Welcome to the Chocolate Moose Lodge... your retreat from the ordinary! The Lodge offers the very best of Colorado. This luxurious 3,200 square foot, 3 story custom crafted log home features four bedrooms and three and a half baths, and offers everything you need for the perfect mountain retreat. This spacious home is tucked away in the aspens with breathtaking views of South Park and Silverheels Mountain. Built in 2001, the home has been recently outfitted with top of the line furnishings and appliances.
The main floor master has a king-size custom log bed. The master bath features an oversized, jetted tub and separate shower with seat. A private door in the master bedroom leads to the hot-tub on the side deck.
Also on the main level is a beautiful great room with vaulted ceilings, wood burning stove, and entertainment center with TV/DVD/Satellite. The dining room seats eight with seating for an additional five guests at the island in the kitchen.
Our fully equipped kitchen will allow you to prepare any meal, from Christmas Dinner to a quick apres' ski snack! Complete dinner service for 12 is available. The kitchen has a smooth surface range, microwave, double-door refrigerator with water filtration, and dishwasher. Many conveniences such as a crock pot, dual coffee makers, and spice rack make cooking a breeze.
The upper level features a full-size bath and two bedrooms. The "buckaroo" room has three twin sized beds. This room has a TV with Satellite. The "Fisherman" room has three twin beds.
The lower level features a second master bedroom with king-size log bed and a private bath. Also on this level is a large media room with TV/DVD/Surround Sound/Satellite/game cube. The media room also has a queen size sofa sleeper. The laundry room has a full-size washer and dryer.
The home features a large wrap around deck. Enjoy the amazing views from our brand new hot tub or grill your dinner on the gas BBQ and take in the fresh mountain air! Comfortable lounge chairs are also available, and are perfect for an afternoon snooze or to lie back and view the stars at night.

Winter:
World class down hill skiing is a 28 mile drive to Breckenridge. Cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and snowmobiling are close by on the many forest access trails. The Fairplay Nordic center is just a few miles away with maintained cross country trails.
Summer:
World class fishing, mountain biking, and hiking are just moments from the door. Or try your luck in one of the property's six private, stocked fishing ponds! River Rafting and Mt. Princeton Hot Springs are located in Buena Vista 30 miles away. Historic South Park City, an 1880’s restored outdoor museum is located on Front Street in downtown Fairplay.
The brand new 8,000 square foot Fairplay Recreation Center offers a feature pool and complete gym for your use.

We just spent 2 wonderful weeks at the Chocolate Moose Lodge to celebrate Christmas and our 10th wedding anniversary! A beautiful log house with fabulous Colorado views. The kitchen was very well equipped and everything about the house was warm and inviting including the great hot tub on the deck. Thank you Heather and Sue for sharing your beautiful Colorado home with us. We hope to be back soon! Katharine and Chuck

I took 6 of my Creative Memories customers to Chocolate Moose lodge for a crop retreat and we died and went to heaven!! It was incredible and so beautifully decorated. It is a perfect crop set-up and Sue and Heather have really outdone themselves on so many of the little touches to make it feel special. Tracie Estrom (the massage therapist) was fabulous and added to the whole weekend. If you want the perfect retreat..this is it!!

I have a scrapbook group in Colorado Springs (Chicks with Scissors) and several of us went up to the Cho Moo Lodge (as we call it) and had an ABSOLUTE blast. Sue is so easy to work with and the lodge is absolutely gorgeous!! There is a reason the place is booked through August 2007, it's PHENOMENAL!! We are planning on making it at least a yearly event with our group and highly recommend it to any scrapper whether you are beginner or advanced...you will love the Chocolate Moose Lodge!
