square foot great-room with a central fireplace. Fifth bedroom is a studio.
This is a private vacation home and furnished with a personal touch, but made available to respectful renters.
Gas fireplace/heat/water, plus air conditioning. Extensively landscaped for privacy and view west. Short paved access road from major road (NC194). Four miles to Linville and 15 mins to Banner Elk for skiing. Only 30 minutes to Blowing Rock on the Parkway.

Other Attractions: Property attraction refer to Avery County. Parkway access three miles, Grandfather Mountain seven miles. Hiking, fishing all around. Lakeshore marina on Watauga lake is about 30 minutes away. Cool summer golfing at 3000-5000 feet is close by.
Sugar and Beech ski areas within 15 and 25 mins respectively. Blowing Rock is 30 minutes away on the Parkway, which is 3 miles drive.

This is a mountain contemporary house which have been fully refurbished and totally winterized. It is made for extended family stays, while enjoying the NC mountains all year around. We encourage weekly rentals for families and have kids bikes, swings and a playhouse at the house.
